00:02 >> Franchise, touchdown leader, is that Russian touchdown?
00:05 Or is this all touchdown?
00:06 >> Career, all time.
00:07 >> Career, all time.
00:09 >> Gold standard, that's why I had gold cleats on.
00:12 >> The gold nose ring.
00:13 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:15 >> Have you envisioned this kind of dominant performance?
00:18 >> I always envision this type of performance.
00:20 We're always striving for a perfect played game in all three phases.
00:25 And you say each and every week.
00:27 And at some point I'm sure fans, reporters are like, when is it gonna be played?
00:30 Sounds like this week we played a close to perfect game and
00:33 where there's still plays we could have made.
00:35 We're just gonna continue working on our craft and
00:38 try to get better each and every week.
00:39 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:42 >> Kevin, what's it like playing in a game and
00:46 you're just getting a bunch of boos out of the whole crowd.
00:51 Do you actually like this or do you find it a little bit?
00:53 >> No, I mean, you know how hard it is to be in NFL?
00:56 You know how much work we put in as players to reach a Sunday?
01:00 On any given Sunday, the reason why it's a phrase,
01:04 you could have a great team lose one, you could have a bad team pop up with the win.
01:10 We work our butts off on our craft each and every day, to eliminate penalties,
01:15 to eliminate the room for error.
01:18 And yet on a Sunday, we're only human, there's room for error.
01:22 There's a reason why we go through so many reps just to go through 40 or
01:26 50 plays on defense or 60 plays on defense.
01:29 And leading up to that,
01:30 we practice three or four times as many reps as we get on game day.
01:35 We're trying to be perfect, we're striving to be the best at our craft.
01:38 And when it comes down to a game plan, executing at a high level,
01:42 we did just that, I hope that's our new standard.
01:44 >> Kim, this week, I don't know if you heard Bill Belichick, he had called you,
01:48 I think it was one of the hardest working players in the league or
01:52 the ones that he has the most respect for.
01:54 >> I appreciate that.
01:55 >> How did you hear that ahead of time and just to kind of hear that now?
01:58 >> Before the game, you try and tune out everything.
02:00 I mean, we just lost the previous week.
02:04 I'm just trying to get a W in the win column, whatever gets us there.
02:06 It has been a great part of my career to turn the page after 24 hours and
02:14 look towards this next week.
02:15 So the moment we flipped the script after the loss last Sunday, got to Monday,
02:20 I'm gun ho on zoning in on Mac Jones and his offense, Bill Belichick,
02:25 who you know is one of the most phenomenal coaches you're ever gonna see.
02:29 Legendary Hall of Fame coach.
02:31 So if he said anything positive about me, great, I have to go earn it.
02:34 If anything, I figured there was gonna be some chips my way that were not gonna be
02:38 what I wanted, but as a defensive line,
02:43 I think we created enough havoc in the backfield to get the job done today.
02:47 I think guys in the back end, guys in the tire and sitting over here with that first
02:51 pick six, popped the game off, draw blood.
02:54 We feel like the DBs were on top of their game, which made Mac,
02:59 that last series in the second quarter, actually hold the ball.
03:03 Once he hold the ball, we had to make him pay.
03:04 >> What does it mean, I mean, holding a team to one and 14 on third down?
03:10 The execution.
03:11 >> Better than eight of 13 or eight of 15 last week.
03:14 Again, I was scorned last week by things that felt like weren't a part of our
03:20 identity going forward and going into this game.
03:23 And from this game on, I hope that's a part of who we become.
03:27 We're officially almost a third, I'd say a quarter through,
03:33 but a third of the way through the season in the next couple days.
03:38 And I mean, we're just trying to keep on turning this page.
03:40 We're gonna enjoy this win, but don't make a mistake.
03:43 Whoever we play next week, we gotta start honing in on them right now.
03:46 I believe it's Jacksonville, but I could be wrong.
03:49 Houston, I was wrong, which means Jacksonville's after Houston.
03:53 Like I said, I only focus on one week at a time, I could be wrong.
03:57 I hope that what our defense played today is just the tip of the iceberg.
04:01 The way Double D played, coming downhill, covering guys,
04:05 everything that he's been all world, all pro for the last few years.
04:08 You know how DBs are getting more confident, start breaking on balls?
04:13 I feel like even our depth is starting to get a little bit stronger.
04:16 So better we can be as a defense, better we can be as a team.
04:20 >> Is this what you guys can be today?
04:23 >> Tyron.
04:24 >> Yeah. >> Please.
04:26 >> [LAUGH] >> No, I mean, I hope, again,
04:30 we're creating identity, and I think we got away from that this last week.
04:34 If we can continue striving for a complete game in all three phases,
04:38 I hope to assume this being the regular for us.
04:41 >> Cam, I noticed- >> Coach was just saying how important it
04:43 was for you guys this week coming into the game about causing havoc and
04:46 creating turnovers.
04:48 Is there anything you saw specifically preparing over the last week from
04:51 the Patriots that kind of gave you guys confidence that you could do that or
04:55 anything? >> It's about us.
04:56 At the end of the day, if we play our game our way,
04:58 there's nothing that anybody can do to take away from us.
05:00 I think we have power players at every position.
05:03 I think we have talent at every other position.
05:06 And honestly, if we play our brand of football, if we play with the intensity,
05:10 the energy that we have, and can try and continuously take and
05:13 enforce our dominance in each series, I hope that becomes a new standard.
05:17 Again, we gotta work for it each and every day.
05:18 So this game is great.
05:20 This game was awesome.
05:21 This game was fun.
05:22 And I hope it continues to be this exciting, this is fun for the Saints.
05:27 All right, I'm out, bye.
05:28 >> Thanks.
