00:30 That's it from me, have a great day and we'll see you tomorrow.
00:32 Hey it's Alistair from Sheffield Star, we're out here today to ask people about, well there's been a bit of a spike nationally as far as Covid cases go,
00:40 still small but they are going up by and large. What do you think we should do if Covid cases continue to rise, what's your response to that?
00:47 I think just keep going, like it may be a cold.
00:51 Yeah, everyone's been vaccinated so all the precautions have been put in place and not much else you can really do about it.
00:58 Back in the day of course there were, there were a number of things they took they did like mask mandatory,
01:02 there was the two metres apart kind of rule, group to six, lockdown for heaven's sake.
01:07 If any of that should come back in force or is it about personal responsibility?
01:12 I think personal responsibility, but I think the most thing you probably do is ask them to wear masks again, I don't think that would be a good response to it.
01:20 I don't think there's any need for any sort of social distancing to come back because most people have had it before so most people have dealt with it and they need to get over it.
01:31 We're out here today to talk to people about, well nationally there is a statistic that Covid cases may be back on the rise again,
01:37 it's still quite small all things considered but they are going back up again a little bit.
01:42 What response do you think there should be if cases continue to rise?
01:45 I think it's important to keep it like thinking this is similar to another flu and that we need to kind of treat it that way,
01:55 but also there seems to be certainly, I know a lot more people that are vulnerable to Covid and like have long Covid,
02:04 so something that addresses like the impact of what a return in Covid could have specifically to like this group of vulnerable people, I think it's very important.
02:16 Let's say there were a number of measures during the height of the pandemic, there was masks, there was lockdown, there was two minutes of face mask,
02:24 should any of that come back in or is it just about good hygiene and being mindful for example?
02:29 I think it should be about people being more mindful, like people are used to wearing masks,
02:35 people will, I think if people have colds, if people feel ill, like it's courtesy to keep away from other people,
02:43 but we don't know who might be vulnerable, we don't know who could be affected by it more and like maybe to wear a mask.
02:50 And I think that Covid kind of raised that awareness a bit more about looking after each other.
