00:00 - Man, a really good, tough, hard-fought victory, man,
00:02 all three phases.
00:04 It's good, man, to stack victories.
00:07 We got to make winning a habitual thing, man,
00:10 just to stack winning performance
00:11 on top of winning performance is significant.
00:13 But it's also our first opportunity to play on the road
00:16 in a hostile environment, this being their home opener.
00:19 We had to manage that component of the game.
00:22 There's opportunities for growth, obviously,
00:24 but I was really proud of the efforts and the playmaking.
00:29 We did what we needed to do, secure victory.
00:31 And so, still very early stages of the year, man.
00:33 We got a lot to learn, we got a lot to teach,
00:36 but it's good to do so with the victory.
00:38 You got some bumps and bruises associated with play.
00:41 Levi Wallace went out of the game.
00:42 Najee went out of the game.
00:44 Both guys were able to return.
00:47 I'm sure we'll have some other bumps and bruises to assess.
00:50 And I'll give you guys an update on Tuesday.
00:52 I'll pause and open up for questions.
00:53 - Mike, did you see progress in your offense?
00:56 - We won, yes.
00:58 - Specifically with the offense
00:59 and things that you liked?
01:01 - Yes.
01:01 - You said hostile environment,
01:04 but it seemed like it was almost a home game
01:06 with those thousands of fans.
01:07 - Well, you got to win the crowd.
01:09 You know what I mean?
01:10 You got to do enough to win the crowd.
01:11 And so, we don't take it for granted.
01:13 We got to make enough plays to get the type of support
01:17 that you speak of.
01:18 - Anyone else?
01:21 - Mike, what did you think of the way your quarterback played?
01:23 - Man, he made the necessary plays.
01:25 I thought he was good in the environment.
01:28 I thought he was a good communicator.
01:30 He did the job tonight.
01:33 - Were you surprised any good for him fourth down?
01:35 - No, and I don't worry about decisions
01:39 that others make, to be quite honest with you.
01:40 We got some ongoing decisions of our own to make,
01:43 usually in those moments.
01:44 - Do you feel like your guys on offense
01:46 can draw confidence off of the performance?
01:49 - We're not looking for confidence.
01:50 We're looking for victory.
01:52 That's what we came here to do tonight, and we did it.
01:55 - Defense making enough good plays for you
01:56 to keep this in the open?
01:57 - We can use a few more, you know?
01:59 I was really disappointed, man,
02:01 that fourth down and one touchdown,
02:02 but there's going to be things
02:05 that disappoint us in play, certainly.
02:07 - Mike, what did you think of the way your quarters rebounded?
02:09 Peterson, Wallace, those guys?
02:11 - They made the necessary plays, man.
02:13 They were competitive, obviously.
02:15 Can't say enough about Adams, man, and his talents,
02:19 and their willingness and ability to get him the ball.
02:22 It was a challenge tonight.
