00:00 We're at the LA show and this is the Subaru BRZ Concept.
00:12 Ignore the big wing, the pumped fenders and the STI wheels, that's all auto show eye candy.
00:18 But everything else is pretty much what we'll see when Subaru unveils the production version
00:22 of this car next year.
00:25 The product of a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru, this represents a radical departure
00:30 for the company.
00:31 Under the hood is an all-new version of Subaru's trademark boxer 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.
00:38 But that engine drives the rear wheels only.
00:41 And how does it drive?
00:43 Very nicely.
00:44 I've had some wheel time in a BRZ prototype and it's very entertaining to drive.
00:50 Lightweight, Subaru's aiming at just 2,500 pounds on the road and 200 horsepower equal
00:57 a lot of fun.
00:58 We can't wait to throw this thing at some of our favourite canyon roads.
