Pooh Bear's Corner sign opening

Tim the Yowie Man was invited to the opening of the new Pooh Bear's Corner sign opening on the Clyde Mountain. Here is his on-the-ground report as everyone celebrates - including a Pooh Bear and Piglet or two

00:00 So are you surprised at how much interest the sign has created?

00:07 Yeah, it's obviously very sentimental to both kids and their parents and their grandparents.

00:12 It's something I guess travellers up and down the highway to Canberra and to the coast have

00:16 seen for many years.

00:17 So it's great to have an association come on board and do this, you know, I guess alongside

00:21 council but it's been great to see the feedback from everyone online as well.

00:26 And just in time for the warmer weather.

00:28 Yeah, it's obviously very busy today on the road and it's going to be a great weekend,

00:32 obviously very hot, so everyone get down from Canberra and come and visit the coast.

00:37 And what do you think of the job that Naroom and Men's Shed have done?

00:41 The Men's Shed, obviously Community Shed, it's fantastic that David and Rose and the

00:46 whole team there have come on board, partnered up with council I guess to get this project

00:50 underway and to deliver it so quickly.

00:53 And now we've got a template going into the future so we can get it up here quicker if

00:56 something does happen.

00:57 Hopefully that won't.

00:58 Never, hopefully.
