Eu vejo várias pessoas fazendo isso, palestras, talk-shows. Eu gostaria muito de fazer, porque eu acho que é o nosso ‘dever’ motivar outras pessoas.”

00:00 You say you're thinking about some possible paths,
00:03 what you're going to do, some doors are opening.
00:07 What do you think about the future?
00:10 Will you keep playing volleyball, go out a little, rest?
00:14 What are your plans?
00:15 Actually, I think, I have some possibilities
00:20 that I always like to talk about.
00:22 The first one is to take a little of this knowledge
00:25 that I had through the years as an athlete, to other people.
00:30 I think it's very important. I see many people doing this,
00:34 lectures, talk shows, anyway.
00:37 I'd like to do it a lot because I think it's our...
00:42 Maybe it's our duty to motivate other people.
00:45 Because the more time I have in this profession,
00:49 I see that the athlete is very resilient.
00:53 He can show other people how positive it is
00:57 to always fight for something. Fighting in a good way.
01:01 I see that we make many sacrifices.
01:06 And sacrifices in a good way, not in a bad way.
01:10 But we can share our experiences with many people.
01:13 To motivate, to have a better society.
01:17 I think about it a lot.
01:19 What I always said, I always think,
01:22 what I did during these years in my career,
01:25 I want to leave a legacy, something nice.
01:29 If it's for one person, I'll be happy.
01:33 I receive many messages from people who motivate themselves.
01:37 I talk about inspiration and everything.
01:40 I'm very happy and I want to leave it to more people.
01:42 I think it's very important.
01:44 Especially in Brazil, I think we lack this.
01:47 We lack people who motivate us.
01:49 So we can be a mirror for people.
01:53 Especially for young people.
01:55 I hope to continue this work at some point.
01:58 Besides the communication part, which I like.
02:02 I'm always invited by Sport TV to make commentaries about games.
02:06 -I like it. -You worked at Rio Olympics.
02:09 -Exactly. -As a commentator.
02:11 In London, in Beijing. I like to do it.
02:13 Now, in the pre-Olympics, I have to do some games.
02:16 I'm not in Brazil, but I have to do some.
02:18 -I like it a lot. -That's cool.
02:20 But maybe it's not a fixed thing.
02:22 I think there are some possibilities.
02:25 I'd like to...
02:26 Of course, when we stop...
02:28 Years and years without a break, without a holiday,
02:31 without weekends...
02:32 You asked me about volleyball.
02:34 To follow a thing in volleyball,
02:36 I'd have to be more attached to an institution.
02:38 For example, in Minas. I'd have to be there.
02:40 I'd like to be more free to make my dreams come true
02:44 after my career.
02:46 There are also things about our family in Rio Preto.
02:50 There are some opportunities to study in the US.
02:53 Some sports.
02:55 There are a lot of things in my head.
02:56 I just need to organize to see
02:58 which are the right periods to do each one.
