00:00 So we have the chair, if that makes sense.
00:05 Then we have a panel chair, which is also a judge, but they're the boss of the panel,
00:11 if that makes sense.
00:13 And then we have two other judges, and then we'll have two associate judges.
00:18 So the culmination of those scores, and of course the panel chair generally has the most
00:23 experience, and then the judges are in between, and then our associates are usually up and
00:29 coming judges.
00:31 So we have some young aromatic white wines and rosés that we're seeing from 2023, and
00:38 then some of your barrel-aged varieties, like your red varieties and Chardonnay, are generally
00:43 more 2022s, because they've been aged a little, and that's what we're judging currently.
00:50 And the wines are looking good.
00:51 It's kind of like boxes in terms of there is some concentration inside a weight, and
00:58 then the sun comes back, and it's like a structure, and then there are three, it's like a wine
01:06 space, in that one.
01:08 Yeah, structure.
01:09 Yeah, structure.
01:10 That's the aesthetic.
01:11 Wine shows are really about celebrating the best wines that are there, and the greatest
01:21 Chardonnay or the greatest Sauvignon Blanc or the greatest Riesling, irrespective of
01:25 variety, has great balance intensity, all those things I mentioned, but it has this
01:29 extra quality about it.
01:31 I think most importantly, it's delicious as well.
01:33 We're talking about a beverage that we want people to drink, so it has to be a great drink
01:40 first and foremost.
01:41 Being the chief of, the chair of judges last year, I think it's become apparent that that's
01:46 a really unfair title that the region should be carrying.
01:50 It does have potential, but that's already been recognised.
01:56 The wines of the region are superb, and are rightly showing not just at this regional
02:02 show, but at wider state-based shows and capital city shows.
02:08 They're shining amongst the best of the country.
02:11 Like I said, forget potential, the potential's been recognised, and it's on show here today
02:16 so far.
02:17 I guess, it wasn't a gate, it just exploded, like unleashed itself.
02:27 Is it clean?
02:28 It's good.
02:29 When you say the reduction, for me it's got that Pinot-esque edge, you know, or like orange
02:37 is here, and it's something that we're really excited to celebrate.
02:40 Right.
