00:00 Kanye West is now getting sued big time by multiple people and is being accused of putting
00:11 his employees in unsafe working conditions while trying to turn his Malibu mansion into
00:17 a literal bomb shelter.
00:26 What is going on here guys?
00:28 Now the first lawsuit claims that the staff at the mansion had inadequate accommodations
00:33 and had to sleep on makeshift arrangements and conditions since the house was still under
00:40 construction.
00:41 According to Tony Saxon, who is the plaintiff in this case, he didn't have a proper place
00:46 to sleep and he had to use his coat as a makeshift bed on the floor next to exposed insulation.
00:54 Tony Saxon started working for Kanye's security back in September of 2021 and he was also
01:08 given construction related tasks.
01:11 And photos from the case show that Kanye's employees had to endure poor conditions without
01:18 access to beds, blankets or pillows while the house was being renovated.
01:30 The employee, Tony, has made more claims in addition to the complaints about poor working
01:36 conditions.
01:37 Check this out.
01:38 He's accusing Kanye West of retaliating against him for refusing to carry out dangerous requests.
01:53 So what type of dangerous requests are we talking about here?
01:57 Tony alleges that while he was working on renovating a house bought by Kanye, Kanye
02:02 West asked for the removal of electricity and windows, which was considered extremely
02:09 risky and dangerous.
02:18 When Tony didn't comply with this request, well he says that he was abruptly told to
02:23 leave his job.
02:24 Boom, that was it, he was fired.
02:27 Tony claims he was fired after refusing to move power generators inside because of safety
02:32 concerns.
02:33 Kanye West is also currently facing another lawsuit from his former manager, Thomas St.
02:39 John.
02:40 Now this has to do with firing, but it doesn't have to do with unsafe working conditions.
02:46 Thomas St. John claims that he was unfairly fired without proper payment and is seeking
02:50 $4.5 million in damages.
02:53 Back in December of 2022, Thomas filed a complaint with the court stating that he had difficulty
03:00 reaching Kanye West to serve him with legal documents related to the lawsuit that he initiated
03:06 in October of that year.
03:08 St. John reportedly told the courtroom during a hearing that he hasn't had the opportunity
03:12 to serve Kanye with the legal documents regarding the lawsuit.
03:15 Kanye West had hired Thomas as his senior financial advisor and chief financial officer
03:21 and they had a contract for 18 months.
03:23 They agreed on a monthly salary as well as a $300,000 retainer fee as part of this deal.
03:30 However, Thomas claims that he was suddenly fired just a few months into the contract,
03:36 which he believes goes against their agreement completely.
03:40 So he's seeking what he thinks he's owed, this includes $900,000 for the work that he
03:45 has done up until this point, as well as $3.6 million for the rest of the contract as well
03:52 as additional damages.
04:02 Although Thomas started the lawsuit months ago, he hasn't been able to move forward
04:08 with anything because he hasn't been able to serve Kanye West with the necessary legal
04:14 documents.
04:16 And also in a recent report, it was mentioned that Kanye West and his wife, Bianca, have
04:20 been actively avoiding his lawyers, even though he's facing several lawsuits here.
04:26 So this is one of the reasons why they've been traveling outside of America to places
04:31 like Italy, Germany, and the UK, just to completely avoid this stay away.
04:37 It's definitely going to be a lot to deal with.
04:39 So I'm sure it's kind of therapeutic for Kanye West and his wife to not have to deal with
04:45 the legal stuff right now.
04:47 But eventually, when they get back to America, they're going to have to deal with that.
04:51 On that note guys, I'm going to end off on this one.
