00:00 Did you see George and them all already?
00:01 Oh, really?
00:02 Did I?
00:03 I mean, it's raining and cloudy and she's just looking like a snow angel.
00:06 I know.
00:07 And her massage, and then he's down in there hanging out with folks, taking pictures.
00:10 I know, he went down to say hello.
00:12 But this is actually one of the nicest events, Rachel.
00:14 I mean, it really means something.
00:16 You know, you get to get dressed up and look good and everything, but you think about why
00:19 we're here.
00:20 Yeah.
00:21 You go, okay, these guys are serious.
00:23 Isn't it nice to sing the unsung heroes?
00:26 Yeah, it is.
00:27 Yes, yes, yes.
00:28 And that is what they do all the time.
00:29 So that's why I'm here.
00:30 That is wonderful.
00:31 Late, up late on a school night.
00:32 I know, I was going to say, you've got to be up early tomorrow morning.
00:33 Yes, yes, yes.
00:34 Now, something that has been much talked about here recently is that Apple TV+ supermodel
00:40 stock.
00:41 Now, it is getting lots of love, but at the same time, Cindy Crawford, she shares a story
00:47 of the very first time that she was on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and she says that it wasn't
00:51 necessarily a positive experience.
00:53 When you look at it through today's eyes, when Oprah's like, "Stand up and show me your
00:58 body.
00:59 Like, show us why you're worthy of being here."
01:03 In the moment, I didn't recognize it.
01:05 Only when I looked back at it and I was like, "Oh my gosh, that was so not okay, really."
01:10 Have you heard the talk about Cindy's experience on-
01:12 I've heard it, but I haven't seen it and I want to see it.
01:15 But I'm surprised and a little disappointed because I know Cindy's been on our show many,
01:20 many times, and it has always been a pleasant experience.
01:24 I would hate to think that something that happened years ago, and number one, I don't
01:28 know quite what it is.
01:30 I have to see it.
01:31 But basically, she was with John Casablanca in the interview in 1986, and at one point,
01:38 Oprah tells her to get up.
01:39 Did she always have this body?
01:42 Stand up just a moment.
01:43 Now, this is what I call a bod.
01:45 Sure, it would be, "Hey, you look so great."
01:48 I can't imagine Oprah would want anybody, Cindy or anybody, to say, "Here, stand up.
01:53 Let us take a look at you."
01:55 It's not Oprah's thing to humiliate or make anybody feel badly, but as far as I know,
02:01 everything is good between Oprah and Cindy.
02:03 And Oprah hasn't brought it up to you?
02:06 Not that way, no.
02:07 Got you.
02:08 Well, you can tell us this.
02:10 How about you have an upcoming sit-down that will be airing with Mr. Ed Sheeran?
02:13 Oh my gosh.
02:14 Rachel, I just came from the studio with him.
02:17 Really?
02:18 Yes.
02:19 And he's asked me to do something that my lips are sealed.
02:22 You're singing again, Gayle.
02:23 I was in the studio with Ed Sheeran, that's all I'm going to say.
02:27 But his new album comes out tomorrow, Friday, Friday, Autumn Variations.
02:31 It's the first one on his own record label, and it means a lot to him.
02:35 So I'm really excited.
02:36 That is incredible.
02:37 What did you find most revealing about him in your conversation?
02:41 You know, this is the thing.
02:42 He's very open, he's very honest.
02:43 He had a very difficult year last year, and so music came out, Subtract came out, and
02:48 now this.
02:49 It's unusual that you find an artist of his stature that puts out two albums in one year,
02:54 back to back.
02:55 But, you know, when Ed writes music, he says his therapy for him, as a lot of artists do,
03:01 but this album is very different than anything he's ever done.
03:04 And he also says-
03:05 He said he wanted to set a mood, and he did that very nicely.
03:08 He is a mood.
03:09 It's great.
03:10 I love his music.
03:11 What does he say the term "pop star" does not settle well with him?
03:15 Really, because I just did an interview where he said being a pop star doesn't bother him
03:19 at all.
03:20 So he likes the term "pop star."
03:21 Yes.
03:22 He goes, "I don't run away from that."
03:23 I love that.
03:24 Yes, he said, "No, I don't run away from that."
03:27 People say, "Oh, pop star, pop star."
03:28 He goes, "No, I embrace it."
03:30 So he's taken ownership of the term "pop star."
03:32 Oh yes, very much so.
03:33 Very much so.
03:34 Ed Sheeran is very comfortable in his own skin.
03:35 He knows what he's doing.
03:36 And so is Gayle King.
03:38 I try to be.
03:39 I try to be.
03:40 I try to be.
03:41 I try to be.
03:41 I try to be.
03:42 I try to be.
