00:01 You have no idea how excited I am to see these pretty faces.
00:05 We are at Camp Buddy Games.
00:07 This feels like an adult summer camp.
00:09 Go on the sound of my bugle, all right?
00:11 Good luck.

00:13 Buddy Games came about 20 years ago
00:16 with a group of my friends who wanted an excuse
00:18 to get back together.
00:19 And we always dreamt about having a show based on that,
00:22 because we knew other people around the country
00:24 did versions of this.
00:25 We wanted to sort of share what we do
00:27 and allow people to let that kid out.
00:30 How often in life do you get a chance to go play,
00:32 be with your friends, and compete
00:34 against a bunch of other friends?
00:35 And that's exactly what this place is for.
00:36 I can't ask them to do anything that I wouldn't do myself,
00:39 right?
00:40 We're used to competing sometimes against each other.
00:42 But now we're competing all together
00:44 to go crush other people.
00:46 We have six teams of four.
00:47 Every episode, there will be one big game.
00:49 And the team that loses has to send
00:51 one of their contestants home.
00:52 You're going to be facing off in losers' last stand.
00:55 What we looked for was people that have certain qualities
00:58 in these friendships.
00:59 And they had to be deep-rooted, old friendships, that thing
01:02 that makes them real friends.
01:03 I stuck with me through my worst times.
01:06 And I still do.
01:07 Coming into the Buddy Games, we don't have a plan.
01:10 There is no set leader.
01:11 That's what the cool thing is about this group,
01:12 is we all bring our own skill set.
01:13 It is very competitive.
01:14 Some of the competitions that we have are crazy.
01:17 Yeah, buddy!
01:18 It's also an opportunity for a lot of these people
01:20 to rekindle old friendships and sort of relive their youth.
01:22 We're all pretty much the entire group of around 30 years.
01:25 I think we're trying to hang on to our glory days.
01:27 Possibly end in a row, hopefully not.
01:28 Lance and Rob, but we're still going.
01:30 We're still ready.
01:30 We're amped up for this.
01:31 Let's go!
01:32 The big cash prize at the end of this thing is $200,000.
01:35 So they are definitely incentivized to do well.
01:37 These are all like my brothers.
01:39 And we are forever friends.
01:40 We are going to help us win some money.
01:42 Let's go!
01:44 Let's go get 'em!
01:45 We met through Derby.
01:46 And we've been friends ever since.
01:47 We are rougher on the edges.
01:48 Yeah.
01:49 Anyone who underestimates us is automatically
01:51 making a huge mistake.
01:52 So I think that we'll be more prepared than anybody else,
01:55 which is going to help us win this whole thing.
01:56 People are going to watch this.
01:58 And they're going to be reminded of their friends.
