00:00 Hi, I'm Adrian Burnett. I'm the Senior Producer and Curator of New Annual Festival, which
00:05 runs from the 22nd of September to the 1st of October. And I want to share with you my
00:10 top five tips for the festival this year. Starting with Circa, what will it be at Christchurch
00:17 Cathedral, an iconic venue. It is on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of September,
00:24 and it is one of our marquee shows. Super exciting. I then would follow that by This
00:30 Land, which is curated by local First Nations artist Jacob Ridgeway, headlined by Becca
00:36 Hatch. And it has a range of First Nations up and coming and well established musical
00:43 acts. It'll be in our Museum Park precinct. That's on the Friday the 29th from 6pm to
00:50 9pm. And following that on the 30th of September in Museum Park is Global Gathering. It's a
00:57 brand new event for us. And it is a celebration of the art, the diversity, the culture, the
01:03 food, the taste, the sounds of Newcastle and the Hunter region. And it is going to be emcee
01:09 by Yumi Steins, who is an extremely well known and popular ABC presenter. And it will have
01:17 a host of artists from musical acts to flamenco to fantastic bands, great food. I think that
01:26 is going to be an absolute winner. My last two, one of them is Rhapsody that's on the
01:31 first weekend. That is a brand new contemporary dance work that New Annual has commissioned
01:37 by Omer Astrakhan and presented by Catapult Dance on the fifth story of Wilson's Car Park
01:43 at the store. And Good Morning, which is presented by Tantrum Youth Arts, a very well known and
01:50 loved theatre company here in Newcastle and presented where we are right now at Civic
01:57 Theatre in the Playhouse. So I reckon that's my five top picks.
