00:00 The Gilas Filipinas women's team won their Asian Games debut in their home country of Kazakhstan this Wednesday night, 83-59 in the Xiaoxing Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.
00:13 First for the team, Janine Pontejos scored 21 points, which is equivalent to 73 point shots. The Gilas lost a 23-9 second quarter to distance themselves from Kazakhstan, and they continued to fight to get their first win.
00:30 This Friday, the women's team will face Hong Kong at 1.30pm in the Xiaoxing Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium.
