00:00 A possible NSYNC VMA reunion has millennials losing it online.
00:04 Cardi B wants to collab with the legend, Maluma catches a crutch on stage, and Renee Rapp
00:09 reveals what's on her playlist.
00:14 Welcome back to Billboard News, it's Tuesday, September 12th.
00:17 I'm Rania Niftos in for Tetris because he's on his way to New York City chasing a certain
00:22 rumor about an NSYNC reunion.
00:25 The boys of NSYNC have been spotted in New York City and it has fans speculating that
00:29 they may reunite for the VMAs.
00:31 Here's what we know.
00:37 NSYNC first performed at the VMAs in 1999 with the help of Britney Spears, and the last
00:42 time Justin Timberlake, J.C.
00:43 Chauze, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick all performed together was at
00:48 the 2013 VMAs.
00:56 So with most of the boy band members being seen around the Big Apple, fans think that
01:00 the VMAs would be the perfect setting for the group to reunite.
01:03 Justin posted pics from the Museum of Modern Art, Lance had a dinner with a friend in Manhattan,
01:08 Joey was spotted by fans in the streets, and J.C.'s manager posted a pic of him on a private
01:13 plane.
01:14 That just leaves Chris.
01:15 Has anyone seen him around the tri-state area?
01:17 It's been rumored that NSYNC recorded new music for Justin's movie Trolls Band Together,
01:22 the third installment of the franchise, where his character reunites with his childhood
01:26 boy band.
01:33 And the promo even features music from NSYNC.
01:39 Fans have been begging for a full reunion after the band, minus J.T., joined Ariana
01:43 Grande on stage at Coachella in 2019.
01:46 So at this point, we'll take anything we can get.
01:49 As for someone who's definitely performing at the VMAs tonight, Cardi B.
01:53 She was on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, and you know that it was entertaining.
01:58 In a 2017 interview with Billboard magazine, you admitted that a lot of designers refused
02:04 to work with you, so you decided to purchase their clothing until they realized what a
02:09 fashion icon you were.
02:11 What is one designer that refused to work with you that then came crawling back years
02:15 later?
02:16 I had a feeling.
02:23 Cardi B stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Monday night ahead of her VMA performance
02:27 to chat it up with Andy Cohen.
02:29 During the call-in segment, a fan asked if Cardi will finally collab with her hero Lil
02:34 Kim on her upcoming sophomore album, to which the rapper said, "I want to make sure that
02:39 it's like the greatest song, but I would love, love, love, love to do a song with Lil
02:43 Kim.
02:44 Like, I love her."
02:45 Then, after her start on Love & Hip Hop, when asked if Cardi would ever do a reality show
02:49 with husband Offset, "I feel like I will get canceled every day."
02:53 And finally, when Andy asked if criticism gets to Cardi, she had the best response.
02:58 "It does penetrate me, but then I get over it, because it's like, 'Look at you, you're
03:01 a bum.'"
03:02 Let's talk about Maluma.
03:04 He's the latest victim of people throwing things on stage, and he handled it like a
03:07 pro.
03:08 It's getting wild out here.
03:10 Maluma had a crutch thrown at him on stage.
03:13 Yep, you heard that right.
03:15 A crutch.
03:16 While on stage during his Don Juan world tour, Maluma showed he's got a voice and reflexes
03:26 when a fan threw their crutch on stage.
03:29 The Latin singer effortlessly snatched the mobility aid out of the air before breaking
03:33 into laughter.
03:34 He then proceeded to use it as a prop to lean on and dance with.
03:38 We're so happy it didn't hit and injure him, but you guys really have to stop throwing
03:42 things on stage.
03:50 Before we let you go, Renee Rapp stopped by to break down what's on her playlist.
03:54 What's up, my name is Renee Rapp and this is my playlist.
04:00 My road trip playlist would be a song called Colorado by a very cute blonde girl named
04:07 Renee.
04:08 Pretty hot song.
04:09 It's all about exploring.
04:14 Just the whole Golden Hour album by KC is going to be on there.
04:20 And then Top of the World by The Carpenters would be on there.
04:24 So that is my road trip playlist.
04:29 My shower playlist is as follows.
04:32 One Plus One by Beyonce.
04:34 Bootylicious by Destiny's Child.
04:37 And In Love With Another Man by Jasmine Sullivan.
04:42 My workout playlist is the straight gay icon Charli XCX.
04:47 Right now it's Speed Drive.
04:50 She's so hot and so cool and super talented.
04:54 Anything Megan Thee Stallion.
04:55 I love to work out too.
04:57 Oh, probably anything Nicki Minaj.
05:00 Like Red Ruby the Sleaze, things like that.
05:03 Like Old Nicki I think would be really nice.
05:06 So depending on what kind of mood I'm in, I could work out to Taylor Swift.
05:09 I run a mile to Enchanted.
05:11 I'm going fast as fuck.
05:12 So yeah, that's my playlist.
05:15 That's today's show.
05:16 Come back tomorrow to see which legend we have on the cover of Billboard.
05:20 Plus our recap of the VMAs and stay locked into our socials to see all our interviews
05:24 from the red carpet.
