Transcript
00:00 Hello, I'm reporter Richard Hunt just outside Seniors in Bisman.
00:03 There's a bit of news about Seniors because they've just opened a new outlet in Preston for the first time.
00:09 They've opened one in Ingle and they've already got nine on the Fylde Coast all over the place from
00:15 South Shore to Thornton and I'm here at the one in Bisman. I'm just about to go into this fish and
00:20 chip shop to sample some of the fish and chips and see how good they really are. Seniors are very
00:24 popular on the Fylde Coast so let's see how good they are after all. Thank you, I'll tell you how I get on.
00:30 Well here I am with the Seniors fish and chips.
00:34 If you can see that it's a plate of haddock and chips or a carton of haddock and chips.
00:41 I understand that haddock is meant to be the best. People in Fleetwood say haddock is the best
00:46 rather than cod but it's all a matter of opinion. But this is haddock and chips from Seniors in Bisman.
00:52 It costs £9.50 so I'm about to try it. It's a long time since I've been to Seniors.
00:58 Well I can't say I'm the world's number one expert when it comes to fish and chips but I do know when
01:13 I don't like it. That's pretty good. Here we come to the main part, the fish.
01:20 Backer. The batter's quite crispy, not too soggy. So let's see what it's like.
01:29 Sorry.
01:45 I need choking. Yeah it's really very good. It's very good indeed.
01:51 So people say
01:55 how good a Seniors then this this tastes pretty good to me.
02:02 And they've just opened a new outlet in Ingle Preston for the first time.
02:09 Seems to me it's quite understandable why they're so popular. Thanks very much. Richard Hunt, the local news.
