00:00 Alright, I am here with Sean Bankhead and Sean, this is a huge moment for me.
00:03 This is huge.
00:04 Oh, for you.
00:05 This is huge for me to be talking to you.
00:07 Oh my gosh, please.
00:09 So, obviously, I need to talk about Oh My Mama.
00:13 Let's just get into it.
00:14 Oh my gosh, please.
00:15 All the Easter eggs that you put into that.
00:17 Thank you, first of all.
00:18 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:19 Let's talk about Katy Banz.
00:20 Let's talk about the Hilltoe.
00:21 Like, what was the creative process between you, Aja, Victoria to get all of these Easter
00:27 eggs and put them in for us?
00:28 Well, shout out to Victoria and Aja, my assistant.
00:30 I mean, I think we knew that we wanted to celebrate and highlight black culture, black
00:35 viral moments, and I grew up in that culture.
00:38 I grew up in Atlanta, so I know where a lot of the viral dances came from and where they
00:41 were born, and I was doing those dances myself.
00:44 So, it was kind of easy for me.
00:45 I just was having a blast, feeling like I was in high school again.
00:48 You know, just doing the Hilltoe and the Chicken Head and the Mono and, you know, the Whoop
00:52 Rico and just a lot of dances that I had fun doing when I was, you know, dancing in high
00:56 school.
00:57 I was reading the comments and people were really appreciative that you called it the
01:00 Mono.
01:01 You were like, "They really know."
01:02 That's the Mono.
01:03 This is the Mono.
01:04 This is the Chicken Head.
01:06 There is a difference.
01:07 Okay, I don't think they heard y'all.
01:09 Let them know really quickly.
01:10 What is the main difference and how do you showcase that?
01:14 I think the Mono's a little tighter, like this.
01:16 Like this is the Mono and the Chicken Head, you kind of, it's more St. Louis.
01:19 You kind of like, I don't know.
01:20 I could be wrong, but it's how I feel in my spirit.
01:23 That's what I say.
01:24 I love the way your face changed when you did that Chicken Head.
01:27 Exactly.
01:28 It's gotta be in your face.
01:29 That's the difference.
01:30 That's the difference right there.
01:31 Yeah.
01:32 And then you also did the Bongo's music video.
01:33 I did what I did.
01:34 And we're premiering the performance tonight at the VMAs, which I gotta run in there so
01:37 we can get set up, but yeah.
01:39 Okay, and I saw you were posting about the poses because you said, "I love the behind
01:44 the scenes."
01:45 Yes, yes.
01:46 And I saw you and your team were doing the damn thing on that jungle gym.
01:50 It hurt, but, you know, beauty is pain, right?
01:53 I love being able to do stuff that's outside the box.
01:55 Actually, the inspiration for that was Britney Spears' Madonna, Me Against the Music.
02:01 So there's a scene where they're sliding with the bedpost, and I was like, "Oh, that's a
02:03 really dope idea."
02:05 And then our incredible set designer, his name is Spencer, built this structure, and
02:09 I was like, "Huh, I could have fun with that."
02:11 And that's what we did.
02:12 And y'all definitely did.
02:14 Well, I can't wait for this performance.
02:15 I'm going to be hooting and hollering.
02:17 Yes, please.
02:18 Scream.
02:19 Can't wait.
02:20 Bongo's.
02:21 Bong.
02:22 (swoosh)
