00:11 We're in Napa Valley, California,
00:13 testing the new 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman GTS.
00:18 It's a mouthful.
00:20 So, let's go for a quick drive
00:23 and see what this Cayman has to offer.

00:31 So, what does the GTS badge mean?
00:39 You know, this is not the first Porsche
00:41 to wear the GTS badge.
00:42 In fact, it's like one of like the fifth or sixth Porsche
00:44 that we've seen so far offered to market with the GTS badge.
00:48 What kind of power do you get with the GTS?
00:50 So, it's still got the same 2.5 liter turbocharged flat four
00:55 that we find in the Cayman S.
00:56 This time, instead of 350 from the S,
01:00 you've got 365, a 15 horsepower bump.
01:03 They achieved the extra power
01:04 through a new revised inlet duct and a revised turbo.
01:09 So, it's not just power that makes the GTS package
01:13 worth talking about.
01:14 It comes standard with a lot of cool features.
01:16 On the outside, we've got 20,
01:18 I believe they're 20 inch Carrera S wheels
01:21 that are in satin black, which look really nice.
01:23 You've got black accents over the tire exterior of the car.
01:26 The GTS package also includes the excellent PASM,
01:31 or Porsche Active Suspension Management System.
01:35 This offers the driver the ability to toggle
01:37 between normal chassis mode and sport chassis mode.
01:42 Obviously, it's stiffer in sport
01:43 and more compliant in normal.
01:46 It's obviously better for handling.
01:47 It's also good for if you want it
01:49 to be a dual purpose vehicle.
01:50 So, GTS is a little bit faster than the S, not by much,
01:55 but overall, it's a better, I would say,
01:58 performance package, especially for enthusiasts.
02:01 Zero to 60 miles an hour now takes 4.4 seconds,
02:04 as Porsche claims.
02:05 Feels a little bit faster than that,
02:07 but we'll take their word on it.
02:08 Now, while this is the entry level sports car
02:11 in the Porsche lineup, sitting underneath even the Boxster
02:14 by about $2,000, the 718 GTS isn't cheap.
02:18 The base price for the 718 GTS is around $80,000,
02:22 but this particular one is specced out to about $90,000.
02:25 It sounds pretty good, too, thanks to the 718 GTS's
02:28 new, more aggressive dual mode exhaust.
