00:00:00 There was something that kind of went viral
00:00:01 that popular Love Island couple, unnamed,
00:00:03 had known each other before the villa
00:00:05 and they went in with the guise of winning the show.
00:00:09 And a lot of people jumped to you guys.
00:00:12 Any thoughts on that?
00:00:14 - What's up everyone?
00:00:17 It's Chicks in the Office with Rhianne Fran,
00:00:19 giving you that Friday energy on a Friday.
00:00:22 Hopefully everyone is having a great week.
00:00:25 - It is Friday.
00:00:26 - It is Friday.
00:00:28 - End of the week, big weekend, holiday weekend.
00:00:30 - It is.
00:00:31 - End of the summer.
00:00:32 - It honestly does have that end of the summer vibe.
00:00:36 Well yeah, Labor Day. - Labor Day weekend, you know.
00:00:37 It isn't technically the end of summer.
00:00:39 - No.
00:00:40 - But it always feels like it is.
00:00:43 - Once September hits. - Closing time.
00:00:45 - Yeah.
00:00:46 I did something like summer-esque last night
00:00:48 because I felt like summer was coming to an end
00:00:51 whenever September hits.
00:00:52 I was like, why don't we just take a drive.
00:00:55 - First day of fall is September 23rd.
00:00:57 - Yeah.
00:00:59 I was like, why don't we just take a drive
00:01:01 to the Jersey Shore, it's only an hour away.
00:01:03 Go to a really good seafood place, walk around,
00:01:06 really take in the last bits of summer.
00:01:08 - And beautiful sunset last night.
00:01:09 - It was so gorgeous.
00:01:10 - Beautiful, all I saw on my Instagram
00:01:14 was beautiful sunsets, the moon.
00:01:18 Everyone was posting about the super blue,
00:01:20 blue super moon, whatever it was.
00:01:22 - Oh shit, I forgot to look at it.
00:01:23 - Yeah.
00:01:24 - Yeah.
00:01:25 - I was sitting in my apartment.
00:01:26 I couldn't see anything.
00:01:27 I was like, oh, I only saw the pictures,
00:01:29 didn't see anything in real life.
00:01:30 - It was cool.
00:01:31 It was a beautiful night.
00:01:32 - Beautiful, stunning night.
00:01:34 And you went to Red Lobster.
00:01:35 - No, I didn't go to Red Lobster.
00:01:37 (laughing)
00:01:38 I went to--
00:01:39 - Oh, you mean your beautiful romantic day
00:01:40 at the Red Lobster at the Jersey Shore?
00:01:43 - I went to this place called Red's Lobster Pot.
00:01:46 - Yeah.
00:01:47 - In Point Pleasant.
00:01:48 And I put it on my story and I wrote like,
00:01:51 worth the drive.
00:01:53 And people responded being like,
00:01:54 worth the drive to Red Lobster.
00:01:55 I was like, no, no, no, Red's Lobster Pot.
00:01:58 So I could see the confusion.
00:02:00 And then I put a video of the food.
00:02:02 - Yeah.
00:02:03 - And everyone was like, wow, that really,
00:02:03 Red Lobster really went up, upscale.
00:02:06 - So it's a different kind of Red Lobster.
00:02:09 - No, it's so good though.
00:02:11 Highly recommend, I guess.
00:02:13 - That's a beautiful evening.
00:02:14 - It was really, really nice.
00:02:15 Got some ice cream after.
00:02:16 - Oh, so nice.
00:02:17 - It was a nice little summer, summer night.
00:02:19 - Yeah.
00:02:20 - Well, end of summer night.
00:02:21 - Summer night.
00:02:24 - Grease?
00:02:25 - Grease.
00:02:26 Can't quite get that.
00:02:27 Nights, you know when they do that?
00:02:28 - Yeah, I think you could, given the light on it.
00:02:31 - I wasn't really trying that hard, you know.
00:02:32 I didn't wanna really scare people.
00:02:34 - No, no, beautiful voice.
00:02:35 - I'm an angel, I'm not gonna do it.
00:02:38 But yeah, you know, Labor Day weekend is always bittersweet
00:02:42 because it's a beautiful weekend.
00:02:44 You always hope you have nice weather.
00:02:46 But that Monday when you're sitting on the beach
00:02:48 until like six, seven o'clock,
00:02:50 just really like, do not take me off this beach.
00:02:55 We used to always do Labor Day weekend
00:02:58 at my aunt's in Avalon.
00:03:01 And it would be my whole dad's side of the family,
00:03:03 all the cousins, everybody would all squeeze
00:03:06 into one house.
00:03:08 It was always very fun.
00:03:09 But as we all got older, you know,
00:03:11 we all started having other things to do and other plans
00:03:15 and we all don't do it anymore.
00:03:17 And every year my aunt sends like old pictures of all of us.
00:03:20 She sent them this morning.
00:03:21 It was very, it was cute.
00:03:22 But I'm like, damn, we're all grown up.
00:03:25 Everybody's got their own things going on,
00:03:27 but the pictures were very nice.
00:03:28 And it was a great place.
00:03:30 Drive to Ocean City, go to the boardwalk,
00:03:35 play some arcade games, the whole shebang.
00:03:38 - There's two Ocean Cities.
00:03:40 - Yeah, Ocean City, New Jersey.
00:03:41 - 'Cause I used to go to Ocean City, Maryland as a kid.
00:03:44 That's where I got hermit crabs.
00:03:46 - Yes.
00:03:46 - My purple hermit crab named Princess.
00:03:48 - I think you could get a hermit crab
00:03:49 in either Ocean City.
00:03:50 - Hermit crabs were--
00:03:52 - Hermit crabs are a staple of any Jersey Shore
00:03:55 or shore boardwalk.
00:03:58 - Hermit crabs were all the rage back in the day.
00:04:01 - Oh yeah.
00:04:02 - Oh yeah.
00:04:03 - I dropped mine, RIP Princess.
00:04:06 Purple shell.
00:04:07 - We had hermit crabs for a while growing up.
00:04:11 I had a cousin that had a hermit crab
00:04:12 that honestly lived for an astonishing amount of time.
00:04:16 Like you know when they would get bigger,
00:04:17 you'd have to get them new shells
00:04:18 and they would leave the old shell
00:04:19 and move into the--
00:04:20 - And they'd crawl into the--
00:04:21 - Have you ever seen that process?
00:04:23 We would watch and watch them move into the new shell.
00:04:26 You see their bodies and you'd be like, "Ew."
00:04:28 - Right.
00:04:29 - It's a creepy process.
00:04:30 - But beautiful, it's life.
00:04:31 - Yeah, circle of life.
00:04:32 You know, they move onto that new shell.
00:04:34 - Right.
00:04:35 Tough life for hermit crabs though, man.
00:04:36 They're locked into those--
00:04:39 - Little cages.
00:04:40 - Cages.
00:04:41 - That are actually kind of colorful.
00:04:43 - Yeah, the painted shells, the whole thing.
00:04:46 - You make it real fancy for them.
00:04:48 What's your favorite boardwalk game?
00:04:50 - Wow, interesting.
00:04:52 - The squirt, squirt thing.
00:04:55 - That's not my favorite.
00:04:57 - The water gun.
00:05:00 - No, it just said squirt.
00:05:02 - The squirt.
00:05:03 You know, the squirt, the squirt thing.
00:05:05 - Yeah, the water gun.
00:05:06 - The water gun, that one's not my favorite.
00:05:07 That one's like, they have a preconceived
00:05:10 who's gonna win right off the bat.
00:05:11 - The horse one is good, where the guy's like yelling.
00:05:13 - No, I like the, more of the ball games.
00:05:17 - Yeah, that's cool.
00:05:18 - Like the shoot, shoot basketball.
00:05:21 - Pop a shot.
00:05:22 - Yeah, pop a shot or--
00:05:24 - Remember when I embarrassed myself?
00:05:25 - When you have to like throw it and hit the thing.
00:05:28 - I always would try and do the rings on the bottles.
00:05:33 - Yeah, that's a fun one.
00:05:34 - Yeah, anything that you really have to be active for.
00:05:37 Just this shooting one doesn't really get me going.
00:05:41 I have a fun weekend planned that I've been so excited about
00:05:44 and I haven't been able to talk about it.
00:05:45 - I still don't think you can.
00:05:46 - No, I think I can.
00:05:48 I think I'm safe.
00:05:49 I think I am.
00:05:50 - It comes out in the morning.
00:05:51 When's the, when's the, when's it happening?
00:05:55 - I mean, let's just--
00:05:56 - At night?
00:05:57 - Okay, I--
00:05:58 - You can't say it.
00:05:59 - I don't think that she's gonna listen to the show.
00:06:03 Marty said that he was gonna tell his dad
00:06:07 to make sure that she doesn't listen to the show.
00:06:09 - Okay.
00:06:09 - On the plane.
00:06:10 - Okay.
00:06:11 - 'Cause I don't think she does.
00:06:12 Maybe she's a secret singer.
00:06:13 - Let me tell you something, you never know.
00:06:15 And if I know something, you never know
00:06:17 when somebody in your real life is gonna be like,
00:06:19 hey, listen to the episode.
00:06:20 That's happened to me far too many times.
00:06:22 So like somebody who I thought would never listen
00:06:24 to an episode is like, hey, listen to that one.
00:06:26 I'm like, oh God, why?
00:06:28 - Okay, well, here's a warning.
00:06:30 If you are in my life, do not repeat
00:06:32 what I'm about to say to anybody.
00:06:34 - Guys, you're all about to be in in a massive secret.
00:06:37 - Only for a couple hours.
00:06:38 - For a few, hey, that's a long time to keep secret.
00:06:40 - It is.
00:06:41 - Some people can't keep a secret for a second.
00:06:43 - Right.
00:06:44 Some people can't.
00:06:46 - Not us.
00:06:47 - Not us.
00:06:48 - Okay, I'll say it though.
00:06:50 I do think it's safe.
00:06:51 And if it's not, then I will take,
00:06:54 then it's, you know, it's all your fault.
00:06:55 It's all my fault.
00:06:56 But I wanna talk about how excited I am.
00:06:57 - No, it's you can.
00:06:58 - 'Cause I really am so excited.
00:06:59 So we're going to Nashville, woohoo,
00:07:01 to surprise Marty's mom.
00:07:04 That's why I shouldn't be saying it,
00:07:05 because it's a surprise.
00:07:07 But I do not think she's going to listen to this.
00:07:10 - You just get too dang excited.
00:07:12 - I'm really excited.
00:07:13 Like I think it's gonna be so fun.
00:07:15 And we've known this for like over two months now.
00:07:18 And I almost fucked it up last time we were together.
00:07:22 We were at dinner and we had a couple of glasses of wine
00:07:25 and we were chatting.
00:07:26 And it like came out of my mouth,
00:07:28 where I was like, when we come to Nashville,
00:07:31 and then I was like, when we thought
00:07:32 we were gonna come to Nashville,
00:07:33 we can't anymore, it's my mother's birthday.
00:07:35 - Yeah, yeah, yeah, backtrack, backtrack, backtrack.
00:07:38 - Big backtrack, big backtrack.
00:07:39 But she had this smile on her face
00:07:40 where I was like, she definitely knows.
00:07:42 But then when you mix alcohol,
00:07:45 that's when it gets dangerous.
00:07:46 Because I almost did the same thing
00:07:49 when Claire, my friend, was getting engaged.
00:07:52 Her boyfriend had texted me
00:07:53 and I had known like two weeks prior.
00:07:55 And we spent the whole weekend together,
00:07:57 the Jonas Brothers, doing Jonas Brothers stuff.
00:07:59 And that whole weekend I knew.
00:08:02 And the Friday night we went to our friend's house
00:08:06 and it was total like casual,
00:08:09 but my friend's dad was like,
00:08:10 Franny, have a high noon, have a high,
00:08:11 you know, like it's just like have a drink.
00:08:13 I'm like, I cannot, because this is the setting,
00:08:16 like we spent the whole night
00:08:17 sitting around a little table,
00:08:19 wine, playing games, like that kind of vibe.
00:08:22 And I was like, if I have one too many drinks,
00:08:25 I am going to spoil this proposal.
00:08:28 Like I am going to fuck it up somehow.
00:08:30 I know it, especially when I start to get a little drunk.
00:08:32 I blurt something out.
00:08:34 I did something the other day and I can't share it,
00:08:36 I'll talk to you about it after.
00:08:37 We're just like, once I get a little tipsy,
00:08:41 things just come out of my mouth.
00:08:42 And sometimes Joe's like, why did you just say that?
00:08:45 And I'm like, I honestly, I don't know.
00:08:48 I really regret saying it.
00:08:50 And that would have happened.
00:08:52 So it's hard to keep a secret in that sense.
00:08:55 - You've kept this one for a while.
00:08:56 - I have, it's been over two months.
00:08:58 And it slipped out and I quickly was like,
00:09:00 oh no, like we thought about coming,
00:09:02 it's my brother's birthday,
00:09:03 so we're going somewhere with him,
00:09:04 which is true, it is my brother's birthday,
00:09:05 but we're not going somewhere with him,
00:09:06 we're going to Nashville.
00:09:07 But she has been like really upset
00:09:09 that nobody's coming to Nashville.
00:09:11 And she's just like, you know, it's gonna be fun,
00:09:13 'cause it's their first time going
00:09:14 and we know that they're gonna love it,
00:09:16 but it's their first time going.
00:09:17 And they're like, yeah, it's gonna be fun,
00:09:18 but it would be a lot more fun if you guys could come
00:09:20 or if other people could come,
00:09:21 even if our friends could come.
00:09:22 She thinks nobody was available the entire weekend to go,
00:09:26 but we're all going.
00:09:27 And I'm so excited because the first time
00:09:30 we went to Nashville was for our show,
00:09:32 which was awesome.
00:09:34 And we spent a little time out after.
00:09:37 The second time I didn't get to go out on Broadway,
00:09:39 I was at a wedding.
00:09:41 And so this is like full fun, whole weekend,
00:09:43 Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
00:09:45 gonna really dive into Nashville.
00:09:47 I'm really excited, especially like, you know,
00:09:51 we just have a great time together, the whole family,
00:09:53 so I'm really excited.
00:09:54 But it's gonna suck if--
00:09:56 - The other family members surprising as well?
00:09:58 - Marty's brother and his wife, yes.
00:10:01 And we all have such a good time together,
00:10:02 so I'm so excited.
00:10:03 But like, it's really gonna suck
00:10:04 if this gets ruined because of me.
00:10:07 But I don't think that will be the case.
00:10:12 - Let's hope not.
00:10:13 - I asked permission.
00:10:16 - No, no, no.
00:10:16 - I didn't just start talking about it.
00:10:17 Like I asked permission if I could say this.
00:10:19 - Look, you got permission, so really you could blame him.
00:10:22 - I could.
00:10:23 Well, anyways.
00:10:24 - No, it's gonna be so fun.

00:11:34 - I'll be out on Long Island all weekend,
00:11:36 soaking up the last, soaking up those beach hours.
00:11:40 'Cause you know, honestly, September on the beach
00:11:42 is really also my favorite time to be on the beach.
00:11:45 But wedding season is upon us.
00:11:49 For those that are in and around our age range,
00:11:54 I think you understand.
00:11:57 And hey, like, we're planning weddings, we get it.
00:12:01 Like, we're on the other side of it now.
00:12:02 It's like, I see it both ways, it's tough.
00:12:06 But September, October, it's really the busiest time
00:12:10 for people to get married.
00:12:11 It's the most popular time.
00:12:12 So, right after Labor Day, full steam ahead,
00:12:16 I got a lot of weddings.
00:12:17 - Wedding, wedding, wedding, wedding.
00:12:18 - Wedding, wedding, wedding, wedding, wedding, wedding.
00:12:21 Wedding, wedding.
00:12:22 - I'm excited for-- - Not every single weekend,
00:12:24 but a lot. - Most.
00:12:25 - Friend weddings, 'cause I'm like,
00:12:26 I haven't been to too many weddings
00:12:28 where I have a lot of friends going.
00:12:30 So I'm excited for that. - Friend weddings
00:12:31 are the best.
00:12:32 - Really, I had not been to a wedding
00:12:35 since I was like 13 on until like--
00:12:43 - Recently? - Last year.
00:12:44 - Really? - When I started,
00:12:45 when my friends started getting married.
00:12:47 Like, I had that massive gap where it was like,
00:12:49 family members, but like, you know, I was really little.
00:12:54 And that's like, the family members that were getting
00:12:57 married, 'cause I'm the oldest out of everybody.
00:12:59 So like, now, it'll start happening more
00:13:03 with like, my family members, even though I don't have
00:13:05 like, any cousins or anything that are engaged
00:13:08 or anything like that.
00:13:09 But the friends, when the friends start to get married,
00:13:14 it is very fun.
00:13:16 - Yeah. - Yeah.
00:13:17 You're keeping that hair, huh, for the wedding in October?
00:13:20 - I have a wedding in a couple weeks.
00:13:21 I'm not part of that wedding.
00:13:22 - Oh, oh, oh, well, that's okay.
00:13:24 - But yeah, I am a groomsman in a wedding in October.
00:13:26 I mean, there's nothing I can do.
00:13:27 - Are you gonna keep it 'til then?
00:13:29 - Like, are you asking, am I gonna dye it dark?
00:13:32 - Yeah. - No, no, I'm not gonna do that.
00:13:34 I think by then, it'll be like, pretty much like,
00:13:36 only the top of my hair that'll be like,
00:13:39 I did get it touched up yesterday and like,
00:13:41 kind of re-bleached.
00:13:42 It's kind of like, it's kind of all over the place
00:13:45 right now.
00:13:46 - I love that he's like, it's kind of made him
00:13:48 like a high maintenance hair guy.
00:13:50 Like, he's like-- - He already got it re-bleached.
00:13:52 - Like, went on his own to like, go get it re-bleached.
00:13:54 - No, but I didn't plan on going.
00:13:55 I'm like, friendly with people who cut my hair.
00:13:58 So she was like, I'll do it for free.
00:13:59 Like, let me just touch it up.
00:14:00 And it kind of backfired.
00:14:02 - Yeah.
00:14:02 - But, and I did leave the purple shampoo in my hair
00:14:05 for like, three and a half minutes before I went.
00:14:07 And I don't think the purple shampoo does anything.
00:14:09 I think it's a myth.
00:14:10 - It's definitely not a myth. - It's not a myth.
00:14:12 - Maybe it's too far gone.
00:14:13 That's what the girl who's cutting my hair was saying.
00:14:15 Maybe like-- - You didn't start using it?
00:14:16 - I would start doing it now. - Fast enough?
00:14:17 I mean, I would use it right away now.
00:14:19 - Yeah. - Really?
00:14:20 - Yes. - But wouldn't that take away
00:14:21 like, what you did yesterday,
00:14:22 where she put toner in yesterday?
00:14:23 - No, no, the purple shampoo's only gonna help it.
00:14:25 - It helps.
00:14:26 - Right now though, the color, better?
00:14:28 - Yes, way better. - It is,
00:14:29 but you should use the purple shampoo.
00:14:31 - But you should definitely use the purple shampoo.
00:14:32 - Okay, I'll use it later today.
00:14:34 - Yeah.
00:14:35 All right, good luck.
00:14:37 - Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend,
00:14:39 no matter what you do.
00:14:40 - Yeah, soak up the sun, baby.
00:14:41 - Soak up the sun.
00:14:42 - I think the weather's supposed to be beautiful.
00:14:44 - Running around Nashville.
00:14:45 - Yeah, we will not have an episode on Monday.
00:14:46 We hope everybody also enjoys their Labor Day weekend.
00:14:50 - They don't need to listen to us on Monday, you know?
00:14:52 - No, no.
00:14:53 - We'll be back on Wednesday.
00:14:54 Wednesday's our 600th episode.
00:14:56 - That's so crazy, we've been talking for so long.
00:14:58 - 600 episodes is atrocious. - What's weird is,
00:15:02 I remember how big 300 was for us.
00:15:05 - Yeah. - Like, whoa, 300 episodes,
00:15:06 and now it's 600. - We got balloons.
00:15:08 - Yeah, we got 300 balloons, yeah.
00:15:10 - 300 was like two years ago, I think.
00:15:12 - It was. - Yeah.
00:15:12 - And then like, obviously--
00:15:14 - We do three episodes a week?
00:15:16 That's a lot of episodes.
00:15:17 - Also, like, when we were doing chicks in Hogwarts,
00:15:19 that was four episodes a week.
00:15:20 - We're Chatty Cathy's.
00:15:21 - Oh, man, yeah, we really are.
00:15:24 - 100 episodes since Drew, Drew and I.
00:15:26 (laughing)
00:15:27 - What's up, yeah.
00:15:28 - What's up, Fork? - It's here falls.
00:15:30 I'm not gonna do the math right now in my head,
00:15:32 because God knows I will do it wrong.
00:15:33 - How many minutes?
00:15:34 - No, I'm curious as to how long,
00:15:37 how long will it take us to reach 1,000?
00:15:41 - Oh, I've done the math.
00:15:41 - At this rate, at this rate.
00:15:42 - At this rate, three times a week,
00:15:44 and we take, how many weeks a year off do we take, like?
00:15:46 - Two.
00:15:48 - Depends on if we do the shows, you know, all that.
00:15:51 - So let's just say three weeks off, or two.
00:15:53 - Let's say a grand total of three,
00:15:56 because there's always episodes here or there
00:15:57 that we miss that probably equal up to a week.
00:15:59 - Okay, so then that'd be 49 times three is 147 a year.
00:16:04 - Okay, so we would need 400,
00:16:09 two and a half-ish years.
00:16:12 Am I right on that?
00:16:17 - Yeah, yeah, a little under three.
00:16:22 - 52 weeks a year.
00:16:24 - A little under three years.
00:16:26 - Wow, what a moment that'll be.
00:16:29 Hope we're still kicking.
00:16:31 - We will.
00:16:32 Why wouldn't we be?
00:16:33 - I don't know.
00:16:34 - Dude, it's a long ass time.
00:16:36 - We've been doing it for this long,
00:16:37 I don't think we're gonna stop now.
00:16:38 I picture us talking like when we're 50.
00:16:40 - No, yeah.
00:16:40 I was actually thinking the other day,
00:16:42 because not to get into too much detail personal life-wise,
00:16:46 but Joe and I have been having conversations
00:16:49 about where we wanna live and all these things
00:16:51 and life planning.
00:16:52 I was like, the odds of Rhi and I living down the street
00:16:55 from each other for the rest of our lives are high.
00:16:59 (laughing)
00:17:01 Are super high.
00:17:03 - Yeah, probably.
00:17:04 - I was thinking about it this morning.
00:17:05 I was like, chances of us ending up in the same spot.
00:17:08 - What, you guys both wanna live in Florida?
00:17:10 - No, no.
00:17:11 No, it'll probably be long.
00:17:14 (laughing)
00:17:16 - The Florida thing has left my brain.
00:17:20 - The Florida thing--
00:17:21 - That's a later life dream.
00:17:24 - Totally.
00:17:25 I don't know.
00:17:25 You have to have those conversations too
00:17:28 about where you wanna have kids.
00:17:31 Florida is a super fun idea of, ooh,
00:17:34 like few years still,
00:17:38 what's the acronym they use on dinks?
00:17:41 Double income, no kids.
00:17:43 - Oh.
00:17:44 - Like that's like, you know, dink life, Florida.
00:17:47 Double income, no kids.
00:17:47 - I've never heard that.
00:17:48 - Yeah.
00:17:49 - But yeah, that makes sense.
00:17:50 And then it's like, okay, friends, family,
00:17:52 my sister's having a baby.
00:17:54 Like, you know, there's so many people in Long Island.
00:17:57 - Yeah.
00:17:58 - It would be sad to leave it.
00:17:59 - Yeah, yeah.
00:18:00 And that's why I don't have any,
00:18:03 I've been having these conversations
00:18:06 'cause I don't really have any like,
00:18:08 I've been having these conversations
00:18:08 'cause I don't really have any like,
00:18:10 pull to a certain spot.
00:18:13 I know that I wanna be in like the tri-state area,
00:18:17 but you know, my parents aren't here.
00:18:19 Like they don't live in this area anymore.
00:18:21 So it's like, I think a lot of,
00:18:23 especially if you're blessed enough to have the opportunity,
00:18:27 like people are like, ooh,
00:18:28 I would love to like be near my mom.
00:18:29 And like when I have kids, like when my mom's around,
00:18:31 like that's nice.
00:18:33 Of course, you know,
00:18:34 of course that doesn't happen for everybody
00:18:36 and everybody has their own path.
00:18:37 But like, I am like, I'll kind of go wherever.
00:18:42 I don't have like a,
00:18:44 I'm not super passionate about any place.
00:18:46 - Yeah.
00:18:47 - So it's just been interesting.
00:18:49 - Maybe we'll be neighbors.
00:18:50 - That's what I'm saying.
00:18:50 I was like, it's gonna be a long time.
00:18:54 - Listen, we can continue this forever.
00:18:55 - Forever, I know.
00:18:56 - There's always something new to talk about.
00:18:58 - That is true.
00:18:59 - Even on the slow weeks.
00:18:59 - Yep.
00:19:00 - So let's get into it.
00:19:01 Let's get into the topics.
00:19:02 Big topic.
00:19:03 Oh my gosh.
00:19:04 - Major.
00:19:05 - Ready to dive into this one.
00:19:06 - Major.
00:19:07 - We're dying for details.
00:19:08 - Carl and Lindsay.
00:19:09 Summer house, done.
00:19:11 Over, ended their engagement.
00:19:13 No wedding.
00:19:14 Crazy.
00:19:15 That's a big one to me.
00:19:16 We gotta dive into that.
00:19:18 Taylor Swift announced that her Eras movie tour
00:19:21 will be in theaters.
00:19:23 - Her Eras tour will be a movie.
00:19:24 - Yeah, her Eras tour.
00:19:26 Her Eras tour will become a movie in theaters
00:19:29 on October 13th.
00:19:30 Very excited for that.
00:19:32 We're wondering what's going on with Kyle Richards
00:19:34 and Mauricio.
00:19:35 Are they together?
00:19:36 Are they not together?
00:19:36 We're gonna hear a lot of up and down with that.
00:19:38 And Matt James' mom has been announced
00:19:40 that she will be on The Golden Bachelor.
00:19:42 - I'm hyped about this cast.
00:19:43 - We have a weekly watch report.
00:19:44 And we have a great interview with Hannah and Marco
00:19:49 from Love Island USA, the winners.
00:19:51 - Spoiler alert.
00:19:52 - No, it's all right.
00:19:53 It's, hey, at this point, it's all over the place.
00:19:56 - Yeah.
00:19:57 And I never got to finish.
00:19:58 - Yeah.
00:19:59 - Because we found out the winners.
00:20:00 - Yeah, exactly.
00:20:01 - And we're gonna wait to talk about it.
00:20:02 So let's get into it, starting off the topics.
00:20:05 You guys all know Rhi and I are in the midst
00:20:07 of planning weddings.
00:20:08 We're busy bees.
00:20:09 There's a lot to do.
00:20:10 And you get that feeling, you get engaged.
00:20:12 You're so excited.
00:20:14 You live in that moment.
00:20:15 And then you remember, oh, you have to plan a wedding.
00:20:18 It's a lot to do.
00:20:19 It's hectic.
00:20:20 It can be stressful.
00:20:21 But you can make it so much easier
00:20:24 when you put it all on Zola, work with Zola.
00:20:28 Zola is here for all of those moments.
00:20:30 If you've been to a wedding recently,
00:20:32 you definitely know Zola.
00:20:33 Or maybe you even got one of their beautiful invites
00:20:35 on your fridge right now.
00:20:37 I know I've got a few right now.
00:20:39 Or you bought a gift off someone's registry
00:20:41 and thought, oh, maybe I'll get that for myself as well.
00:20:44 When you're planning a wedding,
00:20:45 you suddenly realize what else Zola has.
00:20:48 It's where you'll find your venue
00:20:49 and all your wedding vendors.
00:20:50 It's where you'll create your free wedding website
00:20:52 so guests can RSVP and buy you those amazing gifts.
00:20:56 But there's so much more.
00:20:58 They also have a budget tracker,
00:21:00 a tool to grab all your guests' addresses,
00:21:02 checklists to keep you focused.
00:21:04 And you can also turn to Team Z,
00:21:06 Zola's free expert advisors to answer any questions
00:21:08 you may have along the way or the Zola community
00:21:11 full of other engaged couples
00:21:13 who know what you're going through.
00:21:15 So start planning at Zola.com.
00:21:18 That's Z-O-L-A.com.
00:21:21 - All right, big, big news.
00:21:25 Carl and Lindsay have ended their engagement.
00:21:29 Lindsay just had her bridal shower two weeks ago.
00:21:33 They were going to get married in Mexico.
00:21:35 - Carly still came and surprised her.
00:21:36 - Yeah, she did write that in her caption.
00:21:39 They were getting married in Mexico,
00:21:41 in a venue in Mexico, very soon, in the fall.
00:21:44 And it has been called off.
00:21:46 Now, this is so crazy for a ton of reasons.
00:21:51 I mean, I think, including themselves,
00:21:54 they wanted it to work out for the sheer fact
00:21:56 that so many people hated on them,
00:21:57 including the people they were surrounded by.
00:21:59 And they just couldn't make it work.
00:22:02 And I am dying to know the details.
00:22:04 I'm really dying to know the details around this.
00:22:06 But apparently it was all filmed.
00:22:08 - Yeah, so Entertainment Tonight
00:22:09 was the first one to report this.
00:22:11 They said, "Carl and Lindsay have called off
00:22:15 "their engagement.
00:22:16 "The two were set to get married in November,
00:22:18 "but Carl told Lindsay he couldn't move forward
00:22:20 "with the wedding.
00:22:21 "The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out
00:22:24 "on the next season of 'Summer House.'"
00:22:27 So that's fucking wild.
00:22:30 - Crazy.
00:22:30 - I just like, I have so many questions.
00:22:34 I will say that I did see this rumbling
00:22:38 start Wednesday night.
00:22:39 I came across the TikTok of a woman who was like,
00:22:43 "I'm hearing things about Carl and Lindsay,
00:22:45 "that there was maybe something that,
00:22:49 "the engagement might be over.
00:22:51 "Don't have too many details yet."
00:22:53 And honestly, before we even really had a chance
00:22:57 to dig into it a little bit more,
00:22:59 this article came out, the news broke online.
00:23:05 So now everybody's talking about it.
00:23:07 The Bravo Instagram accounts, everybody started posting,
00:23:10 they're saying, "Our sources, reliable sources."
00:23:12 People are saying, "This is the thing with Bravo
00:23:14 "that I do love, is that when shit hits the fan like this,
00:23:19 "the other Bravo people love talking about it."
00:23:23 So it's like, Bravo Cocktails, all those accounts,
00:23:26 that's the Bravo, they have people that they reach out to
00:23:29 and people start talking and things happen.
00:23:31 But as of right now, it seems like this is all we know.
00:23:34 And it's just, I can't decide what I'm more shocked about
00:23:40 or if I'm just not shocked at all.
00:23:43 But everything about their relationship has played off
00:23:46 on camera, right?
00:23:50 All these big moments, they've all been filmed,
00:23:52 they've all been a part of the show.
00:23:54 We saw in the reunion, the other girls saying
00:23:57 everything they do is planned and contrived and everything.
00:24:01 So at first, shock, and then my radar is up of,
00:24:05 ooh, would they go this far?
00:24:08 I don't think they would. - I don't think so.
00:24:09 - I think that would be pretty crazy.
00:24:11 I think that would be pretty crazy.
00:24:13 But for Carl to do it on camera
00:24:17 feels way more hurtful than having it happen on camera.
00:24:23 Having it happen privately.
00:24:24 - I totally agree.
00:24:26 And no matter what you feel about Lindsay,
00:24:29 it just feels crazy to me that people
00:24:32 who were about to get married,
00:24:34 the way that she would find out
00:24:35 that they are no longer getting married is on camera.
00:24:38 I would think that's a private conversation
00:24:40 that then gets brought to camera,
00:24:42 but the initial conversation being on camera
00:24:44 is so crazy to me.
00:24:46 I do not think they would go that far
00:24:48 to gain money and whatever.
00:24:51 I think the public humiliation is just not worth that.
00:24:54 - Do it for the plot.
00:24:55 - I am so intrigued because I have seen
00:24:59 that Lindsay has been hanging with those girls a lot more,
00:25:02 like making TikToks with them at the house.
00:25:05 And from the outside looking in,
00:25:07 it seemed like things were okay.
00:25:09 And I just, we're gonna need to know more details,
00:25:13 but the crazy thing is, is we're not gonna know
00:25:15 until Summer House premieres,
00:25:18 and that won't be till the winter.
00:25:20 It's gonna be a long time before we get Summer House.
00:25:22 Now BravoCon is coming up in the fall.
00:25:25 - True.
00:25:26 - And I think that things will come from that.
00:25:29 They're gonna be talking.
00:25:30 People are gonna know that they split up.
00:25:32 I just wanna know, I just wanna know details.
00:25:36 I'm feeling really-- - Right, it's like,
00:25:37 where did this come from?
00:25:38 - I'm feeling so nosy about this one.
00:25:39 - I know. - Feeling super nosy
00:25:41 about this one.
00:25:41 - Where did it come from?
00:25:43 How did this conversation start?
00:25:46 If it was on camera,
00:25:47 like, did Lindsay have any idea?
00:25:52 Were they having issues?
00:25:55 What was going on?
00:25:57 - The bridal shower being two weeks ago?
00:25:59 - Yeah, I know.
00:26:00 - Because if you get in a big fight, right,
00:26:01 in the next two weeks,
00:26:03 you would think you try to work it out
00:26:05 before you get married.
00:26:06 This, something had to have been happening for a while
00:26:09 if you call off a wedding.
00:26:10 - Totally, I also kind of thought that
00:26:13 even if they were having issues,
00:26:16 that they would get married
00:26:19 and then figure it out.
00:26:21 Just because, like,
00:26:22 for the moment.
00:26:26 And I know that sounds like really,
00:26:28 what's the word I'm looking for?
00:26:34 - Dark? - Starts with an S.
00:26:37 - Cynical? - No.
00:26:40 - That starts with a C.
00:26:41 - Yep, it does.
00:26:43 - I can't really think of the word that I want to use here,
00:26:48 to be quite honest.
00:26:50 - Feels really
00:26:51 sinister? - Shallow.
00:26:54 Shallow, shallow is the word I was looking for.
00:26:57 That like, if they--
00:26:58 - Good word. - If we made it,
00:27:00 that they would go about it this way.
00:27:08 But I don't know, ever since like,
00:27:11 ever since the reunion and really like,
00:27:13 more of the discussion of like,
00:27:15 how planned their stuff,
00:27:20 things like that has just made me
00:27:22 look at them a little bit differently,
00:27:23 like as a couple.
00:27:24 And not that I didn't think that they were a couple,
00:27:27 I just think that in the realm of almost a
00:27:31 Tom and Ariana,
00:27:34 like, they're creating a brand for themselves,
00:27:38 like together kind of thing.
00:27:41 So it's like, oh, Carl and Lindsay, yes,
00:27:42 they are getting married, yes, they are a couple,
00:27:44 yes, they are together, they're doing all these things,
00:27:46 but they also see themselves as like a business.
00:27:50 And that they would like, get married
00:27:52 and try and figure everything out.
00:27:56 And this is just my own personal opinion
00:27:59 of how I've watched them and how like,
00:28:03 my opinion of how I think their relationship is.
00:28:05 Could be totally wrong, but it's not, you know,
00:28:09 it's not crazy now looking back and thinking like,
00:28:12 how people were like, ooh, I don't,
00:28:14 is this all happening really fast?
00:28:15 Like, what's going on?
00:28:16 I don't know, I just feel like Carl
00:28:18 may have jumped into this all
00:28:21 and now it's all hitting him like that,
00:28:23 maybe he's gotta slow it down a little bit.
00:28:25 - Yeah, maybe.
00:28:26 - Because weirdly enough, most times when a couple,
00:28:31 you would think when a couple calls off an engagement,
00:28:34 in my mind, I don't, I'd be like,
00:28:37 oh, there's no coming back from that, you know?
00:28:40 With them, I could kind of see like down the line,
00:28:45 them being together.
00:28:50 - I don't know, if he ended things on camera
00:28:53 for the first time when they were gonna get married.
00:28:55 - No, yeah, it's true.
00:28:56 - Maybe they're just not it for each other.
00:28:59 Maybe that's just not it.
00:29:01 - I do feel bad for Lindsay.
00:29:02 Like if this really did go down like that
00:29:04 and if she didn't know and this all happened
00:29:08 just like on camera, that fucking sucks.
00:29:10 - That sucks.
00:29:12 Like, oh my God, that's such a private moment.
00:29:16 It's like if that was the first time,
00:29:18 you know, I would assume that maybe
00:29:19 there was conversations leading up to that
00:29:21 because I don't know if that just happens
00:29:22 for the first time like that.
00:29:24 But man, I mean, we're gonna have to know more details
00:29:27 but I think we will get them with BravoCon coming up.
00:29:31 Summer House won't air for a while
00:29:32 but you know that cast.
00:29:34 - And there will be more stories coming out for sure.
00:29:38 Other people will start talking
00:29:40 and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised
00:29:42 if Lindsay says something herself, you know?
00:29:45 So.
00:29:45 - One of them's gonna have to.
00:29:47 - Yeah, crazy.
00:29:48 - While we're on the topic of Bravo couples,
00:29:50 Kyle Richards and Mauricio,
00:29:52 it's another are they together, are they not together?
00:29:58 I think that they are trying to be together still
00:30:02 but there's gotta be something underlying there.
00:30:06 - I know, I'm just so confused
00:30:08 because everybody reported that they were divorcing, right?
00:30:12 And then,
00:30:15 and then Kyle and Mauricio put out a statement
00:30:21 that they're not divorcing, right?
00:30:25 Like that's basically what they said
00:30:27 but every news outlet still talks about them
00:30:32 like they're split up.
00:30:34 So I'm like, so are they split up
00:30:35 and they're just spending all this family time together?
00:30:37 They're going on trips, like this whole thing.
00:30:40 So TMZ posted an article that says,
00:30:42 "Kyle Richards, I'm having a tough time
00:30:44 "over splitting with my husband."
00:30:46 Kyle Richards is opening up about her separation
00:30:49 from longtime hubby Mauricio,
00:30:50 admitting it's been quote, "very hard"
00:30:52 during her Q&A on an Amazon Live Wednesday.
00:30:55 Kyle went on to explain she and Mauricio
00:30:57 are still in love and continue to co-parent their four kids.
00:31:00 She said, "Obviously we care about each other a lot.
00:31:02 "You saw here we are on vacation together,
00:31:04 "they were just in Europe."
00:31:06 And TMZ wrote, "As we reported,
00:31:08 "Kyle and Mauricio separated last month
00:31:10 "after 27 years of marriage,
00:31:11 "despite admitting they'd been going through
00:31:13 "a rough year together, they both denied the rumors
00:31:15 "that they were getting a divorce.
00:31:17 "We've also seen them hang out
00:31:18 "with the rest of the family during their vacay."
00:31:21 So it's like--
00:31:22 - I think they're trying to make it work.
00:31:24 I think that--
00:31:25 - So that's what I'm saying.
00:31:26 Is it like, but the way that all these news articles,
00:31:29 like we reported that they are split up.
00:31:31 It's like, are they split up?
00:31:33 - Well, I think they were saying that they reported
00:31:35 they split up, but they denied it.
00:31:36 I think that when it comes to Beverly Hills housewives,
00:31:39 they are the kind of housewives
00:31:41 that need everything to look perfect.
00:31:43 So say Kyle and Mauricio were struggling,
00:31:47 they don't want anyone to know that.
00:31:49 They wanna look like, oh no, we're completely fine,
00:31:51 happy family, we're good.
00:31:53 That's just so Beverly Hills,
00:31:54 for them to not want people to think
00:31:56 that they're having any problems.
00:31:57 They could very well be having issues
00:31:59 and they're still together.
00:32:00 That's what I think this is.
00:32:02 I think that there's been talks of,
00:32:04 are we gonna stay together?
00:32:05 Are we not gonna stay together?
00:32:06 I think that's probably what it is.
00:32:08 But we know what Beverly Hills,
00:32:09 they just wanna seem perfect on the outside
00:32:11 and they're gonna shut that down.
00:32:12 Meanwhile, the truth is they probably are
00:32:15 maybe struggling a little bit.
00:32:16 They are probably maybe having a little bit of problems.
00:32:19 But I don't think they're fully divorced
00:32:21 or getting a divorce.
00:32:22 I think we would know that for sure.
00:32:24 - I just like to have a conversation with Kyle.
00:32:28 - About what?
00:32:30 - Just like, what are you doing?
00:32:32 What's the Morgan Wade stuff?
00:32:37 Even if you guys are friends,
00:32:39 you can be the best of friends.
00:32:40 She did that, she did her music video.
00:32:43 They were love interests, the music video.
00:32:46 Clearly you're feeding into what everybody is talking about.
00:32:49 - Now you're playing into this gossip.
00:32:51 - You're like, ooh, leaning into it.
00:32:54 It's like, but you're also trying to,
00:32:56 are you trying to work on your relationship with Mauricio?
00:33:01 Are you just trying to work on being co-parents
00:33:04 and you are separated?
00:33:06 I'm just confused.
00:33:08 I don't really know what direction she's headed in.
00:33:12 - She's probably more confused than you are.
00:33:16 - Yeah, my guess.
00:33:17 - Moving on, this is just exciting news.
00:33:20 I'm excited about this
00:33:21 because I didn't get to go to the concert.
00:33:23 But Taylor Swift, her heiress tour
00:33:25 will be in movie theaters.
00:33:26 The movie is over two hours, it's almost three hours.
00:33:30 It's gonna be in theaters October 13th.
00:33:33 I'm very excited for this.
00:33:34 As somebody who didn't get to go to the show,
00:33:36 I will be attending the movie in the theater.
00:33:40 - Do you think you'll be able to get tickets?
00:33:41 - That's what I'm nervous about.
00:33:43 I'm nervous I won't even be able to get tickets
00:33:44 for the movie.
00:33:45 - So now I'm confused because I was seeing people report
00:33:48 that this is happening.
00:33:49 This is like a one day only thing.
00:33:54 That can't be possible.
00:33:57 - Could be. - I hope not.
00:33:58 - Then there's definitely no way you're getting tickets.
00:34:01 - Well, Gia tweeted that there's already a queue
00:34:04 on the AMC website to buy tickets.
00:34:06 - Oh my gosh, I'm never gonna be able to see it.
00:34:09 - Just put it online.
00:34:11 - I'm never gonna be able to see it.
00:34:13 Stream it.
00:34:14 I wanna watch.
00:34:15 I'm so interested in the making of this whole tour.
00:34:17 - Taylor loves the chaos.
00:34:19 Okay, there's no way.
00:34:20 It says starting October 13th,
00:34:22 you'll be able to experience the concert film
00:34:23 in theaters in North America.
00:34:25 So it's gotta be longer than that.
00:34:29 - You think it's just gonna be like,
00:34:30 it's a mashup of all of her shows?
00:34:33 - What do you mean?
00:34:34 - Like is she taking from all of the shows on the tour?
00:34:37 Like is it just one show?
00:34:39 - Oh, I don't know.
00:34:42 I mean, I'm sure she was filming a lot of it.
00:34:44 - Is it like a documentary? - Only in theaters
00:34:45 in North America beginning in October 13th.
00:34:47 Let's see, if I click on AMC Theater to get tickets,
00:34:50 yeah, it puts me into a queue.
00:34:56 All these theaters close to say,
00:34:59 almost full, almost full, almost full, almost full.
00:35:03 Already.
00:35:04 It's crazy.
00:35:05 Oh man.
00:35:08 Let's see, my local theater, 7.30 p.m.
00:35:11 Oh, there's not a single seat available.
00:35:16 Good luck.
00:35:18 I don't know.
00:35:19 - I may have to watch it when it gets to--
00:35:20 - Yeah, yeah.
00:35:22 It'll make its rounds eventually.
00:35:24 Yeah, right.
00:35:25 Get somebody to rip it for you.
00:35:28 This might be the only way.
00:35:29 I mean, genius idea, obviously.
00:35:31 It's another way for her to continue to support the economy
00:35:35 'cause she's just done nothing
00:35:37 but get people spending money.
00:35:39 And everybody who even went to the show
00:35:43 probably would love to go see it again in the movie theater.
00:35:45 I would love to go see it again.
00:35:46 What a party.
00:35:47 I feel like, how do you even do that in a movie theater?
00:35:50 I feel like everybody's gonna be up dancing.
00:35:52 You're gonna sit and lounge in your seat.
00:35:53 - It's been done before with people.
00:35:55 - It absolutely has
00:35:56 but I just feel like this will be different.
00:35:58 You're gonna get 75 Swifties in a movie theater
00:36:02 and they're all just gonna sit reclined watching.
00:36:05 No way.
00:36:06 Although I can't tell if I'd be really annoyed
00:36:08 or be into it.
00:36:09 You just have to buy into what everybody's doing.
00:36:11 If everybody's up dancing and singing,
00:36:13 you just gotta get into it.
00:36:15 You can't be the one being like, shut up.
00:36:16 Right, like, oh, I'm trying to watch the movie.
00:36:18 The music's good.
00:36:19 - Yeah, exactly.
00:36:20 - I'm definitely interested in that.
00:36:21 I think it's a great idea.
00:36:22 And of course it's gonna sell out like our concerts.
00:36:25 Last topic before we get into the weekly watch report.
00:36:29 The Golden Bachelor cast has been revealed.
00:36:31 I'm loving it.
00:36:32 I'm super excited for this season.
00:36:33 And Matt James' mom will be a contestant.
00:36:36 - I'm so excited for her.
00:36:37 Such a great idea.
00:36:40 Obviously, the process was a bumpy road for Matt
00:36:43 but it did end up working out in the end.
00:36:45 So I hope it works for her.
00:36:48 The whole cast was announced.
00:36:50 A bunch of beautiful ladies.
00:36:51 Just like, oh, classic, stunning ladies.
00:36:56 - I am eating this up.
00:36:57 - Absolutely eating it up.
00:36:58 - I am eating up the contestants on this show.
00:37:01 - The videos of them, it cuts to all of them.
00:37:03 They're being like, what do you love to do?
00:37:05 Pickleball, pickleball, pickleball.
00:37:06 Everybody's talking about pickleball.
00:37:08 - Right, it's amazing.
00:37:09 I mean, I feel like this is gonna be so good.
00:37:11 It's interesting.
00:37:12 I've never seen it before.
00:37:14 I'm very excited.
00:37:14 - Justice for Emily Moynes.
00:37:16 - Major justice for Emily Moynes.
00:37:17 Emily, we wish you were part of this cast.
00:37:20 I don't know how serious she was about going on
00:37:23 but she was jokingly posting on her story
00:37:25 that she was told she was too young to go on,
00:37:27 which absolutely sucks.
00:37:28 I mean, you know.
00:37:29 - It's a great compliment to get.
00:37:30 - Great compliment but--
00:37:32 - There's worse problems out there.
00:37:35 - I wish we got to see her on.
00:37:37 I really do.
00:37:38 - Yeah, she's just got a great personality.
00:37:39 - She's great.
00:37:40 She's a character.
00:37:41 She would've been so good.
00:37:42 But we are gonna watch Matt James' mom.
00:37:43 That will be very exciting.
00:37:44 - Very exciting.
00:37:45 - And the other ladies.
00:37:46 Like the whole cast, I'm excited for 'em.
00:37:48 I'm excited for Gary.
00:37:49 - I know.
00:37:49 - I'm excited for it all.
00:37:50 - You know what's funny is there's a woman on there
00:37:51 that's from Summit, New Jersey.
00:37:53 It's a town over from me.
00:37:54 It's where my cousins live.
00:37:56 And we texted my aunt who's like,
00:38:00 we texted my aunt to be like,
00:38:01 "Hey, any idea who this woman is?"
00:38:04 Like instead of texting,
00:38:06 it's funny now 'cause you would see people close.
00:38:09 You would text, "Oh my God,
00:38:10 "you went to college with this person?"
00:38:11 I'm like, "Who is this?"
00:38:12 (laughing)
00:38:13 I'm texting my aunt being like,
00:38:15 "You seen this lady around town?
00:38:16 "You guys ever play racquetball together?
00:38:18 "Like, any idea?"
00:38:20 - She had any yoga sessions?
00:38:22 - She didn't know right away,
00:38:23 but she said she was gonna do some digging.
00:38:24 - Wow, that's hilarious.
00:38:25 - She's got the ladies on it.
00:38:26 - She's gotta hit Facebook.
00:38:28 - They'll find out so fast.
00:38:29 Nobody will find out info faster than the town ladies.
00:38:33 - A couple of New Jersey Facebook moms.
00:38:36 - Yeah, exactly.
00:38:37 Super exciting though.
00:38:39 - It's gonna be a really good show.
00:38:41 - Yeah, I'm excited to watch.
00:38:41 - Very excited.
00:38:43 Okay, that wraps up the topic.
00:38:44 - Sure does.
00:38:45 - Chicks in the Office is sponsored by BetterHelp.

00:39:47 (upbeat music)
00:39:48 All right, let's get into the weekly watch report
00:39:49 where we talk about the things we watched this week.
00:39:51 Woo-hoo, woo-hoo.
00:39:53 So I watched Sex and the City, movie one and two.
00:39:58 - Oh, so you saw Miley's cameo.
00:40:01 - Yes. - In the second movie.
00:40:03 The first one is just so much better than the second.
00:40:05 - Yeah, the first one's way better.
00:40:07 I will rate the first.
00:40:09 - They made a third one, didn't they?
00:40:11 - Did they?
00:40:13 I only know of the first and second.
00:40:14 - Did they make a third Sex and the City movie?
00:40:17 Check, fact check, fact check.
00:40:20 I think they did.
00:40:22 I remember seeing like a movie poster with a giant three.
00:40:26 Am I totally making that up?
00:40:27 Oh, then I'm making it up.
00:40:30 I'm just picturing the movie poster with the giant two.
00:40:33 - Probably.
00:40:33 - 'Cause that's the Sex and the City two
00:40:35 and the giant two. - I see what you're saying,
00:40:36 I see it in my brain.
00:40:38 So the first-- - Sex and the City two.
00:40:40 - The first one is just classic for me.
00:40:43 But it's still like, Carrie, how do you end up with Big?
00:40:49 Like he left you.
00:40:52 But whatever.
00:40:53 - Well, I mean, that's what people have been tuning into
00:40:56 and just like that.
00:40:57 - Right, it's like it's so bad, but you can't look away.
00:40:59 - It's so bad, but people are so locked
00:41:01 into these people's storylines
00:41:02 that they need to know what happens to them.
00:41:04 - I'm gonna give Sex and the City first movie a B plus.
00:41:09 I'm gonna give the second one,
00:41:13 just to be nice to my gals, a C minus.
00:41:17 But I don't--
00:41:18 - The first movie is that famous scene
00:41:20 where she's like yelling at him in the street.
00:41:23 - Yeah, yeah, throws the whole thing.
00:41:25 And then I watched The Ultimatum.
00:41:28 Four episodes.
00:41:30 - We both did, we both watched the same amount
00:41:31 of episodes as well. - Yes, we did.
00:41:32 And we didn't plan on that.
00:41:33 - No, we didn't, it just happened.
00:41:35 - This season is really good.
00:41:40 - Bonkers.
00:41:42 - It's really good.
00:41:43 - These people are nuts.
00:41:44 - Nuts, it's better than the first one.
00:41:46 - Yeah, I'm more locked in than the first one.
00:41:49 - I'm giving this a B plus.
00:41:50 I don't even know where to begin
00:41:54 'cause I also don't wanna spoil it for people
00:41:55 'cause it just came out.
00:41:57 But I am stunned.
00:41:58 - But the whole season's already out.
00:42:00 Like I think we're actually a little late to the game.
00:42:02 I'm actually excited to get home and watch the rest of it.
00:42:04 - Like I think people might be mad at us
00:42:05 that we haven't finished the whole show yet
00:42:07 because you know you're in for something good
00:42:10 when you post on your story.
00:42:11 Like I post on my story about Lisa in the second episode.
00:42:16 And when I looked into my DMs,
00:42:20 the amount of people that I could see just wrote,
00:42:23 "Just wait," or like, "Oh my God, just wait."
00:42:25 Like so many messages.
00:42:27 I was like, ooh, this is when I know I'm in
00:42:29 for something crazy and that everybody else
00:42:30 has already watched.
00:42:32 I can't get enough of it.
00:42:33 I can't believe, like I didn't wanna go to sleep last night
00:42:35 but I fell asleep watching it.
00:42:37 There is just too much to unpack here.
00:42:40 None of the people picked their original people
00:42:44 from what I've seen so far like to live with
00:42:46 and do a trial marriage.
00:42:48 I'm just, I'm like really just blown away by all of this.
00:42:53 I'm not, I, 'cause I put it on
00:42:57 and at first when I put it on, I was like,
00:42:59 how can you recreate magic?
00:43:01 The first season was good, how can you recreate
00:43:03 this kind of magic?
00:43:04 And sure enough, I mean, the bomb that was dropped
00:43:09 that she was pregnant.
00:43:14 - Yeah, I was gonna throw a spoiler.
00:43:18 - Sorry.
00:43:20 - Totally fine.
00:43:21 I think at this point, like I said though,
00:43:22 like we're gonna talk about it so.
00:43:25 It's totally fine, now we can talk about it.
00:43:29 And honestly, it happens in like the second episode.
00:43:32 - Stunning, absolutely stunning turn of events.
00:43:37 You go on a show.
00:43:39 You go on a show where your partner,
00:43:42 you're not sure they wanna marry you,
00:43:44 which by the way, the premise for the show
00:43:45 is so fucked up in general.
00:43:47 The fact that anybody signs up for this,
00:43:48 you probably shouldn't be together anyway.
00:43:50 But this is life and it's reality TV.
00:43:54 To then go on the show and say you're pregnant.
00:43:59 - Also, and to have the absolute hissy fit
00:44:04 that she had in that parking lot about Brian
00:44:08 talking to Raya, is her name?
00:44:11 - Raya.
00:44:13 - Was so hurtful.
00:44:18 Lisa does not know this woman and just fully judged her
00:44:21 because she's a very pretty young girl
00:44:24 and just ripped her apart.
00:44:26 Like making fun of her job, making fun of her.
00:44:29 Basically saying she's an idiot.
00:44:31 Like oh, you're not challenging yourself talking to her.
00:44:34 Like she's fucking tits and ass.
00:44:35 Like just vile, vile, vile behavior.
00:44:40 Which just makes herself look so bad.
00:44:44 - And then the next episode.
00:44:45 - My antenna is up big time on this one.
00:44:50 - I don't know, we don't know what happens
00:44:52 'cause we've only watched four episodes.
00:44:53 So we'll see, we'll see.
00:44:55 But like convenient timing to go on a show
00:44:59 where you wanna pressure somebody to marry you
00:45:00 and now all of a sudden you're pregnant.
00:45:02 - I didn't wanna be the one to say it
00:45:03 but part of me was like, is she pregnant?
00:45:06 - Now hand up, if she really is pregnant.
00:45:08 - We apologize.
00:45:10 - I apologize, I wish her happiness and healthiness.
00:45:14 You know, especially like bringing a baby
00:45:16 is a very serious thing.
00:45:17 But it would not be the first time
00:45:21 that somebody has used pregnancy to trap somebody.
00:45:25 - Absolutely.
00:45:26 - And the way she was behaving made me think
00:45:29 that that was a move she would pull.
00:45:31 Especially because too fast of like freak out
00:45:36 and then the next episode it was like, I'm pregnant.
00:45:40 And I--
00:45:40 - And it was a very suspect thing that she said too
00:45:42 in her interview afterwards.
00:45:43 Like she was like, ooh, I kinda thought like
00:45:47 this would change his mind.
00:45:49 Like the way she said it just made me think,
00:45:51 mm, I don't know about this one.
00:45:54 - You should have seen my face.
00:45:56 'Cause I was like, you know when you watch a show
00:45:58 and you're like on your phone a little bit,
00:45:59 like there's some shows that you do both at once.
00:46:01 - No, Nicole Shay dropped that bombshell.
00:46:03 - I dropped my phone and was like, what?
00:46:06 Are you serious?
00:46:07 - And I also feel like it really did
00:46:09 send a shock through the rest of them
00:46:13 because it totally fucked up who the other people
00:46:17 were gonna pick.
00:46:18 You know, that just completely eliminated two people
00:46:21 where I felt like,
00:46:23 I felt like Brian and Raya may have been leaning
00:46:30 towards each other and Lisa and Trey may have been leaning.
00:46:37 Like I just felt like that totally spunnin' around
00:46:41 where now you really only have one choice.
00:46:43 Because I felt like the other two,
00:46:46 Roxanne and I'm spacing out all their names,
00:46:49 like they swapped also.
00:46:51 Where it was like that,
00:46:52 I didn't think anybody was gonna jump into that one.
00:46:55 But the other two could have been mixed more.
00:46:57 - Thoughts on the Roxanne swapping situation?
00:47:02 - I'm a little confused by Roxanne.
00:47:03 Like I get it, you're a career woman.
00:47:07 Like I totally respect that
00:47:11 but it's the only thing she's talked about.
00:47:14 - And she said she could talk about business all day
00:47:16 and then I'm blanking on his name.
00:47:18 'Cause I watch all the episodes so fast
00:47:20 that I'm like blanking on the names.
00:47:21 - Robert, Richard, Rob--
00:47:24 - The guy she's now with.
00:47:26 - Oh, his name is Alex.
00:47:30 - Okay, Alex.
00:47:31 - But her original boyfriend is,
00:47:35 no I feel like it was an R name also.
00:47:38 - Well Roxanne and Alex, they go to Alex's parents.
00:47:41 And Roxanne is like,
00:47:42 "Yeah, I could just talk about business all day."
00:47:44 And the parents are like,
00:47:44 "All right, well you can't, that's not a relationship.
00:47:46 "You can't talk about business all day long."
00:47:48 And then the parents were like,
00:47:50 "Kinda, kinda like, all right, maybe you too.
00:47:54 "Maybe you too."
00:47:56 I was stunned because they don't know this person at all.
00:48:01 And for Alex, it seemed like he,
00:48:04 he's in on marriage, he wants to get married,
00:48:06 he sees himself with a partner, but--
00:48:08 - Her reaction to that was weird to me too.
00:48:10 She's like, "You're just showing me so much
00:48:12 "that you can be career driven and also want marriage."
00:48:15 Like it's like, "Wait, what?"
00:48:17 - Yeah, I think she's confused about what she wants.
00:48:21 But Alex--
00:48:22 - At the end of the day, doesn't it just always seem
00:48:24 like they just don't like their partner that much?
00:48:26 - No, that is what it is.
00:48:29 I'm sorry, I hate to break it to you.
00:48:31 - And sometimes it has happened.
00:48:33 After the first season, remember the couple
00:48:34 that they did the dating and then they were like,
00:48:37 "Oh, this is so not for us."
00:48:38 And he proposed at the choice.
00:48:41 It's like, that's I think when you realize,
00:48:44 oh wait, you actually are the one I wanna be with.
00:48:47 Sometimes it just feels like--
00:48:49 - It just feels like it shouldn't--
00:48:50 - They don't like each other that much.
00:48:51 - Yeah, it just feels like it shouldn't take this
00:48:54 to make you open your eyes.
00:48:55 But so be it for these people.
00:48:57 But with Alex-- - Which is why Lisa--
00:48:59 - He's like, oh my God, the way that his ears perk up
00:49:04 when she compliments him in his business.
00:49:06 - I know.
00:49:07 - She was like, "You're a businessman."
00:49:08 He was like, "Yup."
00:49:08 I'm like, all right.
00:49:10 Guys who just need their ego fed,
00:49:12 like, yes, I'm a businessman, I'm an entrepreneur.
00:49:14 We get it, Alex, okay.
00:49:16 And you're so much better than her other guy
00:49:18 who actually seems like a nice guy.
00:49:20 - Yeah, he does.
00:49:21 - And when he was explaining that he was stuck in a rut
00:49:24 and he like--
00:49:25 - I just think it's so unfair too to, I don't know.
00:49:29 Sometimes you're just not compatible.
00:49:30 - Yeah, exactly.
00:49:31 And if that business,
00:49:36 ambition is the word she kept using, ambition.
00:49:39 If that ambition is such a deal breaker for you,
00:49:42 then he's just not the right match for you.
00:49:46 Like, I just think it's very unfair
00:49:48 to continue to critique him.
00:49:50 And I still am spacing on his name
00:49:53 and I don't wanna Google it
00:49:53 'cause I don't wanna see spoilers.
00:49:58 When he was saying when they met,
00:50:00 like he was working at McDonald's,
00:50:01 but he's transitioned into other jobs
00:50:05 and doing other things.
00:50:06 If you're gonna judge him on that for forever,
00:50:12 what are you doing?
00:50:13 If that's such a big deal to you,
00:50:18 at the end of the day, some of these people,
00:50:20 and listen, we're getting a great show out of it,
00:50:22 but some of these people just need to realize
00:50:25 just because you're comfortable
00:50:26 does not mean you need to be with this person.
00:50:27 Like you're just settling at this point.
00:50:29 You clearly are not in love with them.
00:50:31 There's so many things you're not compatible on
00:50:33 on different levels.
00:50:34 - Are you paying too much for your wireless plan?
00:50:38 Straight Talk just introduced
00:50:40 the new Straight Talk multi-line plan
00:50:42 where more lines mean more savings.
00:50:45 Just $25 a line per month when you get four lines
00:50:48 with unlimited data, talk and text,
00:50:51 all on nationwide 5G, plus no contracts,
00:50:55 no hidden fees, and no compromises.
00:50:57 So once again, if you are paying too much
00:51:01 for your wireless plan, check out Straight Talk.
00:51:05 They just introduced the new Straight Talk multi-line plan
00:51:10 where more lines mean more savings.
00:51:12 So like I said, $25 a line per month
00:51:15 when you get four lines with unlimited data,
00:51:18 talk and text, all on nationwide 5G,
00:51:22 plus no contracts, no hidden fees, and no compromises.
00:51:27 That's the Straight Talk talkin'.
00:51:30 From Straight Talk Wireless,
00:51:32 available at Walmart and Walmart.com.
00:51:35 Once again, Straight Talk Wireless,
00:51:38 available at Walmart and Walmart.com.
00:51:41 Raya I feel bad for because I do think she has a lot of,
00:51:47 like I don't think necessarily it's that she doesn't love
00:51:52 Trey and why she's afraid to get married.
00:51:54 I think she has more trauma and like more inner fear
00:51:59 and insecurity about herself.
00:52:01 Like talking about her childhood,
00:52:03 she opened up about getting pregnant.
00:52:05 Like I think that's where, like she had a conversation
00:52:08 that made me so sad where she was like,
00:52:10 well what if I don't want kids?
00:52:11 And it kinda seemed like maybe that stemmed
00:52:14 from the experience that she had.
00:52:16 Like does she wanna put herself through that again?
00:52:18 It felt like there was a lot of more inner issues
00:52:22 of why marriage is so scary to her and less like
00:52:26 it's because of him.
00:52:28 - Yes, which is a totally different story.
00:52:30 - Totally different story.
00:52:31 'Cause sometimes it seems very clear
00:52:32 that it's just like not the right person.
00:52:35 And sometimes it's like, okay, you have more of a
00:52:40 inner issue with the idea of marriage
00:52:44 and that kind of commitment.
00:52:45 Which is where I feel like maybe she was at.
00:52:48 But they got us locked in.
00:52:51 - I'm definitely locked in.
00:52:52 I'm giving that a B plus.
00:52:53 And that's what I watched.
00:52:56 - I'll jump in for my grade on the ultimatum then.
00:52:59 I'll agree, I'll give that a B plus as well.
00:53:02 Episodes one through four for both of us.
00:53:05 I finished Love Island USA.
00:53:07 Obviously we got Hannah and Marco on the episode.
00:53:10 So I felt like that ended totally the way it was supposed to
00:53:16 as well.
00:53:17 - So I started watching it and then we found out
00:53:20 who won and we were gonna be interviewing
00:53:22 and so I never got to fully finish it.
00:53:24 But I was like, I got past Casa Amor.
00:53:27 - Yeah.
00:53:28 I really, I hope it works for a lot of these couples.
00:53:34 There's been, I don't know, we asked Hannah and Marco
00:53:39 about it but there's been rumors too about
00:53:42 people have been on Carmen and Kenzo
00:53:44 because they're actually both from,
00:53:46 they actually both live in Scottsdale.
00:53:50 And they're like, oh, they do like, oh my God,
00:53:52 we live like 10 minutes from each other.
00:53:53 How have we never met?
00:53:54 And people were like, ooh, we think you actually
00:53:56 may have known each other, whatever.
00:53:59 And if that's the case, America felt that way clearly
00:54:05 because they finished it in fourth.
00:54:07 So, I don't know.
00:54:10 So, but I do, I hope that these couples make it work.
00:54:14 They all left boyfriend/girlfriend.
00:54:17 It's kind of like a legit thing where I hope
00:54:20 that they actually really try and make it work.
00:54:24 So, honestly, I thought the whole season was a good season.
00:54:28 I will give the Love Island USA season a B as a whole
00:54:33 or just as my finishing grade.
00:54:38 I watched, what did I watch?
00:54:43 Oh, I watched the last two episodes of,
00:54:46 I was catching up, the last two episodes of Heart Knocks,
00:54:50 which I love and enjoy.
00:54:51 It's been great.
00:54:52 People are really invested in the Jets, obviously,
00:54:54 so it's just been an interesting insight
00:54:56 into what's been going on there.
00:54:58 We're getting to that part of the season
00:54:59 where the people get cut and that always makes me sad
00:55:03 'cause it's just like, God, these guys work so hard.
00:55:05 And it's just sad.
00:55:09 But I've very much been enjoying it.
00:55:11 I'll give that a B as well.
00:55:13 Good stuff.
00:55:15 And I kind of think that's it.
00:55:17 You know what's really on my watch list
00:55:19 that I have not watched is the Adam Sandler movie
00:55:24 with his daughter. - I wanted to watch that too.
00:55:25 - I saw that. - It got really good reviews.
00:55:27 - It got really good reviews.
00:55:28 - I was shocked.
00:55:29 I'm like, this can't be real.
00:55:30 - I've seen everybody talking about it.
00:55:31 I really wanna watch it.
00:55:32 I haven't had the time to watch it yet.
00:55:33 But I'm putting that on my watch list.
00:55:36 - You're not invited to my bot mitzvah.
00:55:38 - You're so invited to my bot mitzvah.
00:55:39 - Yes, as it is on Netflix, yep.
00:55:40 - I really wanna watch it.
00:55:41 I just haven't had, was not having the time to watch it yet.
00:55:45 But that's all I watched this week.
00:55:50 - I pretty much only watched Suits this week.
00:55:54 Are you done, by the way?
00:55:56 - Oh, I watched Suits also.
00:55:56 - I haven't had the time to really dive into Suits.
00:56:00 - I'm more into it. - I mean, I'm obviously
00:56:01 watching it, but.
00:56:02 - I'm more into it.
00:56:03 - I'm not, 'cause we didn't do this last week.
00:56:05 I think I've watched 10 episodes now.
00:56:08 - Who's your fave?
00:56:09 - I'm liking it, for sure.
00:56:11 Probably Harvey.
00:56:13 - I'm a Harvey gal.
00:56:14 - Yeah, I think Harvey's my--
00:56:15 - I'm a Mike guy.
00:56:16 - Yeah.
00:56:17 - I'm such a Harvey gal.
00:56:19 - Yeah, me too.
00:56:20 - Like, look at me, I'm smiling.
00:56:21 - Really?
00:56:22 He kind of sometimes is like, fuck this guy.
00:56:24 - No, I just kinda like that.
00:56:26 I don't know, I like that.
00:56:28 I like his ego.
00:56:29 - There's nothing about me that says, fuck Harvey.
00:56:32 - Yeah, I know.
00:56:32 - Well, what season are you?
00:56:34 Where did you leave off?
00:56:35 - I'm still on three.
00:56:36 - Yeah, 'cause now I'm in four.
00:56:37 A lot's happened, okay?
00:56:39 You're not fully caught up.
00:56:41 - I've only watched up to 10 episodes,
00:56:43 so that's where I'm at.
00:56:44 But I will say I've definitely jumped more into it
00:56:48 than I initial jumped.
00:56:50 But I have liked it.
00:56:52 It is really a good show to put on,
00:56:54 just to chill and watch, and you're invested.
00:56:56 But it's not, you're not like--
00:56:57 - It's nothing groundbreaking.
00:56:59 - Yeah, exactly.
00:57:00 It's not, you don't need to fully be paying attention,
00:57:03 you know, kinda thing too.
00:57:04 - Yeah, so I'm on season four.
00:57:07 I'll give it a B+.
00:57:11 It's very entertaining.
00:57:12 - Solid.
00:57:13 - The fact that I've gotten to season four,
00:57:15 it's like I like it enough to keep watching it.
00:57:18 - Yeah, and there's a lot of seasons.
00:57:19 - Yeah, and it is like I don't feel like I have to be
00:57:22 watching every second of it.
00:57:24 I re-watched Oppenheimer.
00:57:25 I went to the movie theaters with my family
00:57:29 when I was on the Cape and re-watched it.
00:57:31 - You wasted your time like that?
00:57:36 - I mean, it is just like a great movie.
00:57:38 - No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
00:57:39 I haven't even seen it.
00:57:40 - Although, this time around, I was kinda like,
00:57:43 I caught myself being bored,
00:57:44 because I'm like, I've already seen this.
00:57:45 - It's a hard--
00:57:46 - It's long, it's long.
00:57:47 - It's a hard repeater.
00:57:48 - That's tough.
00:57:50 - Oh, you know what I did in the theater?
00:57:51 - It's tough also to go see it again in the theater.
00:57:53 It's another thing to watch it again at home
00:57:55 when you can get up and walk around, or pause it,
00:57:58 or do you know?
00:57:59 It's like, when you actually go sit in the theater
00:58:01 and fully have to watch and can't be sitting on your phone
00:58:05 in the movie theater, that's harder.
00:58:07 - In the movie theater on the Cape that we go to,
00:58:10 they serve alcohol there, and so I was like, I'm bored.
00:58:13 I'm gonna go get a beer in the middle of the movie.
00:58:15 - Oh, you were bored in the middle of the movie?
00:58:17 - I've already seen it.
00:58:19 So I went, got a beer, and then I'm coming back,
00:58:21 and it's dark, we were in the back row, it was dark,
00:58:23 and I forgot that there was--
00:58:25 - Oh no.
00:58:28 - Like a little ledge thing to step up.
00:58:31 - Did you fall?
00:58:32 - I walked right into it and poured beer
00:58:35 all over this person's legs.
00:58:37 - Oh no.
00:58:38 I feel like you're always dropping everything
00:58:41 at the movie theater.
00:58:42 - I just was like, sorry.
00:58:43 - You have some bad movie etiquette.
00:58:45 - Also, I was sitting right next to him.
00:58:46 It was just like, oh my god.
00:58:47 - Oh, awkward.
00:58:48 - Oh, and beer is tough too.
00:58:49 - Did you run and get him some napkins?
00:58:51 - No.
00:58:52 - Oh my god.
00:58:53 - I don't know if he acted, he didn't start
00:58:55 cleaning his legs.
00:58:56 I don't know if he wanted to make it seem like
00:58:59 he just didn't know, but I saw it go all over his legs.
00:59:02 But yeah, I mean, A minus still to Oppenheimer.
00:59:06 Just a great movie.
00:59:09 And then we watched a documentary on HBO
00:59:13 called After the Bite, which is about sharks on Cape Cod,
00:59:18 which we just thought was fitting.
00:59:19 - Timely.
00:59:21 - And from the title and the trailer, you would think
00:59:26 sharks are killing everyone on the Cape.
00:59:28 And you do kind of feel that way.
00:59:30 There's signs every beach.
00:59:32 But apparently there's only been one death
00:59:38 from a shark in the last 80 years on the Cape.
00:59:41 So I'm like, what's the big deal everyone's making?
00:59:44 Yeah, sharks are around, but like--
00:59:44 - You have to be, I think it's just an abundance
00:59:46 of caution, you know?
00:59:47 You gotta have the signs up because there are
00:59:49 a lot of fucking sharks in the Cape.
00:59:51 They'll sneak up on you.
00:59:52 - It happened to one kid a couple years ago.
00:59:54 He died, but it's like, one out of 80 years,
00:59:59 that's pretty good.
01:00:00 - Yeah, no, it's--
01:00:01 - When you put it like that, I'm not as scared.
01:00:03 But there are a lot of sharks.
01:00:05 - Yeah.
01:00:05 - But that's it.
01:00:08 That's all I got.
01:00:08 (laughing)
01:00:09 - All right, that's the PSA about the sharks, the Cape.
01:00:12 Do you have a grade for the documentary?
01:00:14 - I'll give it a C because it was nice to see parts
01:00:21 of the Cape that we were familiar with.
01:00:23 And it's like, oh, they're here, or whatever.
01:00:26 But it is like, what's the point of all this?
01:00:29 It turned into more about the seals than the sharks.
01:00:33 And there's too many seals, or all this stuff.
01:00:35 People were hunting seals.
01:00:36 - Well, that's what you have to look out for.
01:00:38 - Do you know that?
01:00:39 - If you're in the water and you see a ton of seals
01:00:41 hanging out, get out of the water.
01:00:43 - That's why people were saying that a while ago,
01:00:46 you'd see maybe a couple seals in the summer.
01:00:49 Now, every single time you go there, there's a seal.
01:00:52 You're swimming next to them.
01:00:52 - That's what the sharks are eating.
01:00:55 Those are shark bait.
01:00:56 - But I didn't realize, they said in the documentary
01:00:58 that for a while, fishermen were hunting seals,
01:01:03 killing seals, because the seals were eating
01:01:06 all the fish that they were trying to get.
01:01:08 So they were killing the seals.
01:01:10 - I don't really like the sound of that.
01:01:13 - Yeah, but I was like, what is this?
01:01:15 I thought it was me watching shark attacks.
01:01:17 And it was just like, oh, yeah,
01:01:20 there's some sharks out there.
01:01:22 - Oh, Noah, wasn't the documentary you wanted?
01:01:24 - Damn, I really wish more people
01:01:25 were getting bitten by sharks, huh?
01:01:26 - I think there's probably more shark things
01:01:29 that you could look into that will fulfill that.
01:01:32 There's a whole week dedicated to sharks.
01:01:34 - My standards are high after Chimp Empire.
01:01:37 - That's probably it.
01:01:39 You need a reality show about the sharks.
01:01:41 All right, that's everything we watched this week.
01:01:43 All right, let's get into our interview
01:01:47 with Hannah and Marco from Love Island.
01:01:50 But first, we're headed into the holiday weekend.
01:01:53 It is time to chill.
01:01:56 I think the end of summer comes around.
01:01:57 Everybody's relaxing, soaking in those last moments.
01:02:02 They're thinking about maybe when they gotta
01:02:04 go back to school, or maybe you've had some vacation time.
01:02:09 You're fully going back to work.
01:02:11 Maybe you're dreaming about the day
01:02:13 that you'll eventually get to retire
01:02:14 and enjoy all the freedoms that come with it.
01:02:16 But who says we have to wait decades
01:02:18 before we get to kick back and chill out?
01:02:22 Take advantage of that free will
01:02:23 and spend the rest of the summer chilling like a retiree
01:02:26 and pair those moments with Coors Light,
01:02:28 the beer that's made to chill.
01:02:29 Pairs well with that retired state of mind.
01:02:31 The mountains on the bottles and cans
01:02:32 even turn blue when your beer is cold.
01:02:34 So you know when it's time to grab another.
01:02:37 It's perfect for all those plans, or lack thereof.
01:02:40 No judgment here.
01:02:42 You know it's a long weekend.
01:02:43 Maybe you're doing absolutely nothing.
01:02:44 Maybe you got a big weekend planned.
01:02:45 Maybe you're headed to Nashville.
01:02:47 You're headed to the bars.
01:02:48 You can have a nice cold Coors Light at the bar.
01:02:50 Maybe you're headed to the beach.
01:02:51 You're packing a cooler.
01:02:52 Get those Coors Light in there ready to go.
01:02:55 Soak up that sun.
01:02:57 Chill out, relax.
01:02:59 So this summer, chill like you're retired with Coors Light.
01:03:02 Get Coors Light delivered straight to your door
01:03:04 with Drizzly or Instacart
01:03:05 by going to coorslight.com/chicks.
01:03:07 And always celebrate responsibly
01:03:09 from Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado.
01:03:11 All right, everyone, we are here
01:03:14 with two very special guests.
01:03:16 We have the Love Island USA 2023 winners,
01:03:21 Hannah and Marco, here on Zoom.
01:03:25 We're excited to talk to you guys.
01:03:26 How are you doing?
01:03:27 Is it just like absolute love bubble right now?
01:03:30 - Yeah, it really is.
01:03:33 Honestly, we touched down in LA like two days ago,
01:03:36 and it's just been crazy busy.
01:03:38 Went to Disneyland right after,
01:03:40 getting like, that was a lot.
01:03:42 And then the culture shock is real too,
01:03:44 like just being back in society.
01:03:47 It's a lot of emotions, but it's been great.
01:03:48 Like the support coming out has been amazing.
01:03:51 Right now we're spending time with family.
01:03:53 And yeah, it's just been great
01:03:56 to be with him on the outside, for sure.
01:03:57 - Yeah, definitely.
01:03:58 There's always that honeymoon phase you're worried about.
01:04:01 Like I said, we spent six weeks together,
01:04:04 nonstop, 24/7, not being able to like leave
01:04:07 or go anywhere else.
01:04:08 So I thought that honeymoon phase, you know,
01:04:10 would start to dwindle out, and it has,
01:04:12 but like the love has continued, you know,
01:04:14 to grow stronger and stronger
01:04:15 from our little late night Walmart runs.
01:04:18 Going to Disneyland and just showing, you know,
01:04:21 people what it's like for like being enjoyment on their end.
01:04:24 We had a lot of people come up to us
01:04:25 and just say they had so much fun watching us,
01:04:27 and we helped them get through hard times.
01:04:29 We had a lady say that she got a little emotional.
01:04:31 She had a rough week with her family,
01:04:33 had some news about a family member going into the hospital
01:04:36 and said that she would just watch "Love Island"
01:04:37 to get through it, and she started breaking down.
01:04:39 So I thought that was truly special to be part of that.
01:04:42 And just put out a positive message to everybody.
01:04:45 - Yeah, I think that's the best part about "Love Island"
01:04:47 is that you really start to get to know you guys,
01:04:50 and you're tuning in so much and so often.
01:04:53 When you were leaving the villa, what was the top priority?
01:04:57 What was the first thing on your mind?
01:04:58 Like, this is the first thing I'm doing
01:05:00 when I get out of here.
01:05:01 - Call my mom.
01:05:03 (laughing)
01:05:05 It was just crazy to get our phones back.
01:05:07 So yeah, call family,
01:05:08 but then Chipotle was like a priority.
01:05:10 - Oh, we had to kill Chipotle.
01:05:12 - It was so good to like,
01:05:14 (laughing)
01:05:15 - Yes.
01:05:15 - Yeah, so that was a priority.
01:05:17 - Family was definitely the first priority.
01:05:19 It still is our priority.
01:05:20 We gotta make our rounds.
01:05:21 So we're in Palm Springs right now, California.
01:05:23 Then I'm gonna head to Florida
01:05:24 where I'm at with my friends and family.
01:05:26 Then I'm gonna go up to Ohio where I'm from.
01:05:28 But yeah, so first priority getting out of the villa
01:05:30 was definitely to call my parents,
01:05:32 check in on life.
01:05:33 What did we miss?
01:05:34 You know, there's been a lot of news
01:05:35 flashed through the past couple months,
01:05:37 and we had no idea.
01:05:39 She had a hurricane?
01:05:40 - Yeah, we had a hurricane.
01:05:41 - In the desert?
01:05:42 - Yeah.
01:05:43 - I'm like, yeah.
01:05:44 - And an earthquake in the same day in California.
01:05:46 That did happen.
01:05:48 - Oh, hell.
01:05:48 - Yeah.
01:05:49 Like what did we miss in Fiji in the middle of nowhere?
01:05:52 - All right.
01:05:52 I think that you, like as a viewer,
01:05:54 you forget that you guys don't even get news.
01:05:56 Like you don't know what's happening over there.
01:06:00 - Nah, we tried to get stuff too
01:06:01 out of like the talent managers, producers.
01:06:03 Like, so is there any like gossip?
01:06:06 Nah, it was nothing.
01:06:07 - What's happening in the pop culture world?
01:06:10 - Yeah.
01:06:10 - Nothing.
01:06:11 - I know, we had Maura Higgins on our show
01:06:15 a couple of weeks ago,
01:06:16 and she was joking too that contestants were like,
01:06:20 you know, hey, can you tell us anything?
01:06:22 Like anything on the outside world, what's going on?
01:06:25 - We would love, yeah,
01:06:26 we would love just the time once in a while.
01:06:29 Just the time, that's it.
01:06:31 Couldn't even get that.
01:06:32 We're trying to sneak Apple Watch,
01:06:33 like looks, trying to see, you know,
01:06:34 on producers' wrists, can't get anything.
01:06:36 - That is so crazy to me.
01:06:38 We've talked about this before.
01:06:39 It's just like, I don't know why,
01:06:41 but like not knowing the time of day
01:06:44 would just be so disorienting.
01:06:47 Did you start to get to know it a little bit
01:06:49 or you just up in the air every day?
01:06:51 - Reading a sundial?
01:06:52 - Yeah.
01:06:53 - We were there so long that every,
01:06:57 it was winter time, so it kept changing.
01:07:00 The sun kept going down quicker, you know,
01:07:03 and then it started to get brighter later at night.
01:07:05 So it was, no, it was impossible.
01:07:07 But then like Harry, Harrison, who was on the show,
01:07:10 he'd be like, "Hmm, I'm guessing it's about nine, 10 a.m."
01:07:13 Right?
01:07:14 (all laughing)
01:07:15 Like, how do you even know?
01:07:16 Like we just, so we would guess just like for fun,
01:07:20 but yeah, no.
01:07:21 - That is crazy.
01:07:22 - Especially in Fiji.
01:07:23 - Yeah. - Yeah.
01:07:24 - So you guys really were together
01:07:28 for a majority of the season.
01:07:30 You made it all the way to the end.
01:07:33 I wanna ask you guys,
01:07:34 what were your first initial impressions of each other
01:07:38 when you first met in the villa?
01:07:40 - Okay, so mine of Marco was very different.
01:07:44 So I, okay, so first, I'll say first impression.
01:07:47 I was attracted to him.
01:07:48 He's definitely my type.
01:07:50 I said in my interviews, tall, athletic, funny.
01:07:53 So-
01:07:54 - Six three solid steel and sexy.
01:07:55 - And I walked in, yeah, that was his thing.
01:07:58 So I walked in, he's just staring at me,
01:08:00 I was like just smiling.
01:08:01 He's just giddy.
01:08:02 So I was like trying not to look at him.
01:08:04 And like, I was like,
01:08:05 "Hmm, I don't know if I wanna like steer clear."
01:08:07 I thought he was like giving like little player vibes.
01:08:10 And then when I was in the villa,
01:08:12 he was coupled up with a girl already on the first day.
01:08:15 So you know, you're in the dressing room,
01:08:17 girls are talking about everything
01:08:18 and people were talking about him
01:08:20 and like their impression of him.
01:08:23 So when I chose to steal him,
01:08:25 that was my job as a bombshell.
01:08:27 I really had to like block out the noise
01:08:30 'cause everybody was kind of talking shit about him.
01:08:31 So I was like, "All right, well."
01:08:32 - I was gonna say, who chewed you out at the beginning?
01:08:35 Destiny?
01:08:36 - Who do you think?
01:08:37 - Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was definitely Destiny.
01:08:39 But I was like, there's, I was like,
01:08:41 and I'm sure Destiny was not holding back
01:08:43 in the dressing room either.
01:08:44 - No, exactly.
01:08:46 And I'm just sitting there awkwardly like,
01:08:48 "Okay, like just putting my mascara on like,
01:08:51 "well, all right, but hey, he's nice to me."
01:08:53 So I really had to just block that out
01:08:56 and yeah, make my decision.
01:08:57 And I'm so happy I did because like, yeah.
01:09:00 So every time someone came in, I gave them that advice.
01:09:02 I'm like, "Don't listen to what other people are saying.
01:09:03 "Like do you based off what you feel?"
01:09:06 So it worked out for me.
01:09:09 - Yeah, I know there's a lot of viewers out there
01:09:11 that watch the show.
01:09:13 In the beginning, all the guys were asked their type
01:09:15 and I was kind of annoyed.
01:09:17 You know, when I was sitting in my first guys chat,
01:09:19 we were going around like, "What's your type?"
01:09:21 They sit there like, "I don't really have a type.
01:09:24 "You know, everybody's beautiful."
01:09:26 Like, that's bullshit, dude.
01:09:27 You have a type.
01:09:29 You got to, we're here, you gotta have something.
01:09:31 So when they asked me my type, I was like,
01:09:34 tan skin, brown hair, athletic, you know, great smile.
01:09:37 Those were the things that I wanted to say as my type.
01:09:39 And when I saw her walk in the second day
01:09:41 out of the hideaway doors,
01:09:42 I think I jumped out of my seat, ran to the door,
01:09:45 gave her the biggest hug, kiss on the cheek,
01:09:48 didn't even say one word in our first conversation,
01:09:50 just smiled at her and she chose somebody else.
01:09:53 So that hurt, that hit low.
01:09:55 I was upset, I can't lie.
01:09:57 - Just for the date.
01:09:58 - Just the date, just the date.
01:10:00 - Yeah.
01:10:00 - So then, yes, you finally do connect.
01:10:05 When did you guys have a moment that you thought like,
01:10:08 this is really something that could work?
01:10:11 Does it happen way faster than you think?
01:10:15 Obviously everything is sped up in the villa.
01:10:17 - Yeah, for sure.
01:10:19 Like, honestly, I think it was a couple of days in.
01:10:21 So to be honest, me and Marco,
01:10:22 we don't really open up easily to anybody.
01:10:25 So, but he opened up to me about his past
01:10:28 and then I felt like, oh wow, okay,
01:10:31 like this is something that I like.
01:10:33 And then I opened up to him.
01:10:35 So I wanna say it was like,
01:10:36 our first chat you opened up like two, three days in,
01:10:39 I was like, okay, so there is more to him.
01:10:42 - She called me out on the first chat though,
01:10:43 that I wasn't opening up.
01:10:45 - Yeah.
01:10:45 - So I was, and this is my first time talking to her,
01:10:48 I was a little nervous and stuff.
01:10:50 Still, when I look at her, I get nervous.
01:10:51 She's so beautiful.
01:10:53 So, but I got a little nervous
01:10:55 and my next chat kind of smoothed some things out
01:10:57 and I went to like in depth about my family,
01:10:59 where I'm from, kind of my past.
01:11:01 So it began to get better.
01:11:03 But I, like I said, I knew right away,
01:11:05 from the second I laid my eyes on her,
01:11:06 I knew she, just her energy, her smile,
01:11:09 obviously I'm attracted to her.
01:11:11 I just knew that I wasn't gonna let another guy
01:11:13 interfere that connection.
01:11:15 And so I was competing,
01:11:17 it's a competition in Love Island,
01:11:19 but I wasn't competing for anything
01:11:20 besides compete for her heart the whole time.
01:11:22 And that's all I worried about every single day
01:11:23 was proving myself to her.
01:11:25 Especially when you start off on a rough,
01:11:27 rough, rough start, real rough start.
01:11:29 So it was hard to fight back, but we did it.
01:11:31 - Now, speaking of your past,
01:11:33 obviously as a viewer,
01:11:34 everybody gets excited to watch Casa more,
01:11:36 but when you're in the villa,
01:11:37 I bet it's very anxiety inducing,
01:11:40 you don't know what's gonna happen there.
01:11:41 And Marco, we saw that your ex came in,
01:11:45 but you shot that down.
01:11:46 What was the initial reaction?
01:11:48 And are you like, damn, they really did me like that.
01:11:52 Like they're gonna bring my ex?
01:11:54 - That would totally.
01:11:55 My initial reaction was,
01:11:56 I mean, it's kind of lame to be honest.
01:12:00 I was like,
01:12:00 I just, she capitalized on her opportunity.
01:12:04 I mean, her name's Hannah, she's Hannah.
01:12:07 I could see how, you know, she did that,
01:12:10 but man, I don't know if I would fly across the country
01:12:14 to know a door shut.
01:12:16 It was an ex-situationship.
01:12:17 I didn't even ever, I never even took her on a date.
01:12:20 Never told her I liked her.
01:12:23 - She's getting roasted.
01:12:25 - Has this to her too.
01:12:28 - I just gave it to her.
01:12:30 - He's very old.
01:12:31 - It's just, it is what it is.
01:12:33 I mean, way to capitalize.
01:12:35 I'm a business mind.
01:12:36 I thought that was an amazing time for her
01:12:38 to really pull her strings.
01:12:40 She did it.
01:12:41 She got in there.
01:12:42 - Love Island.
01:12:42 - I was so pissed.
01:12:44 - She did couple up with somebody.
01:12:46 - She did, yeah, but I wasn't mad about that.
01:12:48 What she, what was I about to say?
01:12:53 - I don't know.
01:12:54 - Yeah, but you know what?
01:12:56 - You said you were so pissed.
01:12:58 - Yeah, I was just pissed that it happened like that,
01:13:03 especially because, oh, we had a voice chat before
01:13:06 and I was fired up.
01:13:07 I was like, my Kenzo was like,
01:13:09 "See Marco, if you sleep outside,
01:13:11 you know, you're good to the Lord, you pray.
01:13:14 God's gonna bless you.
01:13:15 The universe is gonna bring you guys back together
01:13:16 quicker than you thought."
01:13:17 Now we're all excited.
01:13:19 I'm fired up.
01:13:19 And then she walks in and I was just like,
01:13:21 "Oh my God, you gotta be kidding me."
01:13:24 That's Love Island though.
01:13:26 Hannah O is, you know, Hannah O.
01:13:28 And at that point I said she needed to go.
01:13:30 - Oh man.
01:13:33 Hannah, how did you feel during Kost-A-Mor
01:13:35 because I know that it's obviously stressful
01:13:38 and like, it's a weird balance of trying to be respectful,
01:13:42 but also not just like completely closing yourself off
01:13:45 to everybody.
01:13:45 How did you feel doing it?
01:13:49 - Yeah, so like, honestly going into Kosta,
01:13:52 like I was like, okay, this is part of the show.
01:13:54 Like I know it's gonna happen.
01:13:55 So I wasn't mad about Kosta.
01:13:56 I was like, oh, it'll be good for me and him.
01:13:58 We have some time apart.
01:13:59 It'll make us stronger.
01:14:00 So when we're like two days in, I got that video.
01:14:04 The least thing that I,
01:14:05 like that was the last thing I expected ever.
01:14:08 And then it was just a lot in that moment,
01:14:12 getting that video and the craziness of it.
01:14:14 And I was strong though.
01:14:16 I stood strong and I was like, okay, well,
01:14:19 I know how I feel,
01:14:20 but I'd be lying if I didn't feel like sabotaged.
01:14:23 I was like, okay, no one else is in this position but me.
01:14:25 And then you think the worst.
01:14:28 Okay, like he's told me one thing,
01:14:31 but when exes are involved, it's a whole other situation.
01:14:35 So I'm like, okay, if he goes back to his ex,
01:14:36 like that's on him, like I said,
01:14:38 but I definitely broke down a couple of times
01:14:40 and I was like, forget this.
01:14:41 Like, I wanna get out of here, get back to the villa.
01:14:45 So yeah, that was the hardest.
01:14:46 And then to come back and to learn that it was like
01:14:48 a situation ship, like a fling,
01:14:50 not even like a whole relationship.
01:14:52 - That relationship, play on words they did.
01:14:55 In the video, yeah, it was not easy for her to go through,
01:14:59 especially when it wasn't even my girlfriend.
01:15:01 Never was my girlfriend.
01:15:03 Like I said, business mind, I like it.
01:15:05 (laughing)
01:15:07 I don't really get the short end of the stick a lot,
01:15:11 but I like it.
01:15:12 - There was so much drama this season.
01:15:14 It was, from a viewer standpoint, entertaining to watch,
01:15:17 but I know, Hannah, you kind of felt like a voice of reason
01:15:22 to me for some of the other women.
01:15:24 I think they would go to you a lot for advice
01:15:27 and that's a lot of what we saw,
01:15:30 because for me, I hope it all works out in the end,
01:15:34 but watching KK and watching Cassie
01:15:38 kind of like navigate those situations,
01:15:42 in the moment you're like, ditch these guys.
01:15:45 Like, what is happening?
01:15:47 So how are you and the other women feeling?
01:15:50 Because it's hard to kind of keep your opinions in
01:15:52 when that stuff is happening.
01:15:53 - Yeah, like I remember having a chat with Carmen.
01:15:57 I'm like, well, these are, I'm not gonna waste my voice.
01:16:01 You know what I mean?
01:16:02 Like, you're coming to me for advice
01:16:03 and that's one thing that bothers me.
01:16:05 When you ask me for something
01:16:07 and then it just goes one ear out the other,
01:16:09 I'm like, okay, then why do I get myself involved?
01:16:11 Why do I, 'cause why do I take on your emotions
01:16:14 and support you?
01:16:15 So that was definitely hard for me this season.
01:16:17 Like, yeah, 'cause you get so close
01:16:21 and you just want the best for the girls,
01:16:23 but it comes to a point too,
01:16:24 where I had to protect my own peace.
01:16:26 Like, no, I'm not gonna get involved
01:16:28 if this is just gonna be a circle of emotions for me too.
01:16:31 So there was a point at the end where I was like,
01:16:33 all right, I'm gonna take a step back after Casa.
01:16:36 I was like, okay, me and Marco, there's like a clip of us.
01:16:38 We're like, you wanna talk to anyone today?
01:16:40 We're like, no.
01:16:41 (laughing)
01:16:42 We're just gonna sit here and talk to no one.
01:16:43 And I'm so happy I did that,
01:16:45 'cause I feel like it definitely made my experience
01:16:47 different after I chose to do that.
01:16:49 So it was a learning experience, but it was hard.
01:16:52 - Yeah, I wouldn't change giving the advice either
01:16:54 in my standpoint.
01:16:56 I know she wouldn't, but when you give it, give it,
01:16:58 give it, give it, and then kind of nothing's changing.
01:17:01 There came a time where I just wanted to hang out with Hannah
01:17:05 and that's okay.
01:17:06 We tried to give our voice of reason
01:17:08 and try to let everybody know
01:17:10 how to build a strong relationship in here.
01:17:12 And one, you just think with your head
01:17:14 and not something else, as a man.
01:17:16 And then for a girl, you gotta stick by it.
01:17:19 You gotta be the powerful woman you are.
01:17:21 You gotta know your worth and stuff.
01:17:22 And I was trying to tell KK, you gotta know your worth.
01:17:25 You gotta know your worth.
01:17:26 I told Anna all the time before she left,
01:17:28 if your person's not here to know your worth,
01:17:29 don't force something.
01:17:30 And that's why I have mad respect for Anna
01:17:32 standing up and leaving when her only option was Bergie.
01:17:34 She wasn't gonna force it.
01:17:35 You know what I mean?
01:17:36 And then some people stayed on the show to be with Bergie.
01:17:39 So it worked out in the end and I'm just happy about that.
01:17:42 - Yeah, definitely.
01:17:43 I think this is maybe one of the first times,
01:17:45 I don't know, I could be totally wrong,
01:17:46 but it felt like the final four couples,
01:17:50 it felt like everybody had put a label
01:17:53 on their relationships.
01:17:54 It felt serious, more serious than I think past seasons
01:17:58 where I'm like, mm, I don't really know.
01:17:59 - Especially coming off of UK recently.
01:18:01 - Yeah, I don't really know how this is gonna work
01:18:05 in the real world.
01:18:06 And I think putting that boyfriend/girlfriend label on it
01:18:09 is obviously a big deal and shows that you want
01:18:13 to actually make it work in the real world.
01:18:17 Marco, I think everyone thought that maybe
01:18:20 you were gonna do it a little earlier than when you did,
01:18:23 but I think Hannah, you were joking.
01:18:27 You were like, ah, he's jumping straight to marriage.
01:18:29 He says we don't even need to do this,
01:18:31 which is obviously funny, but I do think
01:18:34 it got to the point where I kind of forgot.
01:18:36 In my mind, I was like, well, they're boyfriend/girlfriend.
01:18:38 And then when it happened in the last date,
01:18:40 I was like, oh my God, I forgot he hasn't even asked her yet.
01:18:42 So Marco, hey, what made you wait so long?
01:18:45 - I was, well, five days was full
01:18:49 of just being nervous myself.
01:18:51 I haven't had a girlfriend in probably five years now.
01:18:55 I took a lot of time to myself to grow
01:18:58 within becoming a man from the party boy I was,
01:19:02 kind of that playboy that she initiated.
01:19:03 We all been there.
01:19:04 We had that party face.
01:19:05 So just being able to know my growth is seen in her eyes
01:19:09 and I am someone that I know I am,
01:19:11 and I know she's on that same page
01:19:12 is kind of the first check with her.
01:19:14 Second thing is one thing I wanted in this experience,
01:19:17 I said in all the pre-diagnosis of Love Island,
01:19:20 I need to find a girl that values family dynamics.
01:19:23 So when I saw my family on the screen
01:19:25 talk about Hannah more than they talked about me,
01:19:27 I knew she's the one.
01:19:28 So I wouldn't even, it was about probably four or five days
01:19:31 after family night that I asked her, I would say.
01:19:33 Would that be about right?
01:19:34 Maybe a week?
01:19:35 - Yeah, probably.
01:19:36 - Like I said, we lose time in there.
01:19:38 But I just, I had to make sure it was the right time.
01:19:41 I had to make sure my dad approved, my sister approved.
01:19:45 I sure, and the helper approved.
01:19:47 So, and to know that she was ready,
01:19:49 it just, I felt right in the jungle at night,
01:19:53 serenaded by a beautiful musician playing guitar in Fiji.
01:19:57 I mean, at an unbelievable date,
01:19:59 I just, I was able to really lay my heart out there.
01:20:03 And when I happened to realize after family night,
01:20:06 I got really emotional about my mom.
01:20:08 And I saw, after I got off the show
01:20:10 that I thought I wasn't gonna record,
01:20:12 I took off my mic and stuff,
01:20:13 but it became a very vulnerable moment for me.
01:20:15 And I just realized my mom sent me Hannah.
01:20:18 And I prayed on it every day before I got in here.
01:20:21 I read the Bible every night before I go to sleep.
01:20:25 And I just realized, one day it just caught up to me
01:20:28 and I got really emotional that my mom sent Hannah,
01:20:30 just their name correlation when Hannah's mom came on
01:20:33 and her name's Maria with the black hair, red lipstick,
01:20:37 literally the same look as my mom.
01:20:39 I was just blown away.
01:20:41 Unbelievable, I got chills thinking about it.
01:20:44 And that's when I knew,
01:20:46 my mom really sent this angel to me, so I'm gonna take it.
01:20:49 - It's really beautiful.
01:20:50 - Best gift I've ever received.
01:20:53 - Yeah. - 100% goes down.
01:20:54 - Absolutely, absolutely.
01:20:56 It's that's really a sweet, very, very sweet sentiment.
01:20:59 I'm super, very happy for you guys.
01:21:01 I do think that the viewers all felt that way as well,
01:21:04 obviously, 'cause you guys won.
01:21:06 What was your thoughts going into the finale?
01:21:08 Were you hopeful that you were gonna win?
01:21:10 Were you even thinking about it?
01:21:12 It's a lot of money, it's like a big deal.
01:21:16 - Yeah, I feel like going into it, this whole ride,
01:21:22 we're like, okay, if it's our time to go,
01:21:23 it's our time to go.
01:21:24 Like you really don't know what people think of you.
01:21:27 To be honest, I thought some of my,
01:21:28 my mouth would give me a trouble.
01:21:29 I thought like I was like, get me voted off.
01:21:32 Like, so, and like everyday things change.
01:21:35 Like there was a clip where it was me and Hannah O
01:21:37 and it was the dumping and Sarah Hyland just said Hannah.
01:21:39 So I stood up, I was like, all right, well.
01:21:41 (laughing)
01:21:42 It's like Hannah O, I'm like, oh, okay.
01:21:45 But anyway, so when we made it to the final,
01:21:46 I was like, oh wow, we're in the final.
01:21:49 So that's great.
01:21:50 We haven't been vulnerable once.
01:21:51 So obviously I'm like, okay, so we're in a good position.
01:21:55 But when we were up there in the final two,
01:21:57 I was like, oh wow, like this is happening.
01:21:59 And then that's when I was like, okay, like maybe we won.
01:22:03 We could win this.
01:22:04 And I was just, just the shock of it all.
01:22:06 It was just crazy.
01:22:07 But yeah, you never know what people think.
01:22:09 - Right.
01:22:10 - 'Cause things change so quick.
01:22:11 - What surprised you guys the most going into Love Island?
01:22:15 Obviously you have your thoughts going into it,
01:22:17 what you think it's gonna be.
01:22:18 What was something you took away that you were shocked by?
01:22:21 - One thing, wow.
01:22:26 Yeah, there's a thousand.
01:22:27 - You can name a bunch.
01:22:28 - Oh man, again, no time awareness, no idea of the day.
01:22:34 Your emotions are broadcasted 24/7 all day long.
01:22:39 I fart when I sleep.
01:22:42 That was known quite the amount of times.
01:22:45 It's pretty embarrassing.
01:22:46 I can't even fart in peace.
01:22:47 - Even when you're using the restroom.
01:22:50 - When you're using the restroom everywhere.
01:22:52 - Oh God.
01:22:53 - And then we used to go in the shower
01:22:55 so that no one could like--
01:22:58 - Under the water, you know?
01:22:58 - Yeah, so like, no one could hear us.
01:23:00 We wake up the next morning, big ass mic right in the face.
01:23:03 - Oh my God.
01:23:05 They were like, you guys are knocking away with shit.
01:23:08 - No.
01:23:09 - And we tried.
01:23:09 - We tried.
01:23:10 - I'd be like, okay, let's go to the bathroom.
01:23:11 Let's like have a little chat.
01:23:13 Nope, they'd be on us in two seconds.
01:23:15 So I think that's what was hard.
01:23:16 Like this really is 24/7.
01:23:19 - Microscopic environment.
01:23:22 That's the hardest part.
01:23:23 - For sure.
01:23:24 - Yeah, that was hard.
01:23:25 And then obviously when you go through hard times,
01:23:28 the only people you wanna talk to is your family.
01:23:30 And she became, at that point, my family.
01:23:33 It was my best friend in there.
01:23:36 It was the only girl I could talk to.
01:23:38 She already knew about where I come from, who I am.
01:23:40 And when I have a day upset about my mom,
01:23:43 she's the only one I can talk to.
01:23:44 And so, and she's the only one I wanna talk to.
01:23:47 So we just really relied on each other
01:23:49 and moments like that.
01:23:53 - You all created like great friendships too.
01:23:55 I think people loved seeing your,
01:23:57 the two of you specifically's love for Bergie
01:24:00 and individually your relationship with him
01:24:03 and as a couple, your relationship with him.
01:24:05 How did that evolve?
01:24:09 Like I think Bergie was,
01:24:11 having that male, female friendship,
01:24:14 that's just friendship can sometimes be difficult too,
01:24:17 but you guys seem to have really connected.
01:24:19 - Yeah.
01:24:20 - You want me to say one thing?
01:24:22 - Yeah, go ahead.
01:24:23 - From my point of view,
01:24:24 I think having girl best friend is always misconstrued.
01:24:29 A lot of girls don't trust the opposite guy
01:24:32 or a lot of guys don't trust their girl
01:24:33 to have other guy friends.
01:24:35 And I just thought that was a great example
01:24:36 on how they were truly just good friends,
01:24:38 could rely on each other.
01:24:39 He could give her advice, I couldn't.
01:24:41 No, that's all I wanted to say.
01:24:41 I think it was awesome.
01:24:42 They established a co-ed bond
01:24:44 that was one of the strongest in the villa.
01:24:46 And if you ask any other girl in the villa,
01:24:48 they can't really say they created that.
01:24:51 So to show that to USA,
01:24:53 I think that's an amazing process.
01:24:55 - Yeah, and me and Bergie, I don't know,
01:24:57 we're very different, but we just click.
01:24:59 We think the same about things.
01:25:01 So we'd be seeing stuff in the villa
01:25:03 where he'd be like, "Yeah, that's weird."
01:25:04 And I'm like, "Yeah."
01:25:06 And then sometimes even,
01:25:07 so we let Marco in our little group later,
01:25:10 but then it'd be me and Bergie thinking the same,
01:25:12 then Marco would be over here like, "Nah."
01:25:13 And then me and Bergie would team up on Marco.
01:25:15 We're like, "No."
01:25:16 So me and Bergie, we think the same.
01:25:18 It was so funny when I was away at Casa,
01:25:21 I was like, "Okay, no matter what,
01:25:22 "I know I have Bergie there
01:25:23 "who's gonna keep it real with me,
01:25:24 "and he's gonna tell me what's what."
01:25:26 And I appreciate that 'cause he was like,
01:25:28 he didn't care about the bro code type thing.
01:25:31 He was just like, "What's right is right,
01:25:32 "what's wrong is wrong."
01:25:33 And I feel like I was similar with the girls.
01:25:35 Like, "Okay, I have closer friends who are the girls,
01:25:37 "but I'm not just gonna stick beside you
01:25:39 "just because if it's wrong."
01:25:41 So we both had similar views on that,
01:25:45 which is what I respect about him.
01:25:46 And it's just crazy 'cause we're very different backgrounds,
01:25:49 very different upbringings,
01:25:52 but yeah, we just work with his friends.
01:25:55 - Sometimes the best friendships form that way.
01:25:57 And like you said, when people are like,
01:25:59 when you're like, "That's weird,"
01:26:00 and you can bond with someone over being like,
01:26:01 "Yeah, I also think that's weird."
01:26:03 - It's a great feeling.
01:26:05 - Yeah, Bergie's change throughout the whole show
01:26:08 was so inspiring.
01:26:09 I know there's a little clip in the beginning,
01:26:11 calling me a douchebag, or I called her a douchebag,
01:26:13 but it was completely, I can't say much about it,
01:26:17 but just know it was all friendship,
01:26:19 man, in that sense.
01:26:21 I've been Bergie's friend since day one.
01:26:23 It was never, "Oh, I started a little friendship
01:26:26 "down the line."
01:26:26 It was truly, that's kind of a little behind the scenes.
01:26:29 We were always good friends from the first night.
01:26:31 Every time in my life, I was part of a team,
01:26:35 and he's my teammate, so I'm gonna hold him accountable.
01:26:38 I'm gonna inspire him.
01:26:39 I'm gonna know that there's better,
01:26:41 you gotta have confidence.
01:26:42 You're Bergie.
01:26:43 Whether you're here, I'm here, we're all the same.
01:26:47 We're both here.
01:26:48 I helped him.
01:26:49 We changed our closets.
01:26:50 We interchanged our closets.
01:26:51 We were wearing everybody's thing.
01:26:53 I told him to grow facial hair.
01:26:54 He didn't want to, but he really was the one
01:26:57 that get him to do it because Mattia got his beard lined
01:27:00 by the barber, and that was it.
01:27:01 Didn't even get a haircut, and that's when Bergie was like,
01:27:03 "Okay, I'm gonna grow a beard."
01:27:04 He just changed.
01:27:05 - He has a chain now.
01:27:06 - Yeah.
01:27:07 - I know, believe me.
01:27:09 The next thing I was gonna bring up was,
01:27:11 he obviously went through a lot of personal growth,
01:27:13 but I felt like the physical things he changed matched it.
01:27:17 He looked kind of like, he had a little baby face
01:27:21 when he first started, and he ends with the girlfriend.
01:27:25 He's got the beard.
01:27:26 He's got the vibe.
01:27:27 He definitely got a little sexier for sure.
01:27:30 I was like, "Okay, Bergie, good for you."
01:27:33 It totally matched, I think, his personal growth,
01:27:36 and speaking up for himself and doing all that
01:27:39 was honestly awesome, but I was really sad
01:27:43 when Grandpa Bergie kind of said that they thought
01:27:48 maybe it was a forced thing.
01:27:49 Did anybody in the villa agree
01:27:52 with what Grandpa Bergie was saying,
01:27:54 or did you guys feel that connection with him and Taylor?
01:27:58 - Yeah, at the time, it was relatively new,
01:28:00 so I know that was a thought in the back of her head,
01:28:02 just because how protective we are of Bergie.
01:28:05 We love Taylor to death.
01:28:06 I told Hannah when she came back from Costco,
01:28:08 "You're gonna love Taylor, her sense of humor
01:28:10 "is outside of this room."
01:28:11 She makes me laugh, and it's just an unbelievable time
01:28:15 together, but I was so protective on Bergie.
01:28:18 It was so hard for me to accept that,
01:28:20 'cause I saw him get curved, curved, curved,
01:28:23 not talk to, wouldn't even get pulled for a chat.
01:28:26 Moments away from when Taylor talked to him,
01:28:28 Bergie came to me, he was like, "Hey, Marco, I'm done.
01:28:32 "I'm done, I'm not pulling any more girls for a chat.
01:28:34 "If they wanna talk to me, they can come to me,
01:28:36 "but I'm spent, my tank's empty,"
01:28:38 and that's exactly when Taylor pulled him.
01:28:40 So I think it was great timing.
01:28:42 In the back of our head, we had a little doubt,
01:28:44 because that's our boy, we don't want him
01:28:46 played in the long run.
01:28:47 - Yeah, what solidified it to me,
01:28:51 'cause I love Taylor as a person.
01:28:52 Me and her, from the jump, we clicked.
01:28:54 And so what solidified it for me was during family night
01:28:58 when her mom said, "I knew you'd go for Bergie.
01:29:01 "He's your type, I knew it."
01:29:02 So, and that's her mom, and Taylor's mom,
01:29:04 that's her best friend.
01:29:05 So I was like, "Oh, that's who she wants."
01:29:10 So I feel like Grandpa Bergie,
01:29:11 Bergie also told me, he said,
01:29:13 "I think that my grandpa just doesn't like
01:29:14 "the show in general."
01:29:15 Like, he just-- - That could be the case.
01:29:17 - Super fair.
01:29:19 - He made a quick comment,
01:29:20 "He's seen more skin on 'Love Line'
01:29:21 "than he did in the medical field for 50 years."
01:29:23 So I thought that was amazing, that was funny.
01:29:25 - He's probably just shocked by the show in general.
01:29:29 - Right, he's probably like,
01:29:29 "All right, Bergie, time to come home."
01:29:32 You know, like, right?
01:29:33 It's just, like, let's wrap it up.
01:29:35 I'm done watching this show.
01:29:37 But no, for sure.
01:29:39 And there was all these,
01:29:41 all the connections really did seem genuine.
01:29:43 I have to ask you guys,
01:29:44 because I don't know if you saw this,
01:29:46 but Hannah, I feel like probably you,
01:29:48 I don't know, Marco, I don't know if you're very familiar
01:29:50 with the Dumois and Instagram account anonymous submissions.
01:29:55 There was something that kind of went viral
01:29:56 that a popular Love Island couple, unnamed,
01:30:00 had known each other before the villa,
01:30:01 and they went in with the guise of winning the show.
01:30:07 And a lot of people jumped to you guys
01:30:09 because they felt like you guys
01:30:10 had the strongest connection.
01:30:13 Any thoughts on that?
01:30:16 - I'll go first.
01:30:18 I'll light this room up.
01:30:19 No, I just, no, absolutely not.
01:30:23 It was not a thought.
01:30:24 I understand, you know, our types aligned perfectly.
01:30:27 We never knew each other.
01:30:28 I live in Ohio, she lives in Palm Springs.
01:30:30 You know, there were no mutuals.
01:30:32 We didn't share the same gym.
01:30:34 We didn't correlate in any way or at all.
01:30:39 There was no, there's no match there.
01:30:41 I would have never crossed paths with her.
01:30:44 She's older than me, two years older than me.
01:30:46 Like I said, if I was on a dating app near her,
01:30:49 our geo locations don't reach across the country.
01:30:52 So.
01:30:53 - I've never been to Ohio.
01:30:54 He lives in Florida now.
01:30:55 Never been to Florida.
01:30:56 Like, I really feel like if it wasn't for the show,
01:30:59 we wouldn't have crossed paths in life.
01:31:02 'Cause we're just.
01:31:03 - Right, I mean, you live on the opposite side
01:31:05 of the country.
01:31:05 - If I saw her in a bar, yeah, if I saw her in a bar,
01:31:07 she wouldn't get another breath out.
01:31:09 Don't get that.
01:31:09 - I love that clarification.
01:31:13 But no, that.
01:31:14 - He would approach you in a bar
01:31:15 if you were in the same state.
01:31:16 - Right.
01:31:17 It's like, we didn't know each other,
01:31:18 but if we did, like, I would still talk to her.
01:31:20 (laughing)
01:31:21 - Oh, 100%.
01:31:22 - Yeah, yeah.
01:31:23 So now.
01:31:24 - We're not even from the same area, you know.
01:31:26 - Yeah, yeah. - Bottom line.
01:31:27 - No, definitely.
01:31:28 That's, it's always a good thing to clear up.
01:31:30 So now, like, what's the future got in store for you guys?
01:31:33 I know I'm sure you're having these conversations,
01:31:35 but you're back in the real world.
01:31:37 You mentioned you wanna see your families
01:31:40 and go and talk and see everybody.
01:31:41 But have you talked about what the next steps are
01:31:44 for you guys as a couple?
01:31:45 - Every day, all day.
01:31:47 Go ahead.
01:31:48 - Yeah.
01:31:48 - So, I plan on moving to Florida.
01:31:51 I haven't even been there, so we're going there tomorrow.
01:31:53 - Florida's great.
01:31:54 What part of Florida?
01:31:56 - Boca Raton is where I live.
01:31:57 - Oh, nice. - Oh, beautiful.
01:31:58 You'll love it.
01:32:00 - Okay, so yeah, I'm like in a position
01:32:02 where I always said, like, I'm not tied to Cali.
01:32:05 So I always said, like, if I find my person, I'll move.
01:32:09 And I feel like I found my person.
01:32:11 So that's my plan.
01:32:12 - Still good weather.
01:32:15 - Yeah.
01:32:16 - That's what, and then somebody, I remember in the villa,
01:32:18 they said that, like, Boca's kind of like Palm Springs
01:32:21 in Florida, like similar vibe.
01:32:22 - True. - So my exactly is warm.
01:32:24 That's what I like, so.
01:32:25 - Definitely warm.
01:32:26 - Yeah, and you're close to so many other great spots.
01:32:31 We're down in like, our families are down
01:32:33 like the West Palm Beach, Jupiter area.
01:32:35 - Oh, one of these.
01:32:36 - Yeah, it's like, there's a ton.
01:32:38 You really can't go wrong.
01:32:39 So I highly, we highly support that decision
01:32:42 to head to Florida.
01:32:44 - Delray, great, Delray's great.
01:32:46 - Throw social.
01:32:47 - Yeah, oh, I love throw social.
01:32:50 - We're gonna have that place rocking.
01:32:52 I'll tell you that.
01:32:53 That's where we're going.
01:32:54 That's our coming home party.
01:32:55 - Perfect.
01:32:56 - That's a great spot.
01:32:57 - Yeah, no, it's a great spot.
01:32:58 So I'm glad you guys are making those plans.
01:33:02 'Cause I think one of the hardest things that people do
01:33:05 when they get out of their show is you see them say like,
01:33:07 oh, we're gonna try and make the distance work
01:33:09 and see what happens.
01:33:11 And then that never actually pans out.
01:33:14 So you kind of have to make that commitment
01:33:15 to each other, I think.
01:33:17 - Yeah, distance is a bullshit excuse.
01:33:19 I truly think that, you know, there's no reason
01:33:20 to have, you know, a distance excuse.
01:33:23 I'm here.
01:33:24 All I did was fly here.
01:33:26 I am in school and I'm still doing my priorities.
01:33:29 Shannon ended up coming in on me,
01:33:30 recording me getting onto my Zoom class.
01:33:31 But you know, for me, my near future is graduating college.
01:33:36 It's a life goal of mine to do.
01:33:37 I know, you know, some people are like,
01:33:39 you don't have to, don't waste this moment
01:33:41 where you're focused somewhere else.
01:33:43 But for me, it was a promise I made my mom.
01:33:45 I want my degree, like I really do.
01:33:47 So she's gonna help me get that, you know,
01:33:49 in the next, by May.
01:33:50 - Study buddy.
01:33:51 - She's my study buddy, so.
01:33:52 - Perfect.
01:33:54 - Yeah, a little worried though, at first,
01:33:56 the bill was I'm just cemented in Florida
01:33:57 and she took that away like easy.
01:33:59 I started my life there, started some businesses there.
01:34:02 I have a couple properties there,
01:34:03 so I wasn't really up to moving.
01:34:04 She took that away and that's when I knew,
01:34:06 you know, this is my girl.
01:34:08 - Yeah, it also works out good
01:34:09 'cause I'm in a place in my life
01:34:10 where like I'm done with school.
01:34:12 Like I just started working last year.
01:34:14 I'm still figuring it out.
01:34:15 So it's kind of a perfect time for this to happen.
01:34:18 - Right, no, it's great.
01:34:19 You guys can set up roots together,
01:34:20 which is really a beautiful thing.
01:34:23 So we're super excited.
01:34:25 I mean, we were rooting for you guys
01:34:26 the whole season for sure.
01:34:28 I think, you know, I very much support America's decision
01:34:32 and who they wanted on top, at the top of this whole thing.
01:34:37 So we're very excited for you guys.
01:34:38 - Oh, thank you so much.
01:34:39 - Thanks for jumping on and talking with us.
01:34:41 - Thank you so much.
01:34:42 - Everyone, I know, I know, everyone,
01:34:45 I know you were watching,
01:34:46 so go and follow along with their journeys.
01:34:48 It'll be a lot of fun.
01:34:49 And thanks for coming on the show guys.
01:34:51 - No, thank you so much.
01:34:52 - That Andy Warhol edit, or that in the background,
01:34:55 that Campbell's Soup, that is so tough.
01:34:57 I love soup, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
01:34:59 - No, no, you're good.
01:35:00 - You guys can go.
01:35:01 - We just really love soup, so that's what that's for.
01:35:05 (laughing)
01:35:07 - Okay.
01:35:08 - All right, awesome.
01:35:09 - Thank you guys so much.
01:35:10 - Thank you so much.
01:35:11 - Bye.
01:35:11 - Bye. - I miss you too.
01:35:12 - All right, that wraps up today's episode
01:35:15 of Chicks in the Office.
01:35:16 We hope you guys have an amazing weekend.
01:35:18 Have fun, be safe.
01:35:19 We love you guys.
01:35:20 And we'll talk to you on Wednesday.
01:35:23 (whooshing)
01:35:25 (whooshing)
01:35:27 (whooshing)
01:35:29 (whooshing)
01:35:32 (whooshing)
