00:00 much what you guys look forward to.
00:01 >> Absolutely, we have a culture, we're trying to build a culture here of being
00:06 able to sack a quarterback, get him in the long yardage situations and drives and
00:11 being able to take the ball away and give it back to our offense.
00:13 So our offense has more possessions to try and score.
00:15 And that's really, when you look at football games,
00:17 if you win a turnover battle, you got a great chance to win a game.
00:20 >> Even when you don't get home, the pressures, how much do you see that maybe
00:24 affect quarterbacks later in games after guys like TJ and Alex get home early?
00:28 >> I think when you watch the quarterbacks, you see them move and
00:30 they start feeling that rush.
00:32 And the feet get a little hot, maybe a little bit,
00:34 just makes the throws just a little bit less accurate.
00:37 And that thing, it's like if you have a big back and
00:40 you're pounding the big back at the end of the game, you start feeling all of a sudden,
00:43 those three yard runs become five and six yard runs.
00:45 And it's the same thing with a pass rush.
00:47 We're getting hits on them, we're getting home,
00:49 then the quarterback gets a little bit antsy because he doesn't wanna hit them.
00:52 >> Is that like a zero sum thing?
00:53 I know you'd rather do both.
00:55 But you'd rather, you can go a couple more yards, but you're hitting more turnovers.
00:58 Is that the kind of defense you wanna be known as more so than limiting the yards?
01:02 >> I don't wanna limit us on anything.
01:04 I want us to be a complete defense, and we got a long way to go there.
01:08 But our guys are really working at it.
01:11 Each week, I think we've gotten better, and that's really what we want.
01:14 Our big thing in our room is to make sure we focus on us and what we do,
01:18 not so much on what everybody else, who we're playing against.
01:21 Because they don't affect the outcome of how we prepare and
01:25 how we play, and that's really been our focus with our guys.
01:28 Hey, let's get our room right.
01:29 Let's do the things that we can do and the things that we can control.
