In another tragic, rather shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl died after she was allegedly removed from hospital by the hospital staff after treating her for two days. The girl died right outside the hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri.
The girl was admitted to Radha Swami Hospital on Tuesday after she complained of high fever. The authorities have suspended the licence of the Radha Swami Hospital and the hospital premises were sealed on Thursday. The family has alleged that the girl was given wrong treatment at the private hospital.
In a viral video, the girl was seen being held by family members on a motorbike. After they realised that the girl was dead, the family members were seen crying. The clip shows a man and a woman, possibly staff members, going back up the stairs of the hospital. They had apparently brought her outside up to her relative's motorcycle.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who handles the state’s health department, has ordered action against the private hospital on Thursday. The District’s Chief Medical Officer R C Gupta has said that according to the information with him, the girl was the student of class 12th. She was brought to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon after she complained of fever.
According to her family members of the girl, the condition of the girl deteriorated on Thursday. The family members have alleged that the condition of the girl deteriorated after she was administered wrong treatment. The family members have also alleged that instead of shifting the girl to a different hospital, the staff of the hospital brought the girl out and then fled. The girl died shortly after being removed from the hospital.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated on X handle that, “Such incidents will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strictest action will be taken against the culprits.” Further, a two-member committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of ACMO for a detailed investigation of the case. The state government has also sought a report from the Chief Medical Officer in the matter within a week. The hospital’s registration has also been cancelled.
According to reports, the police have received no complaints from the family yet, and an FIR will be registered as soon as the family files a complaint.
