00:00 The idea behind UNI Cafe is that it's a place where youngsters can reflect of the richness
00:09 of our culture and also to understand various aspects of Khasi culture, especially in food,
00:16 music and games.
00:18 And we even promote traditional games.
00:20 Those games are dying now and most of the youngsters are busy playing games on mobile.
00:27 We call local artists to display their art products and also the artisans, whatever they
00:33 have created, and we help them sell their products here.
00:37 So we don't take commission.
00:39 Whatever we sell, we give the money straight to them.
00:44 Actually the UNI Arts Cafe is about helping the youngsters who are coming from low-income
00:49 families.
00:50 They mostly are dropouts.
00:52 And two of them are graduated by working in the cafe where they support their own education
00:57 and there are another 12 of them, they are dropout students.
