Transcript
00:00 >> I think the A said this is kind of one that got away.
00:04 How difficult is this?
00:06 >> I mean, that's exactly how it feels.
00:08 I feel like we had the game pretty much in our hands.
00:11 And it came down to execution at the end, and we just didn't do that.
00:14 >> When you look at quarterback, how deflating can that be, or
00:17 how deflating is it?
00:18 >> Yeah, it is deflating, but we always have confidence in the next man.
00:21 Eric will be all right.
00:22 James can come and get a job done.
00:24 We just knew that.
00:26 We just had to continue doing what we were doing.
00:27 And yeah.
00:29 >> You guys didn't have the execution you wanted, you moved the ball, but
00:31 you didn't get any ends on.
00:32 How do you kind of correct that?
00:34 >> Yeah, we just gotta continue to work on it each and every day at practice.
00:39 Continue trusting the game plan, and just go out there and
00:42 execute is what it comes down to.
00:43 >> With the punt return, what did you see on the punt return?
00:46 >> Man, ten other guys blocking for me.
00:49 That's all it was.
00:51 As soon as I caught the ball, I just seen a deep hole, and then the shot gone.
00:54 Some other guys blocking for me, that's all that that was.
00:56 I just didn't catch the ball.
00:58 >> Rashid, have you guys had any communication with Derek?
01:01 >> Not yet, I have not talked to him yet.
01:02 >> What was the sentiment in the locker room after the game surrounding him?
01:07 >> After the game?
01:07 >> Yeah.
01:08 >> Like I said, I still haven't even seen him.
01:10 I haven't spoken much of it at all.
01:15 >> Rashid, how tough is it to just kind of regather everything after
01:19 starting quarterback goes down, everything's been kind of quick for you?
01:22 Do you have to kind of just restart again or something?
01:26 >> Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say restart.
01:28 We just knew that.
01:29 Of course, Derek going down is kind of devastating, of course.
01:34 But in that moment in the game, we knew that we had to finish,
01:37 no matter what quarterback was in, no matter who was in.
01:40 Next man up, it's how it is when we have.
01:42 We just wanted to bring the job down.
01:43 >> Rashid, what were maybe some of the conversations that were had on
01:45 the sideline when he made the allow?
01:48 >> Just to stay locked in, stay in the game, continue to trust the game plan.
01:51 Whenever your name, number was called, continue to make the play.
01:54 And we felt like we left our place out there.
