00:00 Hi, BAPsters! Welcome to Preview Ball and tonight we are here with Miss Sam Pinto!
00:06 So how are you feeling tonight, Sam?
00:08 I'm good, I'm excited to see all the people because I haven't been to events in so long.
00:12 So since we're at Preview Ball and all white on Team Kinect, tell us about your look for tonight.
00:17 So the look for tonight is very bold and confident.
00:21 So this dress is by Joey Matibay by Sabrina's Couture and of course styled by John Hasil.
00:27 And yeah, so the inspo is my comeback.
00:31 The comeback!
00:32 The comeback after 6 years of chilling.
00:35 Oh my gosh, correct. So it's been a while since you attended a media event?
00:39 Yes.
00:40 So does this mean also that you're going to be more active in showbiz?
00:44 Yes, I actually have a show right now. It's in GMA. It's called Abot Kamay Na Pakalab.
00:49 So I'm a doctor there. And it's a one-year-long show.
00:53 So we're so happy that the show lasted for a year. I hope it can extend.
00:57 The show is so populating.
00:59 Yes, girl! That's why we're all so happy.
01:02 And you're playing what role?
01:04 So the name of my character is Denise Evangelista. I'm a psychiatrist.
01:09 So I'm the partner of Michael who is Dominic Ochoa.
01:13 How is it like working with all the cast members?
01:17 Oh, I love it!
01:18 Because it's always so tense.
01:20 I love going to taping. It's like a family when we go to work.
01:28 It's not like I don't want to go to taping. But everyone's so nice and friendly, especially the director.
01:33 And Pinky Amador, even if she's the meanest, she's the nicest person ever. I love Pinky.
01:42 So when the role was offered to you, did you think about it?
01:46 Because it's been a while since you had a break.
01:50 If it's worth it?
01:52 Well, they said I should do it semi-regular.
01:55 Which was fine with me because I still want to spend time with my daughter and my family.
02:00 That's why when they said semi-regular, it's not every day I have taping.
02:03 Because taping is four times a week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
02:07 So they're like, "Okay, maybe I can do some time not super regular."
02:12 And your daughter is growing now. So how was seeing her as a toddler?
02:17 I love it. They said terrible too is bad, but I actually love it.
02:21 Because she can talk to you now. She can tell you what she wants.
02:25 And then she's happier. It's just more hassle because she's climbing everywhere.
02:30 But it's actually fun for me.
02:32 Have you observed any talents?
02:34 She loves dancing and singing. I don't know where that came from.
02:37 So you don't have a hobby where you love dancing and singing?
02:42 Not really.
02:44 Because if we don't have anything to do, what do you want to do? So we just dance and sing.
02:48 So what is mommyhood like? I mean, for the longest time when you were single, you were able to enjoy it.
02:53 And now you have a family of your own.
02:56 What changes have you noticed about yourself?
03:00 Everything.
03:02 Well, I guess the priorities change, the goals change, the body change.
03:08 Everything changes. The way you think.
03:11 You don't prioritize yourself anymore. Of course, the baby first.
03:15 I know it's boring, but it's so true.
03:18 A lot of moms opened up about having insecurities.
03:21 Pregnancy and motherhood. Did you also have those?
03:24 Of course. I think everyone has those.
03:27 Mine was after giving birth. I was so depressed. I couldn't fit in my clothes anymore.
03:37 I know it's so normal.
03:39 But as a girl, of course, it's normal.
03:42 When I saw my body after, I was like, "Oh!"
03:47 You think giving birth is hard, but the things after are hard as well.
03:53 Do you have a baby?
03:54 No, not yet.
03:55 Okay, but oh my gosh. Moms should be warned.
04:01 Any other projects where we can look forward?
04:05 Nothing.
04:06 Just go to my resort in Baler, the lesser end. Come visit.
04:10 You've been inviting us at least this time around.
04:13 Perfect.
04:14 Yes. Can you please go?
04:16 We will. One of these days, we'll talk after.
04:20 Do you have other businesses that you've opened?
04:25 I have my swimwear line and my clothing line.
04:28 We're also opening another Airbnb for rent in Batangas.
04:33 That's cool.
04:34 I'll invite you guys there too.
04:36 Okay, let's go.
04:37 We'll feature the businesses.
04:40 Overnight.
04:41 I promise.
04:43 Message me and Pep.
04:44 Pep, yes. Both of us.
04:46 Sam, can you still remember how much was your capital when you first opened your first business?
04:53 Did you start small?
04:55 My first business was the swimwear. I think I started with 500.
04:59 Oh my gosh.
05:00 That's a lot of money.
05:02 No, 500,000.
05:03 Okay.
05:04 I'm sorry.
05:05 I got excited.
05:09 I bought fabrics from abroad.
05:12 That's why I'm just like, "Is this worth it?"
05:16 She was big.
05:17 Oh my gosh.
05:18 I did this instead of that.
05:19 What happened? After you opened it, it was okay.
05:23 You got it back right away.
05:24 It's still ongoing until now.
05:26 It's a hard business.
05:28 A little clothing, swimwear.
05:30 What have you learned so far about maintaining a business?
05:36 Take risks. Do it.
05:38 Because the bank is not going to make money for you.
05:42 So you have to make your own money.
05:44 And put it in the bank.
05:46 No.
05:47 You have to invest in it.
05:49 Invest in businesses.
05:51 Because the bank only has a small percentage.
05:55 So you have to put it in businesses that will make you more money.
05:58 It will stagnate if it's in the bank.
06:00 With all these businesses, are you saving up for something?
06:04 Do you want to invest in property for your family?
06:09 We're actually looking for a lesser end too.
06:14 So we're looking for another resort to open.
06:19 So, have you thought of or have you already considered places?
06:28 Actually, on Sunday, we're going to Patangas.
06:32 It's in the south, not in the north.
06:35 But another one is in Pangasinan.
06:38 Korak.
06:40 Yes.
06:41 But it's so far.
06:42 But we'll see.
06:43 We'll see.
06:44 Let's wait for it.
06:45 Let's go there and visit.
06:47 Yes, please.
06:48 Let's tour.
06:49 Yes.
06:50 Thank you, Sam.
06:51 Thank you so much.
