00:00 Am I good to go?
00:02 >> Yes, you're set.
00:03 >> Man, I got a lot to say, so y'all buckle up.
00:07 >> [LAUGH] >> I started to realize something.
00:12 When we play this game on Sundays, and it's really the Lord's Day.
00:17 And on the day we should be worshiping the Lord,
00:19 a lot of times the players are getting worshiped.
00:21 And we get to go on this ball field.
00:22 So since so many of us didn't get to go to church today,
00:25 I have a word that I wanna share.
00:27 I know this is a little untraditional.
00:28 So like I said, buckle up.
00:31 Revelations 320 says, see I stand at the door and knock.
00:38 If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and
00:42 dine with him and eat with him and he with me.
00:45 I wanna tell you all about a knock that I heard this week.
00:47 A lot of people don't know this, but on Friday, my daughter,
00:52 she's four years old, she had her third epilepsy seizure attack.
00:58 It's my same daughter who survived retinoblastoma.
01:02 She's been totally cleared of that.
01:03 But she had her third seizure, and it's been almost two years.
01:09 She was about a month away.
01:10 If she would have had no seizures for one more month,
01:12 then she would have been off the medicine.
01:14 But now we have to start that clock all over.
01:16 It was on Friday when we was a bunch of kids were over at the house and
01:19 she was playing, and I noticed something was off.
01:20 And I told her mom, I thought she was having a seizure.
01:25 Her mom was pretty good.
01:26 She saw my wife and we took her in her room, didn't wanna cause a scene.
01:29 And she started to foam at the mouth and it was her worst seizure.
01:33 For 30 minutes, she seized.
01:38 She wouldn't come when we had called paramedics.
01:41 They came.
01:42 So over the course of time, it had been a total of 30 minutes.
01:44 They got her in.
01:45 My wife got in the paramedics with her.
01:46 I got behind them driving.
01:50 You can imagine all the thoughts just rushing through your mind.
01:52 The last sight you see of your daughter, she's totally out of it.
01:56 Got to the hospital and
01:57 my wife told me that my daughter stopped breathing in the car twice.
02:00 So I'm of course praying we get to the hospital.
02:05 They give her a bunch of medicine that she sees to stop, she's laying there.
02:09 And at this point, if she's seized for 30 minutes, you start to fear
02:13 there could be development issues that could mess with her brain.
02:15 She stopped breathing, there was no oxygen going to her brain.
02:19 You're starting to think about her speech be slurred or anything.
02:24 Or worse.
02:24 So we prayed and we prayed and she had medicine and
02:29 my wife and I had to stay overnight at the hospital.
02:32 And in the middle of the night, probably about three o'clock, I heard a knock.
02:36 And the knock was my daughter.
02:40 I prayed for her.
02:41 I said, God, let this just be an attack from the enemy.
02:44 He's just trying to be a distraction and let him have overplayed his hand.
02:48 And my daughter come back stronger than before.
02:50 When I heard my daughter talk in the middle of the night, my daughter,
02:53 she doesn't have any development issues, praise God.
02:57 She doesn't have any slurred speech prior to this.
02:59 She woke up talking clearer than she was talking before.
03:03 Now anyone who deal with epilepsy knows that it takes a little few days for
03:07 them to come back.
03:09 They usually can't get back to normal or wherever they were.
03:12 But it takes a couple days, they're groggy, it's a lot because what their body
03:15 is like, it's like the TV's just static in the inner brain.
03:17 She was talking clearer than before.
03:20 It was three o'clock and we heard her talk and
03:22 we let her talk for about 20 minutes and said, hey baby, it's nighttime.
03:24 Let's go back to sleep.
03:26 And I just prayed.
03:27 I started saying, praise God, praise God.
03:28 The next morning when she got up, my daughter was so sharp.
03:33 She was able to talk to me and her mom.
03:36 I mean, clear conversation.
03:38 She's sharp for a four year old.
03:39 No stuttering.
03:41 All her words clear.
03:42 And my daughter, like I said, my daughter is already sharp.
03:44 She was sharper than before.
03:46 And if any of you were able to have a conversation with my daughter,
03:49 you wouldn't know anything had ever happened.
03:51 So we had a birthday party for my seven year old daughter that day.
03:54 She got to be released from the hospital and she came back home.
03:57 And it was as if nothing was happening.
03:58 She was playing with the kids the day before.
04:01 And she had the worst seizure that she had ever had.
04:04 And the next day, she's back out there playing with the kids.
04:07 Now, of course, we can't let her get overstimulated.
04:09 We have to keep bringing her in.
04:10 Have to keep cooling her down.
04:12 Can't let her do too much just because of protocol.
04:14 But when I tell you, I got a chance to hear a knock from God.
04:19 And what I want to share is we get to play this game and it's great.
04:23 And there's so many amazing things that happen in that game.
04:27 And everybody wants to hear about them.
04:28 But when we leave this game, we go back to being regular people.
04:31 And regular people are living life.
04:34 And people are waiting for a knock.
04:35 And the word says who Jesus is, he's knocking at the door.
04:39 All you gotta do is get up.
04:40 And so on the way, man, I'm nervous, but I'm praying.
04:45 And I'm trusting.
04:47 And I'm believing.
04:49 And I'm asking for my daughter to make it through.
04:51 I'm asking that she's better than before.
04:53 And God gave me just what I asked for plus some.
04:56 I was blown away.
04:58 And at that point, I knew, well, the game is already,
05:01 the game is gonna take care of itself.
05:02 My knock had already been answered.
05:06 And I just want people to know, if you got stuff going on in your life,
05:10 lay it before the Lord.
05:11 Lay it before the Lord and trust.
05:14 And be expecting of a knock.
05:16 Because the word says what you have to do is you have to get up and
05:19 open the door.
05:21 He's not gonna open the door for you.
05:22 He's gonna knock.
05:23 But you have to be listening and waiting for the knock.
05:26 And when you see it, you have to get up and open the door.
05:28 And your blessing is gonna be there.
05:30 Now I'm gonna be here to talk about football next week.
05:32 I wish y'all well.
05:33 Happy Sunday and praise God.
