Warrnambool Basketball Association's Jack Huxtable and councillor Otha Akoch say the city needs to upgrade its stadium.

00:00 Warrnambool just needs an upgrade. It's been 20 years of the stadium since we've had an upgrade.

00:06 We're running out of room on the basketball side, need more courts, better adequate change rooms, better facilities.

00:13 Our Premier teams are getting changed in foyers or on courts.

00:17 And juniors, we're running out. We've got 9-10 year olds playing until 7.30 at night.

00:22 So more courts and better facilities are definitely needed.

00:26 I say Warrnambool deserves a better sport facility.

00:32 Seahawks is one of the best teams in the region and yet we don't have a facility that can make it better.

00:42 All the sport we need to encourage, not only basketball but netball and all this sport, to keep a healthy community and healthy generation.
