Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Taylor discusses the return of running back Jonathan Taylor.
Transcript
00:00 I'm excited just for him being able to come back on the field.
00:03 I know it's been a while for him being on the field.
00:05 So I know he's excited to be back,
00:07 and I'm excited to see what he does with me.
00:09 Have you built some chemistry maybe off the field that
00:12 will help you when you're on the field together as well?
00:14 Yeah, he's a great guy.
00:16 I love him.
00:17 We talk almost every other day.
00:19 Whenever I see him, we communicate.
00:20 So I think our relationship is pretty tight,
00:22 and we'll see how it is on the field.
00:25 I know he's a great player.
00:27 I know I can do some things pretty well.
00:29 So just trying to combine those two things.
00:32 I can only imagine what it's like,
00:34 but we won't see until it actually happens.
00:37 So we'll see, and I'm excited.
00:39 Yeah, I think Jonathan, you haven't
00:40 gotten to practice with him yet, but have you gone back
00:42 and watched either highlights or games
00:44 that you used to watch him?
00:45 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:46 All the time, even when he was back in college.
00:49 Just seeing the way he played, watching him last year
00:51 and the year before that, watching his highlights
00:53 and stuff.
00:54 He's a dog.
00:54 He's a great player.
00:55 And I'm glad I'm the quarterback with him,
00:57 and he's a running back.
00:58 We're going to see what happens.
00:59 How different of a running back is he,
01:01 you think, on the field compared to running out there
01:03 with Zach Moss and those guys?
01:05 I feel like all of our running backs are great.
01:07 They all do something a little different.
01:09 They all do something special.
01:12 I've always seen highlights of JT,
01:14 but I haven't seen them in person.
01:16 Like, I've seen Zach and everybody else,
01:17 but hopefully I get to see that soon,
01:19 and I can have more answers for that.
01:23 Whether it's JT or Zach Moss or a sophomore in Florida,
01:26 how long does it take to get in sync with a running back
01:29 to where it's sort of seamless?
01:32 I don't think it takes too long.
01:34 It's pretty simple, just handing the ball off,
01:36 knowing where to step.
01:37 But it's also just learning the running back,
01:39 also learning how he wants the ball given to him
01:42 and how he wants the passes thrown to him.
01:44 So maybe a couple of days, maybe.
01:47 But we'll see.
01:48 We'll see how everything goes.
