Transcript
00:00 What do you think about them pulling up the old tram tracks here at the top of Fargate?
00:04 Well I think it's a good idea because they've been buried for a long time haven't they?
00:09 But it would be quite nice to have them as a little memorial somewhere to show that they were actually in Sheffield at some point on this road.
00:17 So you'd like some sort of, something to make, to remember what was there?
00:23 What was there, yes, if it's possible. I don't know really. But, yeah.
00:28 What do you think about them removing all the old tram tracks at the top of Fargate?
00:32 I've not really got much of an opinion on it to be honest.
00:36 Do you think it's a shame?
00:37 I suppose it is a bit of a shame, yeah. But, yeah, a shame, yeah.
00:43 I mean it's really sad isn't it? It's like part of the history of Sheffield isn't it, the city centre?
00:48 Would you like to see them keeping them and doing something with them?
00:50 Yeah, keep them and making a little landmark maybe of them.
00:54 What do you think about them pulling up the old tram tracks here at Fargate?
01:04 Well I've never given it any thought. I was totally unaware that there were any old tram tracks there.
01:09 Unless it's a danger or interfering with services, why not just leave them?
01:16 Would you like to see them do something sort of heritage-y out of them?
01:18 Yeah, that would be a good idea. Because people in the 50s, I was a kid, we were very fond of those old trams.
01:25 So a small section as a bit of a heritage feature would be a good idea, yeah.
