00:21 visa consultancy services, posted on its website that "Important notice from Indian Mission.

00:38 This comes as India and Canada are locked in a row over Ottawa's claim it has credible
00:42 allegations linking agents of New Delhi to the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a pro-Khalistani
00:47 Sikh terrorist.
00:49 India has rejected the allegations as absurd and motivated.
00:52 It is not yet clear if the suspension of visas is linked to that row.
00:56 The move comes a day after the Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued an advisory on
00:59 Wednesday asking Indians in Canada to exercise utmost caution due to growing anti-India activities
01:06 and politically condoned hate crimes.
01:09 Sharing the advisory on the social media platform, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson
01:12 Arindam Bakshi alerted Indian citizens and students to refrain from travelling to Ottawa
01:16 amid the fact that anti-India activities, hate crimes and criminal violence are on the
01:21 zenith.
01:22 The official emphasised how Indian diplomats and sections of the Indian community who oppose
01:26 the vested interests have suffered serious threats in Canada.
01:30 In view of growing anti-India activities and politically condoned hate crimes and criminal
01:33 violence in Canada, all Indian nationals there and those contemplating travel are urged to
01:38 exercise utmost caution.
01:39 Recently, threats have particularly targeted Indian diplomats and sections of the Indian
01:43 community who oppose the anti-India agenda.
01:46 Indian nationals are therefore advised to avoid travelling to regions and potential
01:49 venues in Canada that have seen such incidents.

01:55 In a move escalating tensions between the two countries, Canadian Prime Minister Justin
01:58 Trudeau has claimed that there was evidence to suggest India's involvement in the killing
02:02 of Khalistani separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June.
02:05 These claims were rejected as absurd and motivated by the Ministry of External Affairs, which
02:09 released a statement saying, "We have seen and rejected the statement of the Canadian
02:13 Prime Minister in the Parliament, as also the statement by the Foreign Minister."
