00:00 And her opponent, fighting in the red corner, Andrea Bontemps!
00:07 [crowd cheering]
00:10 >> You got the full potential of a rocker woman in the corner.
00:13 You know what I expect.
00:14 Test gloves if you want to, and now go back to the corners.
00:17 >> Hey, have some fun.
00:20 Show them what you're about.
00:21 Let's go.
00:22 >> It is time, gentlemen.
00:23 Look at the intensity on both ladies' faces.
00:25 Round one, here we go.
00:27 [music]
00:34 >> We danced in the moonlight, held hands in the power.
00:44 We strode by the river and kissed in the dark.
00:52 Now I can't wait until tomorrow night.
00:59 It's a miracle moment of love.
01:13 [music]
01:19 >> Oh, my God.
01:31 >> Again.
01:33 Again.
01:34 Relax and relax and do it.
01:36 >> I messaged so many coaches in the city of Los Angeles to work with me, and many of them said no.
01:43 And ironically, the one person who said, I'll give you a shot is a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist.
01:49 >> Please welcome Sunderland's very own Tony Jeffries.
01:54 >> The highest profile boxer we've ever had in the Northeast winning an Olympic medal.
01:58 He's back and looks better than ever.
02:00 >> He's the perfect resume of a person you do not want to F with.
02:05 When I think of Tony Jeffries, I am extremely intimidated.
02:10 >> I had 106 fights in my career, right?
02:13 And I've done the maths.
02:14 If I averaged out around four rounds for each fight and I got punched in the face seven times in each one of them rounds,
02:20 and then for each one of them fights, I sparred ten times, six rounds, got punched in the face seven times in each one of them rounds,
02:26 I got punched in the face around 45,000 times.
02:30 How crazy is that?
02:31 Isn't it?
02:37 Let's go try.
02:39 That was a sloppy punch.
02:40 A sloppy punch.
02:41 Think about this.
02:42 So get in your stance.
02:43 So which hand is closer to me?
02:46 This one.
02:47 It's got less distance to travel.
02:48 So with you trying to throw a big wild right hook and you can't even land this one, chances are that one's not going to land.
02:55 >> Okay.
02:56 >> So try and get your range with your left hand with your jab.
02:58 Once you start getting some range shots in, then we can throw that one.
03:01 >> Okay.
03:02 Cool.
03:03 >> Yeah.
03:04 >> So fast left hand.
03:05 That's it.
03:06 Good.
03:10 So when I train someone for the very first time, I take them over the basics of boxing, the stance, the movement, the footwork, and some basic punches to see where they are.
03:20 >> One, two.
03:21 One, two.
03:23 >> Oh, wait, am I supposed to move out of the way?
03:25 >> If you see a punch coming or something coming at you, you've got to move.
03:28 It's boxing.
03:29 You've got to defend yourself at all times.
03:30 You know that.
03:31 >> The hardest part for Michelle is going to be the dedication.
03:34 >> More power, more power.
03:35 >> This is going to be so, so hard for her.
03:37 She's going to be waking up at 5 a.m.
03:39 She's going to be coming to the gym when she's sore and doesn't feel like coming to the gym.
03:44 >> Give me more speed and power.
03:46 >> She's got to focus her time and energy on recovery outside of training.
03:50 >> Punch through that.
03:51 That's what I want.
03:52 >> She's going to dedicate her full life to the sport of boxing for the next 12 weeks.
03:57 I'm excited to see if she can get through it.
04:00 >> Two, time.
04:02 [bell ringing]
04:04 >> Well done.
04:05 Good.
04:07 >> Let's get ready to rumble!
04:10 >> A few years ago, there was this emergence of influencer boxing events
04:14 really championed by Jake and Logan Paul and KSI and Deji.
04:18 >> Jake Paul, Logan Paul, bring it!
04:21 >> And I feel that I've been kind of running away from this whole influencer boxing thing.
04:27 >> The first fight come around, and I thought, "What is this?"
04:32 [bell ringing]
04:34 >> 20,000 sold out instantly.
04:37 [crowd cheering]
04:38 >> He defended his title on the undercard of two YouTube guys fighting.
04:43 >> There's a fight response and a flight response.
04:45 For a long time, I've had the flight response.
04:48 But I think it's time for me to conquer that.
04:50 I want to grow that fighter within me.
04:54 >> Tony has agreed to do a 12-week fight camp with me,
04:57 which means I have 12 weeks to find an opponent and get accepted into one of these events.
05:02 >> Also, you got married. Congratulations.
05:03 That's going to be a video, I assume, at some point.
05:05 >> Yeah, yeah.
05:06 >> So cool.
05:07 >> And then outside of that, I am looking for a competitor.
05:11 >> For what?
05:12 >> For boxing.
05:13 So if anybody is a YouTuber, female, 5'2", 115 pounds...
05:20 >> This is sick.
05:22 >> Let's see if we're fighting. You throw a hook to me, and I block this.
05:25 Boom.
05:26 >> Whoo!
05:27 >> Yeah. So this is one of my favorite combinations.
05:29 We're hooked to the full body widths behind that one.
05:31 Do it.
05:32 Oh, feel that. That was solid.
05:34 Again.
05:36 Yes. Again.
05:38 That's the hardest you've ever hit.
05:40 >> If I'm going to prove to a promoter that I'm worthy of a slot on their card,
05:43 I'm going to have to transform my entire lifestyle to that of a professional boxer.
05:47 And I've done it a couple times before with ballet, figure skating.
05:51 But this time, it's for boxing, and I'm going all in.
05:54 >> I suck.
05:55 >> This means training six days a week in the gym, sometimes two a day,
05:59 coming home, doing recovery, ice baths,
06:01 having a professional chef prepare all of my meals to the perfect macro and caloric amounts.
06:06 It means canceling all of my social plans for the next three months.
06:09 It means waking up early.
06:11 It means dealing with the pain when it comes.
06:14 And it means putting my best foot forward every morning.
06:17 And so I've actually put all of those details, including my meal plan,
06:21 every single workout that I did, in my app on mkfit.com.
06:25 >> Still good?
06:26 >> Mm-hmm.
06:28 We're getting ready for my first sparring session.
06:33 I think it's going to be quite intense.
06:36 I'm very nervous.
06:41 >> I'm not even breathing.
06:43 >> Good?
06:44 >> Yeah.
06:45 >> All right, come here.
06:46 So Michelle's first sparring session is going against Heather,
06:49 who is one of the trainers at Boxing Burn Gyms.
06:52 And Heather's got a lot of experience.
06:54 And I think she's got like 20 pounds of weight on Michelle.
06:58 >> It's been a while since I've been hit in the head pretty hard like this.
07:03 So I think it's going to be pretty shocking because it's inevitable, right?
07:08 >> We're about a month into training, and this is the first time she's getting in there.
07:11 I know she's very nervous.
07:13 But again, we're in here to learn, not here to hurt each other
07:16 and try and knock each other out.
07:18 We've got four three-minute rounds.
07:20 All right?
07:21 Three, two, one.
07:22 >> Wait, quick, sorry, sorry.
07:23 Are there any other like rules or things we need to know?
07:27 >> No. >> That's it?
07:28 Okay. >> Just boxing.
07:29 Hands up.
07:30 Hit and not be hit.
07:31 Work time, let's go.
07:38 The first time you step in the ring to spar with another opponent,
07:41 you've normally got a lot of nerves going through your body.
07:43 Sometimes you'll be self-doubt, kicking and thinking,
07:45 "Why the hell am I doing this? This person's going to punch me in the head."
07:48 Keep moving and feinting.
07:51 Good.
07:53 Keep that left hand high.
07:54 If you drop your left hand, you'll get caught.
07:57 Hands up, hands up.
07:59 Keep moving.
08:01 Good work, good work.
08:02 >> Good work.
08:03 >> Get in the corner.
08:04 Deep breaths.
08:05 Deep breaths.
08:09 As the roundup went on, you got better as you got older.
08:12 Just stay relaxed, yeah?
08:17 Now think about this.
08:18 She's jabbing her hands down here.
08:20 You can hit with that right hand,
08:21 but you need to bring your hands back to your face.
08:24 If you're off on her jab and it's coming down there, she's going to counter.
08:27 Bring them back to your face.
08:28 Stay relaxed.
08:30 Deep breaths.
08:31 Ten seconds.
08:35 Work time.
08:37 >> That right hand needs to still.
08:39 >> It doesn't matter how good you look on the mitts.
08:42 You step in the ring and face another opponent,
08:45 completely different bucket.
08:47 The training is one thing,
08:48 but applying the training in a fight or flight situation
08:51 where you are going to get hurt if you don't move on a split second notice,
08:56 those are two separate things.
08:58 >> Michelle, you're being predictable.
08:59 Keep moving.
09:00 That's cool.
09:01 Get that moving in.
09:02 You're fit.
09:03 You're strong.
09:05 >> Are you good?
09:07 Are you good?
09:10 I'm sorry.
09:11 Take a beat.
09:12 Take a beat.
09:13 >> Relax, relax, relax.
09:14 >> I'm okay.
09:15 >> I know you are.
09:16 Come here.
09:17 Relax.
09:18 Relax.
09:19 We have two minutes.
09:20 Michelle started dropping her hands,
09:21 and once she dropped her hands,
09:22 Heather threw a perfect overhand right and knocked Michelle down.
09:27 Deep breaths.
09:28 Is your head all right?
09:30 >> I guess.
09:31 I'm not sure.
09:33 >> Deep breaths.
09:35 Can you see?
09:36 Do you see a black flash there?
09:38 You did?
09:39 >> I mean, I closed my eyes.
09:40 I don't know.
09:41 >> That's all good.
09:43 All right, we're done.
09:44 >> Okay.
09:46 >> Thanks, Heather.
09:47 >> Thank you, Michelle.
09:55 I'm sorry.
09:56 >> Don't be sorry.
09:57 It's all good.
09:58 It's all about learning.
09:59 It's all about learning.
10:00 You're just learning shit from there.
10:02 Deep breaths.
10:03 Let's sit on the side of the ring.
10:04 You know, being knocked down in a fight,
10:07 in a sparring session,
10:08 that can really break someone's heart
10:11 and break them mentally.
10:13 It was a little bit hard,
10:14 but this is boxing,
10:16 and, you know, it's all part of it.
10:22 The good thing about that is we've got things to work on.
10:24 We know what we're going to work on.
10:25 Let's get first real boxing that we've done.
10:30 And this girl's been boxing since she was, like,
10:32 10 years old or whatever, you know?
10:44 Let's go for a little walk.
10:45 I'll tell you.
10:46 Let's go.
10:47 Now the big thing is what will Michelle do?
10:50 How will she react to this?
10:52 Will she quit?
10:53 Will she think this was a mistake?
10:54 Or will she come back and finish off the 12 weeks of training?
10:59 It didn't give Michelle a hard time.
11:00 She did all right.
11:03 It was so frustrating putting so much time and effort into training
11:08 and then feeling like it all amounted to nothing.
11:11 None of my combos were working.
11:13 I was fatigued, and I was so embarrassed
11:17 because I got dropped in what was supposed to be a friendly spar,
11:21 especially because I'm trying to prove to Tony and to promoters
11:25 that I deserve a spot on a real fight card.
11:28 And this was the first time I genuinely considered just quitting altogether.
11:33 How's your head now?
11:34 Good?
11:35 Yeah.
11:36 Clear?
11:37 Yeah.
11:38 All right, let's get in the ring.
11:41 Now let me ask you this.
11:42 Do you want to continue this 12-week program,
11:44 or do you want to stop and quit?
11:45 No, I want to keep going.
11:46 Of course you do.
11:47 You're a fighter, a warrior.
11:50 Of course you do.
11:52 Boom.
11:54 How's it feeling?
11:59 So I'm helping Michelle catch these chickens because Rocky done it.
12:02 And if you've ever seen the Rocky movie, he was really good,
12:05 and I want Michelle to be really good too.
12:07 Give me power, give me power.
12:08 Let's do it.
12:09 Go, go, go, go, go, go.
12:11 This one's an absolute killer.
12:18 No, not--
12:20 I've never met a boxer before who's scared of chickens.
12:23 I got it.
12:25 Literally none of the training I'm doing matters if I can't get on a fight card.
12:29 I've had a few very promising calls.
12:31 There are a couple different organizations that are interested.
12:33 Hey, we got an offer from Misfits.
12:35 I just want to check with you before we take it.
12:37 But I just need to find this opponent.
12:40 A lot of the issue for me with creator clash is just finding an opponent who,
12:44 in general, wants to do this with me.
12:46 The reality is finding a fight for me has been the most frustrating
12:52 and difficult part of this entire thing.
12:55 I am a 5'2" female social media influencer, boxing hopeful,
13:02 and finding someone who also fits all of those categories is really hard.
13:07 Time.
13:08 Yes.
13:10 Now I want to do it for real.
13:11 Ooh, ooh.
13:14 But the 12 weeks were up, and fight camp was officially over.
13:18 So for the next several months, I continued to search for an opponent,
13:21 and that's when I saw Ludwig's chess boxing event.
13:24 Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Mongol chess boxing championship.
13:29 And then when the chess boxing event happened in December,
13:32 I saw Andrea's fight against Dina, and I thought it was amazing.
13:36 Oh!
13:37 Good for Andrea.
13:38 And they went hard, too.
13:40 It was crazy.
13:41 Andrea is a chess expert who has built her entire social following on chess.
13:46 And so after the chess boxing thing, I was like, "Hmm.
13:49 We're, like, not perfect height and weight, but I wonder if she'd be into this."
13:53 So I actually called her.
13:55 I'm really, really excited to talk with you, first of all, obviously,
13:58 to congratulate you, and also I wanted to talk to you about Creator Clash.
14:04 So there's this up-and-coming event called Creator Clash,
14:06 which is actually centered around raising money for charity.
14:09 This announcement today has me more excited than I've been in a while.
14:12 iDubbbz and Anissa's Creator Clash just announced Creator Clash 2.
14:16 They showed the full card.
14:17 It's happening in April, and it's amazing.
14:19 When I heard about the mission and the people behind it,
14:22 this is what actually interested me the most about pursuing this video.
14:26 I have an opportunity to better myself, to challenge myself,
14:30 and also hopefully inspire people to donate to a good cause at the same time.
14:35 I've been talking to them for, like, nine months, honestly.
14:38 Oh, wow.
14:39 So even for, like, Creator Clash 1, I was hoping to participate.
14:45 Because you did a boxing video already, right?
14:47 Were you for 60 days, or how long was it?
14:49 So I trained technically for the first one, and then the fight didn't happen.
14:54 We should see if it would even be possible to add us into Creator Clash this year.
15:00 Yeah.
15:01 I hope it works.
15:02 Me too! That'd be so epic!
15:07 It's happening! It's happening!
15:10 I'm fighting in Creator Clash!
15:13 [screams]
15:15 I will be fighting Andrew Botez in Creator Clash 2.
15:18 [screams]
15:21 What are you going to wear?
15:22 I need your help.
15:24 But here's the thing.
15:26 Tony is becoming a nomad and traveling the world with his family.
15:32 We are leaving our lovely home in Los Angeles,
15:34 and I've just booked a one-way ticket to Thailand.
15:37 Now that the fight is secured, I have eight weeks to reassemble my team
15:42 and somehow bring this to the finish line without Tony.
15:45 Tony!
15:51 How's Europe?
15:53 Is that where you are still?
15:54 I'm in Africa right now.
15:56 Oh, my God, I saw your tweet that you're in Africa.
15:58 That's crazy!
16:00 So, mate, you're going to fight or what?
16:03 I'm going to do it, Tony.
16:05 That's exciting. So, I'm here for you.
16:08 I'm on your team, obviously, for everything.
16:11 And if there's any questions, anything at all,
16:14 you know, it's just a challenge.
16:16 Yeah.
16:17 Challenge accepted, right?
16:18 Oh, yeah.
16:19 I just wanted to say thank you for your belief in me.
16:22 And, like, when I think of, like, who I'm doing this for,
16:26 it's obviously for me, but it's for you.
16:30 Oh, man. I appreciate that. Thank you so much.
16:34 It means a lot.
16:36 So, if you're doing it for me, you better f***ing win.
16:38 I know.
16:40 My name's Kevin Watson, and I'm taking over for Tony.
16:49 Does that make you nervous?
16:51 Which part? The Tony part?
16:53 My relationship with Tony, we are business partners.
16:56 We opened the gym together in 2012,
16:59 and now we're like brothers.
17:01 Been through a lot together.
17:03 I've got big shoes to fill, and I hope that I fill them.
17:08 My reaction when Tony suggested and asked me
17:11 if I would take over the camp for Michelle was
17:13 I was really excited, nervous at first,
17:15 but I think I really got into coaching
17:17 because I wanted to be that great coach for somebody.
17:21 I never had anyone that really believed in me
17:23 and really pushed me to excel to that next level.
17:26 I want to be that person for somebody as well.
17:28 I'm so excited to be working with you.
17:31 Same. Feelings mutual. It's great.
17:34 We have the fight secured.
17:40 Eight weeks from today against Andrea Botez.
17:43 So, Andrea is four inches taller than me
17:46 and 20 pounds heavier than me.
17:48 How are we going to do this?
17:50 The size is with her, but we're going to be hard to hit.
17:53 Your movement is going to make it hard for you to be hit.
17:55 That movement is going to neutralize anybody,
17:57 and she's going to get tense.
17:58 She's going to throw these big, loofing shots.
18:00 She's going to get exhausted.
18:02 I'm now understanding you're going to be fighting someone
18:04 that's a little bit bigger than you.
18:05 Great. Let's maybe work on some strength and some power.
18:08 I need to get more confident fighting people bigger than me,
18:10 so I have the privilege of getting to spar with Hailey Sharp.
18:14 If you've seen Creator Clash, you know Hailey is a badass.
18:17 Period.
18:18 Possibly fight of the night was just a minx and yodeling Hailey.
18:21 Like, it was better than most everything.
18:24 She is actually a little bit taller and bigger than Andrea,
18:29 so it's a good opportunity for me to go against
18:31 an even more experienced and scarier opponent.
18:35 Go ahead, go ahead, Hailey. Relax a little bit. Good.
18:39 I am going to have to get very comfortable in the pocket.
18:42 Breathe, breathe, breathe. Just keep it simple. Simple, right?
18:45 The pocket is basically the radius space
18:48 between the opponent's body and the end of their fist.
18:51 So I'm basically going to have to get in here,
18:54 which is also the danger zone.
18:56 The plan is to teach Michelle how to get inside that pocket,
18:59 get in there, hit those body shots,
19:01 and then come up top with Michelle's overhand right.
19:03 It's a sledgehammer.
19:07 Have you ever had to fight someone four inches taller than you?
19:10 Yeah.
19:11 And 15 pounds heavier?
19:12 So I took a fight on four days' notice,
19:15 and she was probably about six foot tall.
19:18 And there's a picture of us, and it's like this.
19:20 Oh, my God. Look at the height difference.
19:24 Well, I won that fight in the first round,
19:26 so that's what we're in the ring for.
19:28 Our strategy is extremely high risk,
19:31 but also high reward if I can pull it off.
19:33 I either have to dodge a bunch of punches or eat a bunch of punches.
19:38 She's good, she's good, she's good, she's good.
19:45 Breathe, breathe, breathe. You all right?
19:47 You get back in there, breathe. Take two deep breaths, deep breaths.
19:51 Again, inhale, big inhale, control.
19:56 For me as a coach, this win, this fight,
20:00 means so much to me first and foremost
20:02 because to know that an event like this is supporting the longest day,
20:07 the Alzheimer's Association,
20:08 that was just the icing on the cake for me.
20:11 Who's on your phone background?
20:15 My phone background for the last eight, nine years has been my mom.
20:20 My mom has been the most amazing person in my life since day one.
20:25 In 2014, she was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's.
20:29 Even though she doesn't remember everything, she still fights.
20:34 It's just in her. It's in her DNA.
20:36 You're not letting this define you.
20:38 Absolutely not.
20:39 It's the worst to see someone's mind go.
20:43 They're still there, but they're not.
20:46 That's just an awful thing to see.
20:49 And to know that my mom's going to forget who I am
20:53 is like the worst thing I can imagine.
20:57 But we fight.
21:10 Sorry!
21:12 He's back.
21:13 How are you?
21:14 I'm so sweaty, sorry.
21:15 How are you feeling?
21:17 Ripped.
21:18 Look at that.
21:19 Tony is in LA for like 12 hours,
21:21 and amidst all of his world travel,
21:24 he has so kindly offered to come to the gym and train me for one hour today.
21:29 That's nice, mate.
21:30 I don't know if you did that intentionally,
21:32 but you threw a right hand left hook to the head,
21:34 and you threw the right hand left hook to the body.
21:36 She was expecting the left hook to the head.
21:38 Wow.
21:40 Wasn't expecting that.
21:45 This is the one hour I get with Tony of my fight camp before the actual fight,
21:48 so I'm going to make the most of it.
21:49 I'm so excited.
21:50 Always be prepared.
21:51 If she's moving back, always be prepared.
21:53 There.
21:57 One, two.
22:00 We're not going that way.
22:06 Do it.
22:08 Perfect. Good.
22:09 I can't hear you.
22:10 Do it again.
22:11 Yes, look, you've gone.
22:13 You've disappeared. Excellent. Good.
22:14 Jab.
22:15 Jab.
22:16 Now watch this.
22:20 So we're in fight.
22:21 Parry to the brick.
22:22 Step back.
22:23 See that there?
22:26 Yeah.
22:27 Right?
22:28 It's like right back in.
22:29 The referee's saying, "Brick.
22:30 "Brick, step back."
22:31 You're supposed to be here.
22:32 "Brick," you're supposed to step back,
22:34 and then get on with the boxing.
22:35 Yeah.
22:36 What she's going to do is the referee says,
22:38 "Brick, brick, you step back."
22:40 I'm coming forward, right?
22:42 Now what's going to happen,
22:44 the referee's going to say to you,
22:46 "Whoa, I told you, step back. Step back."
22:48 He's going to tell you off.
22:50 But now you're in her head,
22:52 like she doesn't even want to break.
22:54 She wants to fight.
22:55 Yeah.
22:56 You know what I mean?
22:57 And you're here like this.
22:59 You know?
23:01 Imagine what that's going to feel like.
23:03 She's going to be like, "Oh, f***.
23:05 "Michelle wants it."
23:07 Because this is what will give you the advantage.
23:10 Yeah.
23:11 The little things like that.
23:12 Good?
23:13 Yeah.
23:14 Psychology tricks.
23:15 Huge.
23:16 It was good work.
23:17 Thank you.
23:18 How are you feeling?
23:19 Good.
23:20 Sharp.
23:21 Sharp.
23:22 Very few mistakes.
23:23 Now there's something else.
23:25 What's that?
23:26 If your nose bleeds,
23:28 it's common for someone to do this.
23:31 Never do that.
23:32 I get...
23:33 My coach will go f***ing crazy
23:35 if I wipe my blood.
23:37 I'll look at that.
23:39 All it takes is boom, boom, boom.
23:41 I've been around boxing my whole life.
23:44 I've trained a lot of UFC fighters, athletes, boxers.
23:47 I honestly put my hand on my heart
23:49 and see how Michelle trains as hard,
23:51 if not harder, than anyone that I've ever worked with.
23:54 Now when she goes in and fights another creator,
23:57 she will win that fight.
23:59 She will definitely win that fight.
24:01 I'm telling you.
24:03 It's time to go to Tampa.
24:05 Oh my God.
24:07 Oh, no.
24:09 How are you doing?
24:17 Amazing. How are you?
24:19 This is Buckingham's house.
24:21 How are you doing?
24:22 Good.
24:23 You good?
24:24 Yes.
24:25 Good to see you.
24:26 The fight starts when you land.
24:28 Those mind games start right away.
24:30 That's the first time the fighters will see each other.
24:32 I think that's when a lot of the nerves start to set in.
24:35 You can kind of feel that anxiety.
24:37 You can feel that anxiousness.
24:39 It's just crazy that every interaction,
24:42 every moment is part of it.
24:45 How are you feeling?
24:46 There'll be a lot of anxiety in the room, for sure.
24:49 But the whole plan with this camp was to be confident
24:51 but not comfortable.
24:52 I know Michelle is going to be confident going in there.
24:56 Andrea released a video that has micro clips of her training.
25:01 You want to know how crazy I am?
25:04 We hired someone to watch every single one of her streams
25:08 and note any facts or mentions of the fight
25:13 or her training in any capacity.
25:15 I've seen everything.
25:17 And what's funny is that I know they're intentionally short,
25:20 but it reveals so much.
25:22 In the still image of her sparring,
25:24 we saw that her stance is more leaned over
25:27 and profiled to the right as opposed to forward facing.
25:30 But we've definitely made adjustments based on all of this.
25:34 [groans]
25:37 So [bleep]ing sick of eating.
25:41 This morning is the official weigh-in.
25:43 Andrea has to come down to 129,
25:46 and I have to make sure I am at least 120 pounds.
25:50 So we got chocolate chip pancakes,
25:52 breakfast burrito, and electrolytes here.
25:56 If we don't make weight within 10 pounds of each other,
26:00 then the fight is off.
26:02 So ironically, it doesn't matter how much either of us train
26:07 because this morning it's all about me eating these pancakes
26:11 and Andrea being in a sauna suit somewhere in this hotel.
26:15 [upbeat music]
26:20 Who's ready for some influencer boxing?
26:23 Creator Clash 2.
26:25 First up, Marisha Ray, Hailey Sharp.
26:28 Dad! Whoo!
26:31 Look at that.
26:33 Our next fighter is Michelle Kare.
26:37 Next up, we have Andrea Botes,
26:39 Ethan Nestor, John Hennigan, Harley,
26:44 and finally, last but not least, Ida.
26:47 All right, one big round of applause for all of our fighters
26:51 in the red corner, in the blue corner.
26:53 I think this face-off is very unique.
26:56 You're in a room with a bunch of different characters
26:58 from all walks of life. They're all huge personalities.
27:01 They know what it means to, um, to captivate an audience.
27:06 I'm gonna blow your back out, bro.
27:08 Not if I blow my own back out first.
27:11 Do you think this [bleep] caveman
27:13 who looks like an overgrown [bleep] hobbit,
27:16 do you think he'd actually stop for a second and be like,
27:19 "Maybe I cursed him when I said he's gonna die"?
27:22 Our next weigh-in, Michelle Kare.
27:24 During the weigh-in, Michelle, we know, is gonna be at 120.
27:28 Yeah, showing off the guns.
27:30 Michelle weighing in at 120 pounds.
27:33 Michelle is gonna be fighting Andrea Botes.
27:35 We'll get to see if Andrea comes in at 129. That's the plan.
27:39 If not, she's gonna have to cut some weight.
27:41 126 pounds.
27:43 Michelle, I got something for you.
27:45 Oh, oh, back.
27:47 For the face-off.
27:51 I hope you're ready to get knocked out by a little girl.
27:54 Guys, thank you so much for joining us today.
27:57 We cannot wait to have
27:59 an absolutely amazing set of fights tomorrow night.
28:02 So again, thank you guys all for coming in person.
28:04 Thank you guys all for watching at home.
28:06 And we will see you all tomorrow night.
28:08 www.thecan.com.
28:10 We got amazing access to this wonderful gym in St. Petersburg
28:14 via Ian and Anissa.
28:16 We're gonna get in our last workout before the fight.
28:19 Don't tell Andrea, but I've been having some issues with my ankle.
28:22 I rolled it when we were sparring one day.
28:25 It's all right? Good?
28:27 I think so.
28:28 We wanted to do both feet so that no one thinks,
28:31 "Hey, one ankle's worse than the other," so we taped up both feet.
28:34 I also got my fight braids done.
28:37 I figured it was a good idea to practice in it before performing in it.
28:41 So we're gonna just kind of be fine-tuning and testing all the little pieces.
28:46 As we go to the gym and we're training,
28:48 we're gonna have James, Tony, myself there,
28:50 and I'll be leading that session.
28:52 Good. Circle right. Nice.
28:54 I look up to Tony as a trainer and as a boxer a lot,
28:57 and so I'm really excited for him to kind of see what we've been working on.
29:00 It feels as if all of those rounds, all of that work,
29:03 all of that homework that we've put in,
29:05 I understand that, you know, she's been in good hands.
29:08 She's been sharp, ain't she?
29:10 [punching]
29:12 Good.
29:13 Yes! Lovely!
29:15 All eyes are gonna be on, and to kind of see and hear that chatter in the background,
29:19 that's gotta be a great feeling as a fighter.
29:21 Her footwork's insane.
29:22 Yeah, she's faster.
29:24 To go into a pro fighter gym and for all those coaches to take note,
29:28 I'm like, "Damn, this girl can crack."
29:30 Finish.
29:32 [laughs]
29:33 All right, things moving. A lot of things happening right now.
29:35 A lot of peripheral stuff happening. Stay focused.
29:37 It's gonna be just like this.
29:38 When you're cornering someone, you are not a safety net,
29:41 but you are a sense of security and safety for them.
29:44 You're that voice that they've been listening to.
29:46 I've never cornered anybody before, but now I'm cornering Michelle on fight night.
29:50 Definitely not nervous, but a little anxious.
29:52 After seeing that-- I mean, I wasn't worried before,
29:54 but after seeing that session there...
29:57 We're good. Yeah, we are. We're good.
29:59 So, you know, Tony's commentating for the fights,
30:02 and it's just gonna be James, myself, and Michelle in that corner.
30:05 We don't have the comfort of having an Olympian in the corner with us.
30:08 We gotta get the job done.
30:09 A lot of people think that boxing is a one-on-one, just solo sport,
30:13 but it is far from that.
30:15 You really need a strong team.
30:16 We're all there wearing T-shirts that support Michelle
30:20 and support what we're out there to do.
30:22 So we partnered with our friends at Yes Theory and Seek Discomfort
30:26 to produce our first-ever apparel line.
30:29 [gasps]
30:30 Damn, these look sick.
30:32 I've always believed that Challenge Accepted and Yes Theory
30:35 were two brands cut from the same cloth,
30:38 and now we are, literally.
30:40 And I think I'm gonna have our coaches wear these in the corner.
30:42 That would be amazing.
30:43 In the fight, when Michelle comes to the corner
30:45 and she sees us in those T-shirts and in those hats,
30:48 she knows, "Hey, my team's here."
30:50 I think there's gonna be a lot of comfort for her in that.
30:52 What has been the most unexpectedly challenging part about this?
30:55 Getting used to getting hit in the head.
30:58 It's very bizarre.
31:00 Like, that, for me, was my seeking discomfort in all of this
31:05 and to, like, find that inner warrior within myself.
31:08 This episode took over a year and a half of our team's efforts
31:12 to bring to life, and we explicitly chose to not have a sponsor in this video.
31:17 Therefore, we have decided to make all of the Challenge Accepted apparel
31:20 that you see in this video, including these limited-edition custom hand wraps,
31:25 available to you.
31:26 The seek discomfort icon is a lightning bolt,
31:29 and the Challenge Accepted icon is a star, which is hidden in the A.
31:33 And so we've put them next to each other on some of our favorite pieces of the collection.
31:37 If you are interested in being in our corner,
31:39 the best way you can support us is by checking out the apparel
31:42 with the link in the description.
31:44 She's gonna take a beating from you.
31:47 Listen, I'm not a meteorologist, but that might be the weather on set.
31:51 [cheering]
31:55 That is right, ladies and gentlemen.
31:58 We are back once again in beautiful sunny Tampa, Florida,
32:01 from the Amelie Arena, here for Creator Clash #2.
32:06 Backstage, prior to the fight, it's chaos.
32:11 [laughing]
32:17 There's so much happening, so many different people.
32:22 You've got superheroes and Avengers, and you've got mariachi bands,
32:25 just sensory overload.
32:27 But we knew we had to stay focused.
32:30 You can't get distracted.
32:31 You can't let all these different things going on distract you
32:34 from what you're there to do, and that's to win a fight.
32:37 It is the legendary, boxers-now-coach-himself,
32:47 Boxing Burn's finest, Tony Jeffries.
32:49 Tony, how you doing, man?
32:50 Mate, I'm so excited to be here.
32:52 Like you mentioned, the energy in this room is electric.
32:55 Just look at this arena.
32:56 Yeah, I can't believe it.
32:57 I boxed in the semifinals of the Olympic Games,
33:00 and it was nothing like this.
33:01 That just tells you how big--
33:03 This is a brawl. You've got to avoid that.
33:17 [indistinct chatter]
33:20 Oh.
33:21 You can't help but hear the audience.
33:23 And I could sense Michelle was getting kind of nervous,
33:26 and I knew, okay, I've got to keep her calm.
33:28 I've got to keep her, you know, relaxed.
33:30 And you won't be in this position.
33:32 She will be.
33:33 Before we wrap up, before we change or anything,
33:35 I want to get Michelle out there and make sure that she sees the audience
33:39 and just kind of gets those little bit of nerves out.
33:42 [crowd cheering]
33:46 [crowd cheering]
33:49 Not that bad, right?
33:54 Not that bad.
33:56 All good things.
33:58 [crowd cheering]
34:04 Fighting out of the blue corner,
34:10 Haley Sharp!
34:14 And already you see the feints and the jabs from Haley.
34:20 Comes out forward, nice right hand from Marisha.
34:23 Now we're trading a little bit here.
34:25 And there is the foul!
34:26 What a finish.
34:27 What a finish!
34:28 A favor by unanimous decision to Haley Sharp.
34:32 [crowd cheering]
34:35 Haley Sharp is your winner,
34:37 and she is now standing by with our in-ring interviewer, Kim.
34:42 Now, let me ask you this.
34:53 Do you want to continue this 12-week program,
34:55 or do you want to stop and quit?
34:56 No, I want to keep going.
34:57 Of course you do.
34:58 She's a fighter, a warrior.
35:00 Of course you do.
35:01 So many people want to stop now and quit.
35:03 So many people would have curled up after they got hit in the face.
35:05 And you, you've got it in you.
35:07 You've got it in you to be great.
35:08 And you will be great.
35:10 Alright.
35:11 Let's go.
35:12 Nice and relaxed.
35:13 Nice and relaxed.
35:14 We're gonna win.
35:16 Easy work.
35:17 This is it.
35:18 That's what we've been waiting for.
35:19 [crowd cheering]
35:24 Andrea Botez showing off the gun.
35:27 Her opponent, about to make her way in,
35:29 Michelle Karré.
35:32 [crowd cheering]
35:35 [music playing]
35:38 [crowd cheering]
35:41 [music playing]
35:44 [crowd cheering]
35:47 [music playing]
35:50 [crowd cheering]
35:53 [music playing]
35:56 [crowd cheering]
35:59 [music playing]
36:02 [crowd cheering]
36:05 [music playing]
36:08 [crowd cheering]
36:11 [music playing]
36:14 [crowd cheering]
36:19 Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner,
36:23 this YouTube's daredevil, Michelle Karré.
36:30 [crowd cheering]
36:32 And her opponent, fighting in the red corner,
36:35 Andrea Botez.
36:38 Michelle, you are a beast.
36:40 You're a little scary too, but I like it.
36:43 Come on, Michelle.
36:44 Look at her face.
36:46 The word of this moment is intense.
36:49 Hey, have some fun.
36:51 Show them what you're about.
36:52 It is time, gentlemen.
36:53 Look at the intensity on both ladies' faces.
36:55 Round one, here we go.
36:57 [crowd cheering]
37:00 Michelle bouncing on that lead foot.
37:02 Look at the turn.
37:03 This is an experience a boxer I'm seeing right now.
37:06 Nice jab from Michelle.
37:08 [inaudible]
37:09 Yeah, Michelle needs to be moving to her right
37:11 to reform her right hand.
37:13 Ooh, combination there from Michelle.
37:15 You see her footwork is on point.
37:17 Bouncing in and out of range, off that lead foot,
37:19 turning angles like Tony said, moving away from the power hand
37:22 here.
37:23 Andrea's in a fight here.
37:24 And she's handling an onslaught right now.
37:28 How do you turn the tide on something like that?
37:30 I'm not sure, but to my little smooth brain,
37:32 I can say for sure Michelle looks like a very experienced
37:35 fighter.
37:36 Look at that.
37:37 Andrea starts to cut the ring off of it versus Chasen.
37:41 [crowd cheering]
37:43 Charlie, I think it goes without a doubt by saying
37:45 this might be our most technical fight of the night so far.
37:48 It's looking that way.
37:49 Both fighters honestly have--
37:51 [crowd cheering]
37:52 That was a big right hand, probably the biggest shot
37:55 she's thrown all night.
37:56 Just missed with that--
37:57 [crowd cheering]
37:59 --is a nice right hand on the break there from Michelle.
38:02 [bell ringing]
38:03 I'm telling you, man, that was a great first round.
38:06 Amazing.
38:07 Amazing.
38:08 Amazing.
38:09 Great job.
38:10 Stay disciplined.
38:11 No problems, right?
38:12 Great job.
38:13 Got off the ropes a couple times.
38:14 Stay disciplined.
38:15 The clincher's going to work.
38:16 Push her.
38:17 Step back and look for that shot.
38:18 She's dropping her hands when you step back.
38:20 [whistle blows]
38:21 Let's go, champ.
38:22 Going into round two, we're going to be seeing more
38:24 physical warfare from both ladies.
38:25 A great fight so far.
38:27 Let's see what happens next.
38:29 [bell ringing]
38:30 Now, if you are Michelle, that right hand, she's gone to it
38:33 a couple times now.
38:34 Maybe starting to get a bit repetitive.
38:36 You want to start setting up a little better, Tony.
38:38 Yeah.
38:39 Yeah, she's just swinging that big right hand again.
38:41 Yeah.
38:42 A little bit of choice.
38:43 She is letting it fly.
38:44 Oh.
38:45 [music playing]
38:49 Andrea trying to stay in the middle of the ring here,
38:51 not give up that pressure, because this is what happens
38:53 when she does.
38:54 Andrea, she's not intimidated by this.
38:56 She's there for the fight.
38:57 No, she's standing there.
38:58 Round two.
38:59 Round two.
39:00 Round two.
39:01 Round two.
39:02 [shouting]
39:04 Beautiful footwork there from Michelle
39:06 to alleviate some pressure and then taps her with the right
39:08 hand out of it, Tony.
39:09 Andrea is either one shot or following up with a couple.
39:13 [music playing]
39:15 Last couple of seconds here, round number two.
39:17 [shouting]
39:19 A teardown from Michelle at the end of the round.
39:22 You want to talk about intense--
39:24 Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe.
39:25 Breathe.
39:27 Having fun?
39:28 Looks [bleep] great out there, right?
39:30 Doubles and triple those jabs, OK?
39:31 It's going to work.
39:32 Her hands are coming low now, all right?
39:34 That right hand is going to be there.
39:36 Follow with the hook.
39:37 Her right hand's really starting to come down.
39:39 Stay fresh.
39:40 Keep those legs, right?
39:41 Keep those legs.
39:42 You know what you're doing, right?
39:43 Close fight through two rounds.
39:44 Here we go with round number three.
39:46 [cheering]
39:48 [music playing]
39:50 Nice jab, though.
39:52 Andrea, she answers back.
39:53 A little blood seeping out of the nose here from Michelle.
39:56 Michelle didn't know it at the time,
39:57 but that exchange broke her nose.
39:59 Nose is bleeding.
40:00 Nose is bleeding.
40:01 She stepped back, kind of wiped her nose a little bit.
40:03 I could just see the look on Michelle's face.
40:06 Beast mode was activated.
40:08 Big right hand.
40:09 Give me your right hand.
40:12 Andrea rolls with it, but you are seeing a little bit
40:14 of a swelling on that left eye of Andrea Botez.
40:17 Eats another jab, and another right hand.
40:20 And Andrea feels that one.
40:21 You can see immediately, Charlie, she put that glove up
40:23 to see it.
40:24 Did I get hit by that?
40:25 Is that really what just happened?
40:26 The technical ability of two people
40:28 around that same knee, they're in the ring together.
40:31 We're seeing it.
40:32 Another beautiful fight.
40:33 Right hand there for Michelle.
40:34 Knocks Andrea off balance.
40:36 That is unbelievable.
40:37 Her corner urges her to come forward and follow up on that.
40:40 Tony, it looks like that's where the openings will be.
40:42 What a very well-matched fight, I'm sure you'd agree.
40:44 Absolutely.
40:46 Last couple seconds here, round number three.
40:49 And a right hand to the body to end the round there
40:51 from Michelle Carre.
40:53 Gentlemen, let's listen in to the corner of Andrea Botez here.
40:57 All she's looking for is that big right hand.
40:59 So if you step into her range, be ready, boom,
41:02 draw it out, counter.
41:03 That right hand is trash.
41:05 It's trash.
41:06 You hit harder, you're longer, you're stronger,
41:08 and you work way [bleep] harder.
41:10 This is your time to take over.
41:11 We need these rounds.
41:12 Tony, I got to say something here.
41:15 They call your fighters right hand trash.
41:18 Well, that's the right hand that's done the most damage
41:20 in the fight, so it can't be that bloody bad.
41:22 And you heard him say this at the end of that instruction,
41:25 we need this round.
41:26 They obviously feel like Andrea might be down
41:29 a couple of rounds here.
41:32 Woo!
41:33 Nice, both ladies jab.
41:34 Andrea's starting to find a home for it there,
41:36 but a right hand sneaks in from Michelle,
41:38 left hand behind it as well.
41:39 It's been a very high-pitched fight.
41:41 They're feeling the effects of this five-round action.
41:44 Nice counter there from Andrea Botez.
41:46 Andrea had some success there.
41:48 The more success she's had in the fights before.
41:51 Oh, nice job by Michelle.
41:52 Nice jab.
41:53 Michelle gets one through.
41:55 Last 10 seconds.
41:57 Let's see who can punctuate this round.
41:59 Nice.
42:00 [crowd cheering]

42:07 Okay, breathe, breathe.
42:08 All of that right here.
42:09 Doing great.
42:10 Set it up.
42:11 Not everything's got to be a huge shot.
42:12 Set it up, doubles and triples, right?
42:14 One more set, breathe.
42:16 This is it right here.
42:17 You're doing great, Michelle.
42:18 Let's go.
42:19 You're doing it.
42:20 Hey.
42:21 This is it right here.
42:22 This is where our winners will be made.
42:25 This fifth and final round,
42:27 who's got what's left in the tank?
42:29 And both girls coming out like an absolute firecracker here,
42:32 round five.
42:33 Where did that energy come from?
42:34 Right hand.
42:35 Beautiful right hand there from Michelle.
42:37 Oh.
42:38 Best punch in the fight so far.
42:40 Andrea keeping the lights on after that is just still impressive, though.
42:43 My goodness.
42:44 Oh, another jab there from Andrea.
42:46 That lands.
42:48 Back and forth we go.
42:50 Highly contested right hand.
42:52 Big shot there from Michelle.
42:54 My God.
42:55 Michelle is the Grim Reaper out here.
42:57 Landing big shots.
42:59 One just waves by her face.
43:01 A gig.
43:02 Oh, another right hand there from Michelle.
43:03 25 seconds left.
43:05 Jan Andrea turned the tide.
43:07 She'll need a knockdown in order to even make this one close.
43:10 Jab down the pipe.
43:11 Continuing to work that jab.
43:13 Andrea comes forward, eats another jab for it.
43:16 Shots to the body.
43:17 There's 10 seconds.
43:18 Yeah, I think that's going to be all she wrote there.
43:20 Oh, right hand.
43:22 Big shots ahead of the fight.
