Laver Cup 2023 - Roger Federer : “Being a spectator is great”

00:00 How do you feel back as a spectator without the ability to control what's happening on court?
00:04 It's good fun. I was at Wimbledon this year and also sat in the stands and watched tennis
00:11 and it felt great. I was really happy seeing and following tennis. I still follow results.
00:16 I can't sit through full matches just because I've got too much going on or it's a bad time zone sometimes.
00:21 But I check out the highlights and being live in a stadium honestly has a different feel
00:28 and tennis is a great live sport. So I'm really happy to be back here in Vancouver and seeing some live tennis again.
00:33 Some advice for the young guns?
00:36 I think it's thriving in the team environment, being well prepared and then embracing a big crowd.
00:47 It always depends on when you play. Obviously if you play opening day or on the second day, it depends.
00:56 But listen to the ones who have already been at the Leverkusen before and they can give you some sound advice.
01:01 I'm sure they'll be fine. They're all excellent players here. We're talking about world-class players.
