00:00 Your behavior is not normal!
00:02 Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:03 For this list, we'll be looking at the top 10 worst guests to appear on the Joe Rogan experience.
00:09 You know, I represent more than myself these days.
00:11 Right.
00:12 So I definitely have to watch what I say.
00:14 Number 10.
00:16 Jack Dorsey.
00:17 Like, what has that been like for you?
00:19 It's been both beautiful and scary and...
00:24 Prior to former Twitter now ex-CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey's first appearance on JRE,
00:30 fans were expecting the host to really push and interrogate Dorsey on all matters relating to the platform.
00:37 It has faced its fair share of criticism and controversies over the years,
00:41 so fans were expecting an in-depth episode.
00:45 Instead, the episode fell completely flat.
00:48 Is there any consideration to expanding it further?
00:50 Uh, not right now.
00:52 We're...
00:52 How about a million characters?
00:54 No?
00:55 What took place was a discussion that many deemed as either boring or just uninteresting altogether,
01:01 with some pointing out how Rogan barely challenged Dorsey if at all.
01:05 The episode's reception was so bad that Rogan even had to send out an apology.
01:11 I didn't think the podcast would create such a controversy,
01:16 but that's probably poor prior planning on my part.
01:20 Fortunately, Dorsey would later return to the podcast and ultimately redeem himself.
01:25 Number 9.
01:26 Aubrey Marcus
01:28 This entrepreneur and health guru was once a frequent guest on the Joe Rogan Experience.
01:34 During his appearances, Marcus discusses everything from life and business
01:39 to holistic approaches to facing obstacles.
01:42 You know, like maybe pushing through these seemingly trivial things, it counts.
01:46 While there has never been any culpable tension between himself and Rogan,
01:51 and some enjoy his appearances on the podcast, others are not so enthusiastic.
01:56 The only thing that ends the cycle, ultimately, is love.
01:59 Many have labelled him as self-serving,
02:02 and that he only seems primarily interested in selling his brand.
02:06 Others often point out that what he preaches pretty much means nothing,
02:10 and that he frequently contradicts himself.
02:13 Like, hey, am I a douchebag?
02:15 Number 8.
02:16 Steven Crowder
02:18 While things started off relatively tame with this guest,
02:21 all hell broke loose when the topic of conversation veered towards marijuana use and legislation.
02:28 A shouting match of sorts ensues,
02:30 with Crowder constantly trying to chime in and Rogan not letting him do so.
02:34 Hold on! Stop!
02:35 No, no, hold on a second.
02:36 You interrupt way too much.
02:38 You need to stop.
02:38 You talk in paragraphs.
02:39 No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
02:40 I don't talk in paragraphs.
02:41 I make full points.
02:43 Insults are hurled,
02:44 and it becomes very clear that Rogan is no longer in control of his podcast.
02:49 Since marijuana legalization highway fatalities in Colorado are a near historic loss...
02:57 It is important to note that Rogan and Crowder enjoyed a few drinks throughout this episode,
03:02 so it might explain why things went south.
03:04 Perhaps this explains why the guest show is called Louder with Crowder.
03:09 And for some reason, you're turning into something hostile that it really doesn't need to be.
03:12 It's not hostile.
03:13 It is.
03:13 It might be to you.
03:14 Yeah, it is.
03:15 You feel weird about it.
03:16 I feel great.
03:16 It is.
03:17 Number 7.
03:18 Deadmau5
03:19 I had a chat with Carson Daly the other day,
03:21 and I said, "Hey, Joe Rogan, come on, what do you think?"
03:24 He's like, "Dude, do it, do it. You'll have so much fun."
03:26 And I'm like, "Yeah, you know what? F*** it."
03:27 The lack of chemistry between Rogan and Deadmau5 is quite evident from the start.
03:32 The whole conversation is awkward,
03:34 and it seems as though no matter what Rogan did,
03:37 he simply couldn't get the musician to open up about anything.
03:41 No, I just don't want to go there.
03:42 But...
03:43 There are instances when things get contentious between the two,
03:46 notably when the topic of recreational substances comes up,
03:49 something which the host and guest have clearly opposing views on.
03:53 Is this something generally accepted that should go hand-in-hand with electronic music, then?
03:58 No, no, I don't listen, man.
04:00 I think you're taking it really personal.
04:01 As with our previous entry,
04:03 it didn't help that both men were having a few drinks during the show.
04:07 Even the likes of featured guests Eddie Bravo and Russell Peters couldn't save this episode.
04:12 There's a lot of drunk going on in this room.
04:15 Number 6. Mel Gibson
04:18 When it was announced Mel Gibson would appear on Joe Rogan's show,
04:22 fans were excited.
04:24 He says, "What the hell have you got to lose?"
04:25 And I said, "No, nothing. Let's go."
04:27 Arguably one of the biggest and most eccentric film stars,
04:31 many anticipated listening to Gibson tell stories from his experiences
04:35 being on set of his hit movies,
04:37 working in Hollywood and delving deep into his past controversies.
04:41 Instead, they got...
04:43 this.
04:44 You wanted to come in and talk about stem cells.
04:46 Yeah.
04:47 There wasn't really much substance behind the conversation between Rogan and Gibson,
04:51 and it didn't help that the episode featured a doctor who specializes in stem cell research.
04:56 Naturally, the discussion often steered towards this topic.
05:00 The only thing that's legally...
05:02 legal in the US, at least for now,
05:04 I don't think it's going to last much longer, is from Amnion.
05:07 For those who anticipated listening to Mel Gibson have his say on everything
05:12 that has transpired over his career,
05:14 the episode was most certainly a letdown.
05:17 I kind of want to hear you interview him a little bit.
05:19 It was like all the stem cell guy, huh?
05:20 Well, he wanted to come on and talk about stem cells.
05:23 That's really what he wanted to talk about.
05:25 Number 5. Jamie Kilstein
05:28 It is worse. Murder's worse.
05:30 During this comedian's appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience,
05:34 at one point the men discuss whether it was appropriate to make jokes
05:38 with regards to sexual mistreatment.
05:40 The argument then turns to whether this or murder was the worst crime,
05:45 with Kilstein stating that the former was worse.
05:48 Jamie, you're talking nonsense.
05:49 You keep bringing up feelings, you keep going to weird shit and victimization.
05:54 This soon spirals into a heated debate that sets Rogan off.
05:58 He quickly loses his temper and actually yells at Kilstein, calling him crazy.
06:03 He then tells him that he's talking nonsense.
06:06 The very fact that Kilstein believes and debates this
06:09 made for an uncomfortable listening.
06:12 So it's an unfair comparison.
06:14 But murder's worse.
06:15 Number 4. Brian Dunning
06:17 If you had to bet yes or no, was 9/11 orchestrated by the government?
06:21 If you had to bet, would you bet?
06:22 I would bet on no.
06:23 Anytime a proclaimed skeptic appears on JRE, one can expect fireworks.
06:29 But while a discussion and heated debate did take place between Rogan and Brian Dunning,
06:35 it was more so just irritating rather than entertaining.
06:39 I think that's what it sounded like.
06:41 The whole episode was just one entire argument between both men,
06:44 and neither seems to be able to get their points of view across.
06:48 So you agree with me?
06:49 So you criticize me for what you agree with?
06:51 No, no, no.
06:52 The conversation goes nowhere, and Rogan even goes on to admit
06:55 that inviting him on was a bad idea.
06:58 Rogan was most likely correct in his assumption,
07:01 as the episode would subsequently be removed from several platforms.
07:06 God, this makes me sound like an a**.
07:08 Number 3. Tom DeLonge
07:11 If one could sum up Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge's appearance on the JRE podcast
07:17 in one word, it would be "bonkers."
07:20 I think that's by design.
07:22 From start to end, the whole conversation was off the rails,
07:25 with DeLonge going full steam ahead on his conspiracy theories.
07:29 However, what left many JRE listeners disappointed
07:33 was not so much by the topics which DeLonge discussed,
07:36 but more so by the manner by which he did it.
07:39 Well, take a wild guess.
07:40 Look at the people I'm surrounded by, you know.
07:42 So the people you're surrounded by are telling you this?
07:46 Is that what it is?
07:47 More often than not, DeLonge was incoherent,
07:49 and despite the boldness of his claims,
07:51 never wanted to get too much into detail about them.
07:54 I can tell you, I don't know how they did it.
07:56 I do know that they infiltrated UFO groups.
07:58 For longtime Blink-182 fans or believers in extraterrestrial life,
08:03 this episode left many with a bitter taste in their mouth.
08:07 Number 2. Eliza Schlesinger
08:10 A recurring guest on the show,
08:12 to say this comedian's appearances on the show have been poorly received
08:16 would be an understatement.
08:18 When she came on in 2017,
08:20 it seemed as though she was primarily focused on promoting her new book,
08:24 Girl Logic.
08:25 This book is about me sort of noticing that women are always called crazy.
08:31 The stories and jokes she also told fell flat.
08:34 Don't give them a lighter.
08:36 Like, there's no reason.
08:37 A subsequent appearance on the show years later was even worse.
08:41 When Rogan discussed having Bernie Sanders on the show,
08:43 Schlesinger chimed in.
08:45 Okay, cool. I've had my mom on my podcast.
08:47 You wanna flex?
08:48 Rogan's facial expression says it all.
08:51 Her joke, or rather attempt at a joke,
08:54 was so poorly received it went viral.
08:57 It's hard to see her ever returning after that.

09:17 Number 1. Ari Shafir
09:19 Although this comedian's appearances haven't drawn any notable controversy,
09:24 many fans have frequently pointed out their displeasure
09:28 at the comedian's overall demeanour.
09:30 'Cause sweatshops a real thing, it's part of someone's history.
09:32 And you would never understand it so why don't you be quiet?
09:35 Some consider him rude, arrogant and quite demeaning at times.
09:38 In one appearance, he even went so far as to
09:42 relieve himself in the middle of an episode.
09:45 Okay, from now on, do me a favour and just go to the bathroom.
09:48 Fair enough.
09:49 His behaviour has frequently rubbed audiences the wrong way.
09:53 However, despite this, he continues to make frequent appearances on the show
09:57 and seems to get along quite fine with the JRE crew.
10:01 You know you're an adult, right?
10:02 Yeah.
10:03 Those closest to Shafir have pointed out that this is merely a persona
10:08 and off-camera, he is a very likeable person.
10:11 Alas, JRE viewers still have yet to see that side of him.
10:15 Ari is so crazy!
10:18 I don't trust him for a second.
