00:00 There are thousands of children without a school place,
00:03 thousands that are pushed into mainstream
00:06 when they should be in a SEND setting,
00:08 and not enough teachers qualified
00:12 to look after our children with disabilities.
00:15 But the protests are obviously to make the public aware
00:19 of what is happening,
00:21 and to show how much we need a reform
00:26 and how many SEND schools are needed,
00:28 and autism schools.
00:30 It's absolutely heartbreaking.
00:33 You know, we really do feel like our children
00:35 are not given the same rights as other children
00:39 in mainstream schools.
00:42 If we were to turn this around
00:44 and say that there weren't enough mainstream schools
00:46 for mainstream children,
00:48 there would be an absolute uproar.
00:51 And unfortunately, because our children are disabled,
00:54 it just doesn't seem to be cared about as much,
00:58 and that is absolutely not okay.
