00:00 I would never have gotten into acting
00:02 if it wasn't something like the kid with the prosthetic.
00:05 Who here wants to be on camera?
00:09 So you never had been an actor before.
00:11 You never necessarily had interest in acting.
00:14 What was it about this show that you said, yeah,
00:16 that's like a thing I'd want to do?
00:17 Just to spread awareness.
00:19 It's a great way to inform people.
00:21 I guess that makes sense.
00:23 We have episodes that are about Josh's prosthetic,
00:25 about it breaking, or about him adapting.
00:27 In some ways, I'm most proud of our episodes
00:29 where it's barely mentioned.
00:31 He plays soccer.
00:32 He's very enthusiastic.
00:34 He reads a lot of self-help books.
00:36 And he has one leg.
00:36 And he has one leg.
00:38 Guys, listen.
00:39 I want to make friends because they like me,
00:41 not because they feel bad for me.
00:43 Hey, guys.
00:43 It's Logan Marmino.
00:44 And the great thing about this show and the crew
00:47 is that there are so many different voices that
00:49 represent everybody.
00:50 So why don't we go meet some of those people?
00:53 This is Miss Nandi.
00:54 One of the forced 80s.
00:57 I'm Reggie Jr. Jr.
00:58 And who am I?
01:00 You're Romy Sr. Sr.
01:01 That's right.
01:02 Yo-Yo, what is your job like?
01:04 And what do you do?
01:05 I put watches on him.
01:07 I put things in people's hands.
01:10 Pretty cool job.
01:11 Thanks.
01:12 I'd like to introduce you to Kaya, our production
01:14 accessibility coordinator.
01:16 Yeah, so as the PAC, I do a lot of stuff
01:19 that's sort of like disability and accessibility together.
01:22 I get to hang out with Josh and you a lot
01:25 when we're doing things that are leg-involved
01:27 or crotch-involved.
01:29 Do you want to see the sensory room?
01:31 I always want to be in the sensory room.
01:34 If you've got a headache, you can hang out up here.
01:36 If you have sensory issues and you
01:39 need a place with low light and not a lot of sound,
01:42 all that's up here.
01:43 That's so cool.
01:45 I think they're calling me back down to set.
01:46 All right, go for it.
01:47 Bye.
01:49 So today on set, we are doing the Halloween showcase scene.
01:53 And they're actually doing it right now behind me.
01:57 And this is my Gingerbread Man costume.
02:00 Run, run, run as fast as I can.
02:03 You can't catch me on the Gingerbread Man.
02:07 [GASPS]
02:09 Somebody grab me a doctor or at least a glass of milk.
02:15 I love this scene where Josh gets
02:17 to feel like he can go to school without a leg on.
02:21 And everybody was like cheering for him.
02:23 [CHEERING]
02:24 Awesome.
02:25 The first scene that I got to do in episode six,
02:29 Josh's leg has broken at Halloween.
02:32 I wrote most of that scene myself personally.
02:35 And what an amazing experience it
02:37 was to write a scene that I was going to perform talking
02:42 to basically my younger self.
02:45 I used to never leave my house without a prosthesis on.
02:48 I didn't go in public without one until after college.
02:51 Being able to shoot that scene in a moment
02:53 in Josh the character's life when he's so
02:55 vulnerable on Halloween was so intense and meaningful
02:59 and emotional.
03:00 And it's given me an even deeper appreciation
03:02 of all the elements and all the people
03:04 that it takes to make a show like this happen.
03:07 All right, bring it in.
03:08 Let's hear it.
03:09 Go Pirates!
03:12 Go Pirates!
03:14 Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed.
03:17 [MUSIC PLAYING]
03:21 (dramatic music)
