00:00 the next generation of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.
00:04 Now these are designed so you can stay in the moment
00:07 and stay connected without having to take your phone out.
00:09 You can capture what's going on around you.
00:11 You can share with your friends and the world.
00:15 The cameras are a lot better,
00:16 so the images and videos that you capture are a lot clearer.
00:19 The audio is a lot better,
00:22 so when you're listening to music or podcasts
00:24 or taking calls, that's a lot better.
00:27 They're lighter, they're more comfortable,
00:29 and there are a lot more styles too.
00:32 But the most interesting thing about this
00:34 isn't any of those specs.
00:37 It's that these are the first smart glasses
00:41 that are built and shipping with Meta AI in them.
00:45 So, let's say you're grilling with your family
00:47 and you wanna know how long you need
00:50 to be cooking that chicken for.
00:52 Or you're playing pickleball and hits the line
00:57 and you wanna know if that's a fault.
00:59 She disagrees, but you know the truth.
01:03 Starting next year, we're gonna be issuing
01:06 a free software update to the glasses
01:08 that makes them multimodal.
01:09 So the glasses are gonna be able to understand
01:11 what you're looking at when you ask them questions.
01:13 So, or if you want to translate a sign
01:16 that's in front of you to know what it's saying.
01:18 Basically just talk to Meta AI and look at it
01:21 and it'll walk you through it step by step how to do it.
01:23 I think that smart glasses are gonna be
01:25 an important platform for the future.
01:27 You know, not only because they're the natural way
01:30 to put holograms in the world,
01:32 so we can put digital objects in our physical space,
01:35 but also because if you think about it,
01:37 smart glasses are the ideal form factor
01:40 for you to let an AI assistant see what you're seeing
01:43 and hear what you're hearing.
01:44 Before even any of these AI advances came up,
01:46 we'd started planning this product.
01:48 And before all of that, we built in one more feature
01:52 into these smart glasses that we thought
01:55 would be pretty awesome.
01:56 And that is that for the first time,
01:58 you are going to be able to live stream
02:01 to your friends and followers from your glasses.
02:06 - Hey Meta, call Charles.
02:09 - Calling Charles on WhatsApp.
02:11 - Hey Rocco.
02:12 - Ciao Charles, how you doing?
02:13 - All good, and you?
02:14 - Good, good, did you get the glasses we sent you?
02:17 - Yeah, I'm trying the glasses now for the first time.
02:20 - I can't wait to see your point of view.
02:22 - Thanks to you Rocco, it was great to catch up
02:24 and I'm going to take this for a test drive now, ciao.
02:27 (crowd cheering)
02:30 - Hey Meta, take a video.
02:32 - Let's try some music.
02:36 (upbeat music)
02:39 (upbeat music)
02:42 - We are here live at the track.
02:58 Everybody is ready to race and I am getting ready too.
03:02 Let's go.
03:04 - Switching to glasses.
03:05 (upbeat music)
03:07 (upbeat music)
03:10 - Hey Meta, if I became a race car driver,
03:28 what would my nickname be?
