00:23 Carabobo is located in the north of the country and it is an industrial region.

00:27 In this state, we will visit Don Tito, an essential poultry company for the food industry of the country.

00:55 At the entrance, the Egg Monument is a poultry company.

00:59 This industrial poultry house accommodates a total of 220,000 laying hens.

01:06 Giancarlo is one of the people in charge of feeding and maintenance.

01:10 He is a farmer by birth and has been with the company for seven years.

01:15 I learned everything I know about birds here.

01:23 I had worked with other animals, with cattle, with pigs, but not with birds.

01:28 And I learned here. I started in raising and breeding, where they arrive, little ones, just 24 hours after they were born.

01:36 With these small touches, they control if they have enough calcium.

01:46 Then they are passed on to the transport machines and then they are cataloged.

01:51 Here, they produce eight different types.

01:55 70% is automated. It needs another 30% from the workers.

02:04 Without that, we can't make the selection that the company needs to be able to distribute the classification.

02:09 Having started operations in 2008, they also produce dressing and mayonnaise.

02:19 They are 256 workers. They modernize to improve production.

02:25 We are pioneers in this cutting-edge technology. Not everyone adapts. It is not easy.

02:36 Our poultry farming was of California stuffed floor hens. We innovated.

02:41 We brought technology from outside, Brazilian, European, and we have elevated the sheds of seven floors.

03:00 Before, 90% of the eggs were bought from Brazil and Colombia. Now, Venezuela produces 100% of what it consumes.
