00:17 Pinjani, who runs a community-based organization called Abhimaan, was inarguably a favourite
00:24 with his extensive engagement with community-related issues in his hometown and in the state of
00:30 Maharashtra.
00:31 Vishal said, "Through this pageant, I would like to get a chance to highlight the issues
00:37 of gay men in rural India as issues of the LGBTQ community are often perceived as only
00:44 urban issues."
00:47 He also discussed the ongoing criminalization of homosexuality in 70 countries and expressed
00:53 his intention to collaborate with LGBTQ organizations globally to change these perceptions.
01:00 Additionally, Vishal works as a diversity and inclusion consultant and personal time
01:06 strategist offering life coaching services to individuals.
01:11 Abhishek Jayadeep, a 25-year-old software developer hailing from Kerala who now works
01:18 in Pune, was the other finalist.
01:20 He was awarded the first-ever title of Mr. Gay Kerala.
01:25 The event was organized by Pune-based MIST LGBTQ Foundation in collaboration with Co-Attainment
01:32 Private Limited and the winner has been announced based on online voting and jury decision.
01:38 The national director and producer of the organization is the 2014 winner Sushant Digvikar,
