More than 5,300 bodies have been recorded as being discovered in Derna City, Libya.

They are the victims of Storm Daniel, which caused a dam in the region to break.

Video footage shows volunteers from the Libyan Red Crescent organization carrying bodies from behind the rubble of buildings, through thickets, and across rivers.

Local officials have stated, that the death toll is expected to continue rising, possibly doubling.

According to data released by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Libya, flash floods forced around 30,000 people to flee from Derna City.
