00:00 - Ready?
00:00 Questions.
00:01 Yes, sir.
00:02 - Hi.
00:03 Hi, how are you?
00:04 So clearly there's big issues going on with the border.
00:08 You see, you're seeing every single day now
00:12 videos of people, obviously in the United States,
00:14 they're not being,
00:16 they're obviously not going through the correct means,
00:21 necessity in this country.
00:23 What would be your plan,
00:26 clearly before we, by the numbers we saw,
00:30 your administration do a lot better job than clearly now.
00:33 Would you do anything even further
00:35 than what was done in the four years as vice president?
00:39 What can you explain that you would do
00:40 that would be even more so than what you and Donald Trump did?
00:44 - Well, I think first off, you gotta finish the wall.
00:51 You know, out here in the heartland,
00:52 we know good fences make good neighbors.
00:55 I gotta tell you, it's pretty ironic to me
00:57 that the last two days we just heard
00:59 the Biden administration just announced
01:00 they're gonna start building some walls.
01:02 (audience laughing)
01:04 Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and again.
01:07 (audience laughing)
01:10 But don't be deceived, don't be deceived.
01:11 26 miles of wall, we're gonna get it.
01:13 What I'm gonna do if I'm president of the United States,
01:15 we're gonna finish the wall.
01:16 So, cheers.
01:17 (audience applauding)
01:21 Secondly, secondly, we'll put back into place
01:25 the remaining Mexico policy.
01:26 I negotiated that with the Mexicans.
01:29 We'll use economic power and the threat of tariffs
01:34 to get them to come to the table and get serious.
01:37 Number three, we got the Mexicans
01:39 to deploy their National Guard to their southern border
01:41 and our southern border, and we partnered with them.
01:44 The next thing I would do is I would sit down,
01:49 first with the leaders of Congress,
01:50 I'd get an authorization for the use of force.
01:54 Then I'd sit down with the Mexicans,
01:56 and I would say to them, we got special forces
01:58 in the United States of America that know how to do this.
02:01 We're gonna partner with you,
02:02 we're gonna hunt these cartels down
02:05 and destroy them at their source.
02:06 (audience applauding)
02:09 I think you can get the Mexicans to work with you on that.
02:15 I know how to get their attention.
02:16 The last thing I would do is,
02:19 with regard to the flow of fentanyl,
02:21 I would direct the Coast Guard of the United States
02:23 to interdict any Chinese ship in international waters
02:28 to be subject to a search for fentanyl
02:31 or fentanyl additives and byproducts coming in to Mexico.
02:36 And when they're in international waters,
02:39 we just tell the Coast Guard, pull 'em over, board 'em,
02:42 let's take a look around.
02:44 'Cause most of that fentanyl that's coming in
02:46 and destroying lives in our country
02:47 is coming from China through Mexico.
02:51 So those are all pieces, part and parcel of what we'll do.
02:53 But the last thing you gotta do,
02:55 somebody asked me about this,
02:56 is you got more than five million people now
02:59 in the asylum system in this country, right?
03:02 They've applied for asylum and now a whole lot of 'em
03:05 are in cities all across the country.
03:07 You even got, for heaven's sakes,
03:09 you got Democrat governors complaining about it.
03:12 Only took 'em two and a half years to notice, right?
03:17 But I think it'd be important to deputize courts,
03:21 deputize prosecutors to expedite the processing
03:25 of these asylum applicants.
03:27 Look, if somebody's applied for asylum under the law,
03:30 they come from a country where they're experiencing
03:32 persecution or otherwise, we have asylum laws,
03:35 they can stay.
03:37 But if it's a fraudulent application,
03:39 let's get that processed and let's send 'em home.
03:41 And it's gonna take resources and personnel to do it.
03:44 So we gotta plan, we gotta plan enough.
03:47 I actually know how to get it done.
03:50 Yes, sir, please.
