00:00:03 Nina, come on.
00:00:21 They're going to be here any minute.
00:00:23 OK, we'll be right down.
00:00:25 I'll be down.
00:00:26 Father of the bride.
00:00:40 I never thought I'd say this, but that whole experience
00:00:42 was a piece of cake compared to the roller coaster
00:00:44 I've been on this past year.
00:00:46 I admit it took me a while to recover from the wedding,
00:00:49 but eventually life got back to normal,
00:00:51 which is exactly the way I prefer life to be.
00:00:54 After the dust settled, I began to realize
00:00:57 what a lucky guy I was.
00:00:59 I had a wonderful home filled with memories
00:01:02 and completely paid for, a wife I love just as much
00:01:06 as the day I married her, a daughter, independent,
00:01:09 self-sufficient, married, working, happy,
00:01:13 a son blossoming in the middle of middle school,
00:01:16 and a son-in-law gainfully employed and very often out
00:01:20 of town on business.
00:01:22 Life was sweet.
00:01:25 I felt for the first time ahead of the game.
00:01:29 Then it dawned on me.
00:01:30 I was a mere five years away from freedom.
00:01:34 Soon I'd be a father with one kid married
00:01:37 and the other off in college.
00:01:38 And that started me thinking, what was I going to do
00:01:41 with all that free time?
00:01:43 Anything I wanted.
00:01:48 Maybe I'd take up fly fishing, travel
00:01:52 to exotic places, climb Mount Everest.
00:01:55 I was feeling on top of the world.
00:01:58 And that's when they lowered the boom on me.
00:02:02 It was like that old joke, all those
00:02:04 who think they have it made, take one step forward.
00:02:07 Not so fast, George Banks.
00:02:10 It was about a year ago when it all started.
00:02:14 Well, nine months ago to be exact.
00:02:18 [music playing]
00:02:21 I was on my way home from work on a perfect fall day.
00:02:26 The leaves were golden, the air was crisp,
00:02:30 and I couldn't help thinking what a charmed life I was
00:02:33 leading.
00:02:33 [music playing]
00:02:36 Yep, I was a happy man.
00:02:38 [music playing]
00:02:41 [door opening]
00:02:45 [door closing]
00:02:48 [door closing]
00:02:52 [music playing]
00:02:55 [door opening]
00:02:59 Hey!
00:03:01 Hey, Dad, did you hear the news?
00:03:03 What news?
00:03:04 I don't know.
00:03:05 She wouldn't tell me.
00:03:06 Daddy, phone!
00:03:07 Got it!
00:03:08 Who wouldn't tell you?
00:03:10 [laughter]
00:03:11 Hey.
00:03:12 Hi, George.
00:03:14 Do you think it's what we think it is?
00:03:16 What? What is it?
00:03:17 Somebody tell me what's going on.
00:03:18 Brian called and said to be here at 6 sharp,
00:03:20 that he and Annie have some important news to tell us.
00:03:23 Oh.
00:03:25 This is one of those moments, George.
00:03:27 I can feel it.
00:03:30 Oh, my.
00:03:30 Hi, honey.
00:03:35 Oh, don't worry, OK?
00:03:38 I'm sure nothing's wrong.
00:03:39 How do you know?
00:03:40 Well, I-- I know.
00:03:41 Oh, you know?
00:03:42 No, I don't-- I don't really know.
00:03:44 I just know nothing's wrong.
00:03:45 Now, come on.
00:03:46 Come on inside.
00:03:47 Can I fix you a drink, George?
00:03:48 No, thanks.
00:03:49 Nina, you don't think Annie's been transferred back east,
00:03:51 do you?
00:03:52 No, honey.
00:03:53 Something tells me this has nothing to do with work.
00:03:56 George, George, you sure you don't want a glass of wine?
00:03:59 Because Joyce said a transfer was a possibility.
00:04:01 And I, for one, would hate it if they moved.
00:04:03 Really, George?
00:04:04 You?
00:04:06 Well, they live far enough away as it is.
00:04:08 Dad, they live a mile from here.
00:04:09 Well, you know, with the traffic and everything.
00:04:11 [car horn honking]
00:04:12 Oh, there they are.
00:04:13 I just-- I just don't want to hear the word Boston,
00:04:15 that's all.
00:04:16 I mean, you know what's going to happen, don't you?
00:04:18 First, they're going to promise to come home for long weekends.
00:04:20 Then it'll be a week every other summer.
00:04:22 Next thing you know, we're strangers.
00:04:24 We're just names on a Christmas card list.
00:04:27 We'll be those relatives out in California.
00:04:32 Bummer, man.
00:04:32 He delivers.
00:04:35 Hello.
00:04:36 We're here.
00:04:37 Hi.
00:04:38 [interposing voices]
00:04:39 Good to see you.
00:04:40 So are you.
00:04:41 You too.
00:04:42 Hi.
00:04:43 Hi.
00:04:44 Oh.
00:04:46 There she was, my Annie.
00:04:48 Every time I saw her, I had to remind
00:04:50 myself she was a married woman.
00:04:53 To me, she still seemed like a kid playing house.
00:04:56 Hi, how are you?
00:04:57 Hi.
00:04:57 Hi.
00:04:58 Hi.
00:04:59 Hi.
00:05:00 Hi, Mom.
00:05:01 How are you?
00:05:02 Good.
00:05:02 Are you feeling all right?
00:05:04 Of course she's feeling all right.
00:05:06 Look at her.
00:05:07 She never looked better.
00:05:08 Hi, Dad.
00:05:09 So any news at work?
00:05:14 Any-- any news?
00:05:15 Anything?
00:05:16 No, everything's great.
00:05:17 Same but good.
00:05:18 Busy.
00:05:20 See?
00:05:22 Hey, Dad.
00:05:23 George.
00:05:24 Sorry, George.
00:05:25 As long as the big news wasn't that my daughter was moving
00:05:27 3,000 miles away, her husband could
00:05:30 call me anything he wanted.
00:05:33 In spite of myself, I had actually
00:05:35 begun to grow somewhat fond of Brian McKenzie.
00:05:40 Those hors d'oeuvres look so great.
00:05:42 I'm starving.
00:05:42 So what is it, Annie?
00:05:48 What's the news?
00:05:49 Well, don't you want to eat first?
00:05:51 Come on, tell us. What is it?
00:05:52 I know what it is.
00:05:53 I got it. I'm positive.
00:05:55 You bought a house, right?
00:05:56 A place you can remodel a little closer to home?
00:05:58 A house?
00:05:58 Is that it?
00:06:00 Well--
00:06:01 Well, no, no, no, no.
00:06:01 A house is fine.
00:06:02 Oh, yeah, of course.
00:06:04 A house is definitely good.
00:06:05 That's the big news, a house?
00:06:07 I thought you guys were going to have a baby.
00:06:10 Get out of here.
00:06:12 Us too.
00:06:13 I know.
00:06:14 Me too.
00:06:15 That's what I thought.
00:06:16 That's what we were hoping for.
00:06:18 Well?
00:06:19 Tell them.
00:06:20 Your wish came true.
00:06:23 I'm going to have a baby.
00:06:25 We're pregnant.
00:06:26 [cheering]
00:06:29 [cheering]
00:06:32 I never liked that Brian McKenzie.
00:06:48 Not from the moment I laid eyes on him.
00:06:51 Here my little girl was playing house.
00:06:53 He had the nerve to--
00:06:54 George.
00:06:56 What do you say, Dad?
00:07:00 Congratulations.
00:07:03 You too.
00:07:04 [cheering]
00:07:07 Congratulations.
00:07:14 Grandpa.
00:07:19 Grandpa?
00:07:21 First that runt steals my daughter,
00:07:23 now he makes a grandpa out of me.
00:07:26 [crickets chirping]
00:07:29 The baby is due July 26, and I like that,
00:07:31 because that's a good even number.
00:07:33 Of course, it is going to be very hot,
00:07:35 but I'm sure she's not going to mind.
00:07:38 Oh, God.
00:07:39 Oh, George.
00:07:40 Can you believe the same doctor who delivered Annie
00:07:42 is going to be delivering her baby?
00:07:45 Oh, honey, it's so amazing.
00:07:47 Yeah.
00:07:48 Oh, George, I have a great idea.
00:07:52 What if Frog did the baby shower for us?
00:07:55 [phone ringing]
00:07:56 Frog.
00:07:57 As a baby, honey.
00:07:58 George.
00:07:59 What?
00:08:00 I thought you liked Frog now.
00:08:02 I never actually said I liked him, Ann.
00:08:03 Yes, you did.
00:08:04 Yes, you did.
00:08:05 When we were at that party with those people from what you
00:08:07 call it, you were just raving on about it.
00:08:08 All right, well, maybe it slipped out,
00:08:09 but I didn't mean it.
00:08:10 Nina, get a grip.
00:08:12 I'm not going to go into hock to give Annie a baby shower.
00:08:14 I just finished paying for the wedding.
00:08:16 Now my stomach hurts.
00:08:17 Where'd you put my Tums?
00:08:19 All right, honey, OK.
00:08:20 OK, OK.
00:08:21 It was just a thought.
00:08:22 Calm down.
00:08:23 What's the matter with you anyway?
00:08:24 You didn't say a word during dinner.
00:08:25 You're acting as if you're not happy about this.
00:08:28 Who's acting?
00:08:29 Oh, I see.
00:08:30 You're not happy that your daughter is
00:08:31 going to be having a baby?
00:08:33 That's right, Grandma.
00:08:34 I'm not.
00:08:37 Why?
00:08:38 Well, for starters, they can't afford a baby.
00:08:40 Oh.
00:08:41 Babies cost money.
00:08:42 And the older they get, the more they cost.
00:08:44 I mean, they didn't plan for this.
00:08:45 They don't have a nest egg.
00:08:46 They-- they barely have a nest.
00:08:48 How are they going to fit a baby into that shoebox they live in?
00:08:51 Really, George, they have more money than we had at their age.
00:08:55 Also, what do they know about raising a kid?
00:08:57 Annie's just a kid herself.
00:08:59 I mean, she graduates college and marries
00:09:01 the first guy she meets.
00:09:02 And now to get saddled with a baby
00:09:03 even before a career takes off?
00:09:05 Why must I always be the only feminist in this family?
00:09:08 You know, I just realized something.
00:09:10 I'm 4'6".
00:09:11 I don't shave.
00:09:12 I don't have a job.
00:09:13 And I'm going to be an uncle.
00:09:15 Is there something weird about that?
00:09:16 Finally, someone who thinks like I do.
00:09:22 Oh, yeah, a 12-year-old.
00:09:24 [phone ringing]
00:09:27 Oh, god.
00:09:28 Hello?
00:09:29 Oh, Sally.
00:09:30 Oh, Sally, hi.
00:09:32 I have the best news.
00:09:33 Guess what?
00:09:34 This is so exciting.
00:09:37 I'm going to be a grandmother.
00:09:40 Poor Nina.
00:09:41 The woman was obviously living in denial.
00:09:43 I, for one, wasn't ready to be a grandfather.
00:09:46 What was so grand about it anyway?
00:09:48 George?
00:09:49 Oh, he's thrilled.
00:09:51 Grandfathers wore cardigans and hearing aids.
00:09:54 I wore baseball caps and running shoes.
00:09:56 Sure, I may have been a little out of shape,
00:09:58 but I was still young, and I could prove it.
00:10:01 [music playing]
00:10:04 Oh, yeah.
00:10:17 Oh, yeah.
00:10:19 Oh, yeah.
00:10:20 Oh, yeah.
00:10:22 Oh, yeah.
00:10:24 [gurgling]
00:10:25 Oh, yeah.
00:10:27 You better take it easy there, pops.
00:10:28 [grunting]
00:10:34 Ow.
00:10:35 Ah.
00:10:40 Ah.
00:10:42 [grunting]
00:10:43 [music playing]
00:10:46 [music playing]
00:10:50 [music playing]
00:10:53 [music playing]
00:10:57 [music playing]
00:11:00 Oh, hang on a second.
00:11:02 You got the list?
00:11:03 I got it right here.
00:11:04 Are you OK? - Yeah, I'm fine.
00:11:05 Shoot.
00:11:06 OK.
00:11:07 The following men are older than you.
00:11:08 Go.
00:11:09 Paul McCartney.
00:11:10 Rod Stewart.
00:11:11 Jack Nicholson.
00:11:12 Jack Nicholson?
00:11:13 Oh, by eight years, you're much younger than Jack Nicholson.
00:11:15 Well, you can't get any cooler than Jack Nicholson.
00:11:16 That's a good one. Go on.
00:11:17 OK.
00:11:18 Mick Jagger, Robert Redford.
00:11:19 Really?
00:11:20 Bob Dylan, Warren Beatty, and Bill Clinton.
00:11:22 Really?
00:11:22 But only by 31 days.
00:11:24 Hey.

00:15:20 [music playing]
00:15:32 [music playing]
00:15:35 [music playing]
00:15:38 Hey, hey, didn't you just pay $900 to have this roof fixed?
00:15:47 I swear to God, this house is starting to fall apart.
00:15:50 First, the heating went, the gas thing broke, the plumbing froze.
00:15:54 I don't know, sometimes I--
00:15:56 I think I would just like to wash my hands of this whole thing, George.
00:15:59 What is it?
00:16:00 What-- what are you thinking?
00:16:01 I have a brilliant, beyond brilliant idea.
00:16:03 Oh, yeah?
00:16:04 I say we sell this dump.
00:16:06 [laughs]
00:16:07 I'm serious.
00:16:08 George, what are you, crazy?
00:16:09 Honey, last year you said you wanted to be buried in the backyard.
00:16:12 Now you're telling me you want to sell this?
00:16:14 Nina, listen, Maddie's in school every day till 6.
00:16:17 You're at work, I'm at work.
00:16:18 You know, let's get rid of it.
00:16:19 Let's not be so by the book, you know?
00:16:21 Let's be adventurous.
00:16:22 Let's loosen up.
00:16:23 I don't know.
00:16:24 I mean, if we sell the place, then we
00:16:25 won't have room for the baby.
00:16:27 What we, Kimo Sabe?
00:16:28 It's not our baby.
00:16:29 It does need its own room in our house.
00:16:31 Well, what about Maddie?
00:16:32 Oh, like Maddie wouldn't love living at the beach?
00:16:35 The-- oh, the beach?
00:16:37 Mr. Sunscreen, please.
00:16:39 George, I mean, now you want to live at the beach?
00:16:41 Hey, you're the one who always said that one day before you
00:16:43 old you want to live by the ocean.
00:16:44 I'm telling you, Nina, this-- this leak is an omen, you know?
00:16:47 We could sell this place in a second.
00:16:48 And it's the leave it to beaver house that everybody wants.
00:16:51 You know, we'd have enough money to buy a-- a condo.
00:16:53 You know, we could get a boat.
00:16:54 We could travel.
00:16:55 And then I could get that Harley I always wanted.
00:16:57 Harley?
00:16:58 Oh, George, this has been a very big day for you.
00:17:01 First your hair, and then this thing.
00:17:06 I just-- I think we should think about things, OK?
00:17:09 OK.
00:17:10 But will you think about it, really?
00:17:12 Well, will you wash that stuff out of your hair, really?
00:17:14 Yeah.
00:17:15 OK.
00:17:16 I'll make you a deal, OK?
00:17:18 Mm-hmm.
00:17:19 One more thing goes wrong with this house,
00:17:21 we'll put it up for sale.
00:17:22 You have my word on it.
00:17:25 [ding]
00:17:28 As luck would have it, termites attacked two weeks later.
00:17:32 So we decided to give it a test run,
00:17:37 see if we got any nibbles.
00:17:38 Four weeks went by, and not a single nibble.
00:17:47 There we go.
00:17:48 There we go.
00:17:49 [chatter]
00:17:52 What are you doing?
00:17:53 Hey!
00:17:54 Hey, whoa, hey, what?
00:17:55 Hey, come on.
00:17:56 Ow!
00:17:57 Then one Saturday morning, we got a bite.
00:18:00 A big bite.
00:18:03 George, I'd like you to meet Mr. and Mrs. Habib.
00:18:06 Hello, how do you do?
00:18:07 Nice to meet you.
00:18:08 This is my son, Matty, and his friend, Justin.
00:18:10 We like house very much.
00:18:11 When you can move out.
00:18:13 Excuse me?
00:18:14 The Habibs would like to buy the house, George.
00:18:16 It's exactly what they've been looking for.
00:18:18 It's when you can move.
00:18:19 We need house a week from wedding this day.
00:18:21 And my wife wants flour, dishes in kitchen,
00:18:23 you sell, we pay top dollar.
00:18:26 For the house, top dollar?
00:18:28 [laughing]
00:18:29 Dishes.
00:18:30 For the dishes.
00:18:31 For the house, we pay what you ask, no more.
00:18:34 But we need house a week from wedding this day, or no deal.
00:18:38 Gee, that's, uh, that's 10 days from now.
00:18:40 That's kind of quick.
00:18:42 We've lived here 18 years.
00:18:43 I don't know if we can get every--
00:18:44 [chatter]
00:18:45 [speaking hebrew]
00:18:46 [clears throat]
00:18:51 Excuse, please.
00:18:52 Uh, you explain that I will do money if you sell now.
00:19:00 That will be bonus.
00:19:03 Mr. Habib is willing to pay a generous bonus
00:19:06 for whatever inconvenience moving too
00:19:08 quickly may cause you, George.
00:19:10 Daddy, we're discussing this with Mom.
00:19:12 [speaking hebrew]
00:19:13 How generous?
00:19:18 Would $15,000 be generous enough?
00:19:22 We may be making real estate history here, George.
00:19:25 Oh, yeah.
00:19:27 One, two, 3,000, four, five, six, 7,000.
00:19:39 I shook the man's hand and promised to be out in 10 days.
00:19:43 [chatter]
00:19:47 Careful with the dishes.
00:19:50 Only problem was, I didn't have the nerve to tell Nina.
00:19:54 Wonderful champagne, George.
00:19:56 Dom Perignon.
00:19:57 What are we celebrating?
00:19:59 I know.
00:20:00 That's what I was wondering.
00:20:01 What are we celebrating, dear?
00:20:03 Well, it's just the first time the whole family's been together
00:20:06 since the baby and everything.
00:20:07 Aw.
00:20:08 Aw.
00:20:09 Honey.
00:20:10 Dad, that's sweet.
00:20:11 Oh.
00:20:12 So tell us, have you thought of any names for the baby yet?
00:20:16 Well, if it's a boy, we like Cody, Cooper, Riley, or Wyatt.
00:20:21 Wyatt?
00:20:22 As in Earp?
00:20:24 Yeah.
00:20:25 You don't like it, Dad?
00:20:26 Well, I like it better than Cooper.
00:20:28 Or Riley.
00:20:29 Hey, what if it's a girl?
00:20:30 For a girl, our favorite name is Chloe.
00:20:33 Chloe?
00:20:34 Ooh, Chloe.
00:20:35 It's not even American.
00:20:36 Thank you, Matthew.
00:20:37 We realize that.
00:20:38 We also like Phoebe and Sophie.
00:20:40 And we're still debating between Lucy and Fanny.
00:20:42 You're not considering any family names?
00:20:44 Yes, isn't the first son supposed to be named after the paternal grandfather?
00:20:48 Well, he doesn't have to be named John, of course.
00:20:51 Any name on my side will do.
00:20:53 We have an Andrew in the family.
00:20:55 A Melville.
00:20:56 Jacob.
00:20:57 A Jake is a great name.
00:20:59 Hey, you know what?
00:21:00 They don't need any more suggestions.
00:21:01 Their list is fine.
00:21:02 You're absolutely right, George.
00:21:03 Anything is fine, as long as it goes with McKenzie.
00:21:07 Uh, wait a minute.
00:21:08 I thought the baby's last name was going to be Banks McKenzie with a hyphen.
00:21:10 Wasn't that the deal?
00:21:11 Would you like to go through life with the name Cooper Banks McKenzie?
00:21:14 The kid's going to sound like a law firm.
00:21:16 It's an awfully long last name, George.
00:21:18 Well, hold on.
00:21:19 What are we saying?
00:21:20 You're not going to hyphenate the last name?
00:21:21 When did this happen?
00:21:22 Nothing's been decided yet, Dad.
00:21:23 It's just that we think two last names is a lot for a little kid to deal with.
00:21:26 And since neither of us want to forfeit our names,
00:21:29 we've been coming up with alternative last names.
00:21:32 Your baby's going to have an alternative last name?
00:21:34 Like what, Smith or Jones?
00:21:35 No, because you can't make Smith or Jones from the letters of our last names.
00:21:38 Right.
00:21:39 I don't understand.
00:21:40 Well, the ones we like best are Zinman, Zankman, and Manis.
00:21:44 Oh, my.
00:21:45 Are you telling me I might have a granddaughter named Sophie Zankman?
00:21:49 Look, look, I have a simple solution here.
00:21:52 George, Nina, you already have Maddy to carry on the family name.
00:21:56 So why don't we drop this Banks McKenzie business and just go with McKenzie?
00:22:02 Or drop the McKenzie.
00:22:04 Oh, well, now, wouldn't that be silly?
00:22:07 Well, I don't think there's any sillier than dropping the Banks.
00:22:09 Well, I would venture to suggest that McKenzie is a good, solid family name.
00:22:12 I mean, the baby's just as much Banks as it is McKenzie, isn't it?
00:22:16 [chatter]
00:22:17 There's something.
00:22:19 Change the subject.
00:22:21 Hey, guess what? I sold the house today.
00:22:25 What did you say, dear?
00:22:26 Nina, I forgot to tell you.
00:22:27 While you were at the market this morning, I sold the house.
00:22:30 Well, congratulations, Gramps.
00:22:32 Where are you moving?
00:22:33 Well, we don't know exactly for sure where yet,
00:22:36 but we're thinking of maybe the beach.
00:22:37 We don't know exactly for sure where yet,
00:22:39 but George, we haven't even started looking.
00:22:42 You sold the house?
00:22:44 Dad.
00:22:45 Why is she crying?
00:22:47 Well, because I never thought they were serious about selling the house.
00:22:51 I'm sorry, Dad, but I just thought it was another goofy idea like your hair.
00:22:55 I never thought you were actually going to go through with it.
00:22:57 I love this house.
00:22:59 Well, wow.
00:23:01 I guess I just assumed we'd have a little more warning, but what do we have?
00:23:04 We have at least 90 days before we have to move. Am I right, George?
00:23:07 Oh, believe me, Nina, you can jack up an escrow six months if you need to.
00:23:11 Maddy, what's going on?
00:23:13 May I be excused?
00:23:14 No, no, sir. You may not be excused.
00:23:18 George!
00:23:19 The guy paid me $15,000 extra to be out in 10 days.
00:23:21 The guy paid you $15,000 extra to be out of the house in 10 days?
00:23:25 I hope you took it, George.
00:23:27 He did, and he threw in Mom's favorite dishes just to close the deal.
00:23:31 George!
00:23:33 I can't believe it!
00:23:35 Nina was less than thrilled about our abbreviated escrow,
00:23:52 but being the great woman that she is,
00:23:54 she went with the flow and even allowed me back into our bedroom
00:23:57 for our last night at 24 Maple Drive.
00:24:00 And since we had nowhere to live, she also arranged for us to stay at the McKenzie's
00:24:04 while they took a Caribbean cruise.
00:24:06 Honey? Honey, are you sure?
00:24:08 You don't want me to take your picture by your favorite part of the fence?
00:24:11 Oh, no, I'm fine.
00:24:13 Oh, okay.
00:24:15 Oh.
00:24:17 Hey, Nina, are you okay? I mean, you don't look so good.
00:24:20 I know, I don't really feel so good.
00:24:22 I just didn't think I'd get so emotional about this whole thing.
00:24:26 I don't know, I feel kind of dizzy.
00:24:28 So, guys, these are from the tree that we carved our initials in out back.
00:24:33 Oh!
00:24:35 Here.
00:24:37 Oh, Mom, did you get a picture of the tree?
00:24:39 Oh, just a roll, honey.
00:24:41 Oh.
00:24:42 Hey, Maddy, what's that?
00:24:44 My doorknob. I want to keep a memento for my room.
00:24:47 Oh.
00:24:49 Hey, what are we, the Schmaltz family?
00:24:52 Come on, no more tears. We're on to bigger and better things.
00:24:55 I mean, who needs this old shack? Look at it.
00:24:58 Dad, there's one more thing we have to do before we go.
00:25:09 I'm not going to dig up that parakeet from the backyard.
00:25:12 That's not what I was thinking.
00:25:14 How many times do you think we played out here?
00:25:19 About a thousand.
00:25:24 I remember our very first game.
00:25:26 Me, too.
00:25:28 I remember you were four.
00:25:39 Here you go. Here you go.
00:25:41 You had a red ribbon tied in your hair.
00:25:43 Dad!
00:25:53 Look, Dad, I can dribble. Watch.
00:25:56 That's my girl. That's my girl.
00:26:00 ( vocalizing )
00:26:03 ( vocalizing )
00:26:06 ( vocalizing )
00:26:08 ( vocalizing )
00:26:10 ( vocalizing )
00:26:14 ( vocalizing )
00:26:20 ( vocalizing )
00:26:29 ( vocalizing )
00:26:34 ( vocalizing )
00:26:36 Sorry to interrupt.
00:26:57 Oh, uh, hi.
00:27:02 You got the key, George?
00:27:04 Yeah, I have it right here.
00:27:06 I got it. No, I have it.
00:27:09 Oh, Mr. Habib, this is my daughter Annie.
00:27:12 She had her wedding here at this house.
00:27:14 Ah, yes. The key.
00:27:16 Yeah, I got it.
00:27:18 Somewhere. Did I get that?
00:27:20 Ow! Okay.
00:27:22 Oh, sorry.
00:27:24 So I'm going to here you are.
00:27:26 And here you go.
00:27:28 She's all yours.
00:27:30 Good luck, Banks.
00:27:32 You too.
00:27:34 What perfect timing. We were just about to depart.
00:27:58 Are we in a hurry?
00:28:00 Thanks so much.
00:28:02 Welcome. Make yourselves at home.
00:28:04 Come in, please.
00:28:06 I tell you what, the dog food's all in the refrigerator and marked.
00:28:09 You remember the dogs, of course.
00:28:11 Yeah.
00:28:13 ( vocalizing )
00:28:15 Fortunately, they forgot you.
00:28:17 Come here, you angels.
00:28:19 ( vocalizing )
00:28:21 I'm going to miss you guys.
00:28:26 I'll tell you, George, they're completely harmless.
00:28:28 Get a hold of yourself.
00:28:30 Now, listen, I want you to pay attention to your Uncle George and Aunt Nina.
00:28:33 All right?
00:28:35 Bye, fellas.
00:28:37 Oh, all right.
00:28:39 One more kiss, you maniac.
00:28:41 ( vocalizing )
00:28:43 John!
00:28:47 All right!
00:28:49 We're off.
00:28:51 Oh, well.
00:28:53 Help yourself to anything you see.
00:28:55 They're all yours. Enjoy.
00:28:57 Thanks so much.
00:28:59 And when you get through with that limo, send it back for us.
00:29:02 Bye.
00:29:04 ( dog whining )
00:29:06 Oh, George.
00:29:08 Let me do something.
00:29:10 They look sad.
00:29:12 Hey, guys, don't worry about a thing.
00:29:15 Uncle George is here--
00:29:17 ( dog barking )
00:29:19 All right, now just take it easy, guys.
00:29:21 It's not going to hurt you.
00:29:23 Well, as it turned out, the dogs did remember me.
00:29:25 Hey, puppy, puppy.
00:29:27 ( dog barking )
00:29:29 It was going to be a long night,
00:29:31 just the four of us in the old McKenzie mansion.
00:29:34 Hey, listen to this.
00:29:36 "Luxury beach condo, marina views,
00:29:38 "stroll along winding streams past lush, landscaped gardens."
00:29:41 Honey, are you sure you didn't attack the pet boobismal?
00:29:44 Why, you still feel sick?
00:29:46 I can't seem to shake this, and I just don't feel right.
00:29:49 You just need a good night's sleep, that's all.
00:29:51 Tomorrow--
00:29:53 ( dog whining )
00:29:55 Oh.
00:29:57 Tell him to get off.
00:29:59 Okay, come on, guys, get off.
00:30:01 Let's go. Off. Come on, off.
00:30:03 Come-- oh, forget it.
00:30:05 I gotta-- I gotta lay down.
00:30:07 Just come on, let's move over.
00:30:09 That's a good dog.
00:30:11 ( sighs )
00:30:13 What am I supposed to do, sleep standing up?
00:30:15 I don't know, honey, just push him off.
00:30:17 Come on, come on, no, no, no, fun's over.
00:30:19 Let's go, come on, get off the bed, off the bed.
00:30:21 No, come on, come on, I don't want it to get tough.
00:30:23 So just come on, let's go.
00:30:25 I mean it. Amscrade, off the bed.
00:30:28 Come on, off.
00:30:30 ( whining )
00:30:32 Get your filthy paw off my wife, you good--
00:30:34 ( barking )
00:30:36 Forget about it, it's their house, let them have the bed.
00:30:41 I'll go stay in one of the other seven bedrooms.
00:30:43 But honey, I don't want to be left alone in this big room.
00:30:46 I don't feel good.
00:30:48 Fine, I'll sleep on the floor, huh?
00:30:50 Thanks.
00:30:52 ( snoring )
00:30:55 Why don't I have an idea?
00:30:57 What if after they fall asleep, you just lift them off?
00:31:00 Oh, yeah, of course, I'll just lift them off.
00:31:03 What, are you nuts?
00:31:05 Hand me a pillow. Yep.
00:31:08 ( snoring )
00:31:10 ( whining )
00:31:17 ( yawns )
00:31:35 ( snoring )
00:31:37 Oh, I'm so naive.
00:31:39 Oh, I know what's wrong with me.
00:31:42 What? What's wrong with you?
00:31:44 It's so obvious.
00:31:46 I don't know why I didn't realize before, honey.
00:31:48 I'm going through menopause.
00:31:51 Oh, Nina, you can't be going through menopause.
00:31:55 My mother went through menopause.
00:31:57 Well, exactly, and probably at my age.
00:31:59 George, I have all the symptoms.
00:32:02 I'm late, I'm weepy all the time, I'm hot and dizzy.
00:32:06 Don't be silly. We're still so--
00:32:08 But, George, honey, we're not.
00:32:10 We're not as young as you think we are.
00:32:12 Just because we're getting older, it doesn't mean that we're old.
00:32:15 This is the '90s. Growing old isn't what it used to be.
00:32:18 Well, it's true.
00:32:20 Women my age are doing geritol ads and fix-it-it commercials.
00:32:24 Nina.
00:32:26 They are. And guess who I saw on the cover of "Longevity" magazine?
00:32:31 Barbara Bush.
00:32:33 Peggy Lipton.
00:32:35 From the Mod Squad?
00:32:41 This is reality, George.
00:32:43 Do me a favor, will you, honey?
00:32:45 Stop acting like this isn't happening.
00:32:48 Oh, do I have to?
00:32:50 Yes, yes.
00:32:52 [barking]
00:32:54 George, George, you haven't been the same
00:32:57 since the day you found out Annie was pregnant.
00:32:59 Now, I know you, and I know it takes you a long time to work these things out,
00:33:04 but I miss the old George.
00:33:06 Must you use that word?
00:33:08 All right, I miss the adorable George Banks I used to be married to.
00:33:12 Honey, you got me worried.
00:33:14 I don't know. You dyed your hair. You sold our house.
00:33:17 What's next, a 19-year-old girlfriend?
00:33:19 Nina!
00:33:20 Well, men do those kinds of things, George.
00:33:22 They don't want to grow old with their wives,
00:33:24 so they get, I don't know, new wives, young wives.
00:33:28 Just...
00:33:30 I don't know.
00:33:31 What, honey?
00:33:33 What?
00:33:35 I may dye my hair, and I may want to move to the beach, and...
00:33:39 Yeah?
00:33:40 I may hate the idea that I'm going to be a grandfather,
00:33:42 but never for one millisecond of one day
00:33:46 did I ever not want to spend the rest of my life with you.
00:33:48 Really?
00:33:49 Really.
00:33:51 And I'm sorry I've been such a jerk.
00:33:55 Oh, that's okay.
00:33:57 I'm used to it.
00:33:59 Yeah.
00:34:00 Good night.
00:34:02 Good night.
00:34:03 The doctor didn't give you any indication of why he wanted me to come with you?
00:34:11 No.
00:34:12 But he didn't say there was anything to be concerned about.
00:34:14 No, I mean, I assume this is absolutely routine.
00:34:16 I don't know, honey. I've never been through menopause before.
00:34:19 I know, but he probably just wants to tell us what to expect, unless...
00:34:22 Unless what? What?
00:34:23 Well, unless something showed up on my blood test.
00:34:27 It was too horrible to tell me over the phone,
00:34:29 and he wanted you here for support in case I flipped out.
00:34:32 Nina, well, what did the man say? What were his words?
00:34:34 Just that he thought it would be wise for us to come in together as soon as possible.
00:34:40 That's all. Okay, here we are, honey.
00:34:42 I'm sure I'm going to be fine.
00:34:44 I hope.
00:34:46 I'd never seen Nina so unglued.
00:34:49 I wasn't used to being the calm one.
00:34:53 I didn't know what the doctor was about to tell us,
00:34:55 but nothing, absolutely nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to hear.
00:35:01 I'm going to be all right.
00:35:03 Nina?
00:35:07 George?
00:35:09 Well, we ran a panel on Nina's blood.
00:35:16 Nina, whatever it is, I just want you to know I'm here for you.
00:35:20 And you can count on me. Okay.
00:35:22 We're going to get through this together. Okay? Okay.
00:35:25 So, tell us. What is it? We can handle it.
00:35:30 What's wrong with her?
00:35:33 Nothing.
00:35:35 Nothing that won't go away in nine months.
00:35:41 Kids, you're going to have a baby.
00:35:45 [sobs]
00:35:47 Excuse me? Nina's pregnant.
00:35:56 Oh, my God. Pregnant?
00:35:59 [sobs]
00:36:01 And who, may I ask, is the father?
00:36:04 George. Don't George me, you two-timing mata hari.
00:36:08 I swear, we haven't done it in six weeks.
00:36:10 I haven't just felt myself lately, but pregnant?

00:55:22 Pretzel? No, thanks.
00:55:30 [sighs]
00:55:32 All right, here's what happened.
00:55:37 When I was leaving work today, my boss calls me in,
00:55:40 tells me what a great job I'm doing, and says I have as much promise
00:55:43 as anyone she's hired since she's been at the firm.
00:55:46 Then she said the great part.
00:55:48 She said that she's been asked to select one person from my level
00:55:50 to be part of a design team that's gonna design
00:55:52 the new Boston Museum of Contemporary Art, and she picked me.
00:55:55 That's fantastic. I know, I was completely thrilled.
00:55:58 Plus, to live in Boston. I love Boston.
00:56:01 You have to, um... Move to Boston, yeah.
00:56:04 I need to be there right after the baby's born, by October.
00:56:07 Uh-huh. I knew when they hired me
00:56:10 that this was a possibility one day, and Brian knew it, too,
00:56:12 but now, well, I rush home to tell him the news,
00:56:15 and as soon as I say the word "Boston," his face drops.
00:56:17 I mean, this is the kind of opportunity everybody dreams about,
00:56:20 and we're talking Massachusetts here, not Mars.
00:56:23 So, Brian doesn't want to go?
00:56:28 Well, he said that he understood that career-wise, it was great for me,
00:56:32 but with the baby coming, he figured I wouldn't want to go.
00:56:36 Which is... Ridiculous.
00:56:38 Right. It's like under that mellow '90s gap-ad exterior of his
00:56:43 beats the heart of a 1950s husband that just expects me
00:56:46 to take a backseat to his career.
00:56:48 You said that to him? Of course.
00:56:51 To which he said I was nuts, and that all he meant was that
00:56:55 with us having a new baby, it just seemed like a crazy time
00:56:58 to move to sub-zero weather in a city full of strangers,
00:57:01 and that I should think of you guys, and of his parents,
00:57:04 and of how moving so far away would be so hard on everyone.
00:57:07 Anyway, I knew if anybody would understand how I felt, it would be you.
00:57:12 You were the one that always told me to go for my dreams, never to settle.
00:57:16 Tell me, am I being unreasonable to want to go?
00:57:20 Because if you think I am, I won't go. I won't.
00:57:23 I won't.
00:57:25 Ann, you have to go. This is not the dark ages.
00:57:34 We'll still see each other all the time. You'll just be an airplane ride away.
00:57:38 That's exactly what I said.
00:57:40 And wasn't Brian the one who said you were a gifted architect
00:57:42 and would move anywhere you got a job? Yes.
00:57:44 And wouldn't you move for him if he was the one being offered the promotion?
00:57:47 In a minute.
00:57:49 Oh, gosh. That must be him.
00:57:52 [chuckles]
00:57:54 Hi.
00:58:05 Hi, Dad.
00:58:10 Uh, Annie, I realized that...
00:58:16 Did you tell your dad?
00:58:21 Sorry, George. I didn't mean to be so lame.
00:58:23 Hey, you guys go ahead. It's not up to me.
00:58:26 Okay. Annie, I realized after you left that if the same thing happened to me,
00:58:31 you'd come with me anytime, anywhere. I would.
00:58:35 So I want to do the same for you.
00:58:37 Honey, I am so sorry.
00:58:41 I just don't want you to ever resent me for this.
00:58:47 I can work out of Boston just as easily as I can work out of L.A.
00:58:51 And I don't want you to ever resent me. Ever.
00:58:54 Okay. So then we're going.
00:59:04 Okay.
00:59:06 Baby has hiccups.
00:59:09 You can't have that.
00:59:12 [crying]
00:59:14 As I watched the kids pull out of the driveway, I got an all-too-familiar pain in my gut.
00:59:28 The one I always got when I did something for one of the kids that fell under the heading of,
00:59:32 "I did it for their own good."
00:59:37 And then I thought about baby number three and 25 more years and moments like this.
00:59:43 And suddenly, I was tired.
01:00:04 We'll be able to do it again. I'm sure I can.
01:00:08 All right. If it swishes, no problem. Father of the year.
01:00:19 Not swishes! Just goes in!
01:00:26 Well!
01:00:28 [music]
01:00:30 Well, we made it to July.
01:00:39 The Farmers' Almanac said it was the hottest month L.A. had seen in over half a century.
01:00:44 Nina was four weeks from her due date, and Annie was two days past hers.
01:00:49 Power! Power!
01:00:51 Frank and his crew were working around the clock to have the baby's room ready by D-Day.
01:00:55 Life was hectic, especially once Annie moved in.
01:00:59 Brian was called to an emergency meeting in Japan,
01:01:01 and since Annie's doctor assured us that the baby was at least another week away,
01:01:05 Brian took the red-eye to Tokyo and left Annie in our care.
01:01:09 So there I was, living with two extremely pregnant women during the worst heat wave of the century.
01:01:15 Okay.
01:01:16 Annie and Nina dealt with the heat by adding extra air conditioners to the house,
01:01:19 turning our home into the only igloo in San Marino.
01:01:22 How we doing, girls?
01:01:23 Dad, would you mind adjusting the pillow behind my back?
01:01:26 Sure, sure.
01:01:27 Yeah.
01:01:28 George, George, drop that pillow up under my foot, would you please?
01:01:31 Here we go. Here we go.
01:01:32 Lemonade?
01:01:33 Thank you, yes.
01:01:34 Oh, and George, would you please scratch my left ankle?
01:01:38 My mission was to keep them calm and comfortable.
01:01:40 I tied their shoes, massaged their backs, painted their toenails,
01:01:43 and went to every imaginable takeout restaurant in the city.
01:01:47 Oh, oh, oh. Gotta go get dinner.
01:01:49 Annie, hold down the fort while I'm gone.
01:01:52 Okay, Dad.
01:01:53 George, turn the air conditioning up on your way out. It's stifling in here.
01:01:58 Oh, boy.
01:01:59 Now, you all have my beeper number just in case.
01:02:06 Shut the door.
01:02:11 So here we go. Dinner time. Dinner time.
01:02:16 All right. Thai noodles with chicken white meat only?
01:02:18 That's me.
01:02:19 Oh, yeah, Annie.
01:02:20 And let's see. Uh, taco frondes with rice noodles?
01:02:24 Yes.
01:02:25 All right. Uh, wax bagels and cream cheese.
01:02:29 Thanks, Dad.
01:02:30 All right. Now, where's Dad? Where's Dad?
01:02:35 As the days rolled by, and nothing happened, the tension mounted.
01:02:40 I found myself watching Annie as if she were a time bomb.
01:02:44 Ouch!
01:02:45 What?
01:02:46 Ouch.
01:02:47 Oh, you see it?
01:02:49 Hey, good work.
01:02:51 Oh.
01:02:52 That's 20 points.
01:02:54 Every night, we laid out our clothes so we could grab them in a hurry.
01:02:57 We were like firefighters, ready to jump at the first alarm.
01:03:00 I'm hot.
01:03:10 Good night.
01:03:12 Good night.
01:03:13 Good night.
01:03:14 It's about that time.
01:03:31 George.
01:03:32 Everybody, stay calm.
01:03:33 Okay.
01:03:34 Now, I've mapped out the various routes to the hospital.
01:03:37 We can, uh, oh, just, uh, what time is it?
01:03:39 It's, uh, all right, it's 1136.
01:03:41 All right, so that would be 1136, plan F, uh, route B.
01:03:47 We can be there in 17 minutes.
01:03:49 Annie, don't worry. We got everything under control.
01:03:52 What is this? What am I wearing?
01:03:55 My blouse.
01:03:58 Oh, my God.
01:04:08 What happened?
01:04:09 Sorry, false alarm.
01:04:11 Oh, my God.
01:04:12 All right.
01:04:13 That's okay.
01:04:14 That's not a big deal.
01:04:15 Don't worry about it.
01:04:16 We'll be back before you know it.
01:04:18 We got home just as the sun came up.
01:04:21 The girls fell right to sleep...
01:04:23 ...as I headed off to work.
01:04:27 Hello, it's fabric day.
01:04:32 Hello, George.
01:04:34 Pleasure to see you.
01:04:35 And oddly enough, knowing Frank was at the house made me feel better.
01:04:38 Although I have no idea what he did there all day.
01:04:41 Do the baby workout.
01:04:44 Make the baby sleep.
01:04:46 Oh, that's good. That's good.
01:04:49 Little tin soldier.
01:04:51 A bit tin soldier.
01:04:53 Right?
01:04:54 And now with an attitude.
01:04:56 Hello!
01:04:57 Who are you?
01:04:59 Get away!
01:05:00 I don't like what you say.
01:05:03 Now, legs up.
01:05:06 [Birds chirping]
01:05:08 Uh-oh.
01:05:32 Mom, Dad!
01:05:33 Plaguetto, what flavor?
01:05:35 No flavor. This is it.
01:05:37 Good. I didn't even get undressed this time.
01:05:39 Where's my chart?
01:05:41 George, don't forget the suitcase!
01:05:48 I won't!
01:05:49 Dad, keys!
01:05:54 [Door slams]
01:05:56 I think I can tell the difference between labor pains and indigestion.
01:06:07 Yeah.
01:06:08 I'm really sorry, Mom.
01:06:10 Really.
01:06:11 Mom.
01:06:13 I understand, honey.
01:06:14 You know, I think...
01:06:15 Oh, boy, I think I just gotta...
01:06:17 I'm gonna lie down here.
01:06:18 Just for a sec.
01:06:19 I'll meet you.
01:06:22 I'm gonna go catch a few winks before I...
01:06:24 Oh.
01:06:29 Dad, where have you been? I'm late for camp.
01:06:33 Camp?
01:06:34 Camp.
01:06:35 Come on!
01:06:36 At this point, I hadn't slept in 48 hours.
01:06:39 Have a good day at work, George.
01:06:41 Yeah, Dad. Good night.
01:06:44 [♪♪♪]
01:06:48 [♪♪♪]
01:06:51 [♪♪♪]
01:07:20 Hello! Puppet's home!
01:07:22 I've got a surprise for you, George.
01:07:24 I'm sorry I can't stay, George, but I...
01:07:27 [sneezes]
01:07:28 Whoops. I caught a cold from your house.
01:07:31 Come on, George. Hurry up, Kavika.
01:07:34 I'm too tired to Kavika.
01:07:36 Okay, George, this is it. The baby suit is finished.
01:07:39 Think of it, Bobby. After today, I'm out of your heart.
01:07:41 Did we come in on budget?
01:07:42 Close enough, George. Close enough.
01:07:44 Now close those eyes.
01:07:45 Oh, Frank, you're not gonna close your eyes.
01:07:47 Oh, don't "oh, Frank" me. You never once have any fun.
01:07:49 Now close those eyes.
01:07:51 Drumroll, if you please.
01:07:53 [imitates drumroll]
01:07:55 Okay, open up.
01:07:59 [♪♪♪]
01:08:02 Welcome to baby land.
01:08:18 It's beautiful.
01:08:20 Thank you, sir.
01:08:21 I mean, it's perfect.
01:08:23 Oh, well, coming from you, George Boggs,
01:08:26 that means a lot.
01:08:29 A lot.
01:08:31 A whole lot.
01:08:35 And here's the bill.
01:08:39 Just don't go nuts, George.
01:08:41 Just try to remember what you feel right at this moment, okay?
01:08:45 In fact, do me a favor. Maybe you'll open it after I leave.
01:08:48 That would be better.
01:08:50 George!
01:09:01 He's up here, and he loves it!
01:09:03 Oh, well, good. Honey, dinner's ready.
01:09:06 She cooked?
01:09:07 She wants to give you a break.
01:09:09 She's been cooking up a storm all day in that freezing Gichlan.
01:09:12 [chuckles]
01:09:13 What's the matter, George? You look a little pooped.
01:09:15 I haven't slept in three days.
01:09:17 I try to sleep at work, but I keep thinking any minute
01:09:19 one of them's gonna go into labor, and I just end up--
01:09:21 Totally wired. Trust me, I know the feeling.
01:09:24 And you know how I spare relief?
01:09:26 V-A-T-S-N-I-K.
01:09:28 V-A-T-S-N-I-K?
01:09:30 Varnik, the best sleeping pill in the whole wide world.
01:09:33 I swear by them.
01:09:35 Oh, no, no, no, I don't take sleeping pills.
01:09:37 Oh, George, you need your rust.
01:09:39 You do. What if they need you, and you're rocking into walls?
01:09:42 Look, I never take pills myself, but sometimes I need to rust.
01:09:46 So I take half out, and I close my eyes,
01:09:49 and I wake up a new man, refreshed and replenished,
01:09:52 and roaring to go.
01:09:54 Just enough to keep them. They're very mild.
01:09:56 Mild?
01:09:57 You'll thank me. You'll see.
01:09:59 George, prom, dinner!
01:10:01 On your way, Kavika!
01:10:03 I'm so happy that you like the room, George.
01:10:08 Sit next to me at dinner, okay?
01:10:11 [chuckles]
01:10:13 Hi, Dad. Hey, Maddy, how was camp?
01:10:32 Good. Ann, how you feeling?
01:10:34 Great, really energized. Brian's coming home tomorrow.
01:10:37 Don't think we'll see any action tonight?
01:10:39 I don't think so, Dad.
01:10:41 Hey, honey, how you feeling?
01:10:43 Oh, good, fine. Went to the doctor today.
01:10:45 Ann? Ann, right on schedule.
01:10:47 Three weeks.
01:10:49 Here goes.
01:10:51 Dad, what are you taking?
01:10:57 Well, Dad hadn't been sleeping so well lately,
01:10:59 so I thought I'd take a couple of very mild sleeping pills.
01:11:02 Please pass the rolls.
01:11:08 Thanks.
01:11:10 Dad?
01:11:12 What's he doing?
01:11:14 George! George!
01:11:16 I never saw anything like it. He said pass the rolls.
01:11:19 By the time I passed him, he was gone.
01:11:21 George!
01:11:22 George, I love you.
01:11:24 Oh, my God, George!
01:11:25 He's not dead, Mom. He just took two sleeping pills.
01:11:28 He took them both?
01:11:29 You gave him sleeping pills?
01:11:31 Well, he said he could not sleep, but that two was like...
01:11:34 Goodbye, George. See you next Thursday.
01:11:36 I don't think he would take the both.
01:11:38 Well, Thursdays, I took half of what Nick and Ima got.
01:11:41 He took them both in advance?
01:11:43 Not that way to me.
01:11:44 Then let's let him sleep.
01:11:46 Matthew, help me get him into the loft.
01:11:48 Can I help him some way?
01:11:49 You and Mommy then can do it.
01:11:50 On three, we lift, Matthew.
01:11:51 One, two, and we go.
01:11:53 George!
01:11:55 Drop that boy on me.
01:11:59 Am I moving?
01:12:00 Yes, you're moving.
01:12:02 Oh, dear.
01:12:03 Oh, oh.
01:12:04 Oh, darling!
01:12:05 Am I getting shorter?
01:12:06 Oh, no, second strength.
01:12:08 Up.
01:12:09 Okay.
01:12:10 Frank?
01:12:13 Yeah?
01:12:14 Is he breathing?
01:12:15 Yes, breathing and drooling.
01:12:16 Oh, honey.
01:12:17 Oh, dear.
01:12:18 There you go.
01:12:19 Oh, oh.
01:12:20 Mom, where are the spots, Nick, anyway?
01:12:22 I've never heard of it. Are they prescription?
01:12:24 Not yet. They're from my country.
01:12:25 They're not exactly legal, but trust me,
01:12:27 they're no funny side effects.
01:12:29 I've been taking them for years.
01:12:31 I know.
01:12:32 Okay, he's going to be fine.
01:12:34 Don't you worry.
01:12:35 Mom?
01:12:36 Well, if he's so fine, why are you taking his pulse?
01:12:38 Well, just to check it. Pulse oxalate.
01:12:40 See? He's fine.
01:12:41 He's going to sleep like a little lamb.
01:12:43 Okay.
01:12:44 George.
01:12:45 Nina!
01:12:46 What?
01:12:47 Mom, this is it.
01:12:48 I'm not kidding this time.
01:12:49 Are you sure?
01:12:50 Yes.
01:12:51 I'm going to have this baby tonight.
01:12:52 All right, Frank.
01:12:53 Frank, we need you to drive us to the hospital.
01:12:55 I'm too big to get behind the wheel.
01:12:57 Frank!
01:12:58 [speaking in foreign language]
01:13:00 Frank!
01:13:01 Frank, we need you.
01:13:02 Could you drive us to the hospital, Frank?
01:13:04 Huh?
01:13:05 Hmm.
01:13:06 Thank you.
01:13:07 The hospital, I'll drive you there.
01:13:09 Take the suitcase.
01:13:10 I'll be there in a moment.
01:13:11 Hurry up.
01:13:12 Ladies, not a worry.
01:13:13 We have no problem.
01:13:15 Good.
01:13:16 Then hurry.
01:13:17 Can I drive?
01:13:18 No.
01:13:19 George, wake up!
01:13:20 Please, wake up.
01:13:22 You're going to be the grandpapa.
01:13:24 Oh, George, don't do this.
01:13:26 I am not the husband.
01:13:27 I am not the father.
01:13:28 I'm not the 911 man.
01:13:29 Rise and shine, big white head man.
01:13:32 Oh, there we go.
01:13:34 All right, look at that.
01:13:36 Oh, OK.
01:13:37 [speaking in foreign language]
01:13:38 All right.
01:13:39 Now it's all narrow-clipped.
01:13:41 Right, left, right, left, left, right, right.
01:13:48 Oh, George.
01:13:51 Oh!
01:13:52 Oh, no.
01:13:54 Oh, George.
01:13:55 They're almost there.
01:13:57 And we move.
01:13:59 And running, standing.
01:14:03 [speaking in foreign language]
01:14:07 They're moving.
01:14:08 Moving, George.
01:14:09 Oh!
01:14:12 Gee, I changed the throne.
01:14:14 This is not the time to think about that.
01:14:16 Let's get the head.
01:14:19 [speaking in foreign language]
01:14:21 Follow me!
01:14:25 [speaking in foreign language]
01:14:28 Wrong!
01:14:35 Wrong way!
01:14:36 Right turn here.
01:14:41 Right.
01:14:42 [gasps]
01:14:43 How's the maintenance department doing?
01:14:48 I'm hanging in there.
01:14:49 Just hurry, please.
01:14:50 [gasps]
01:14:53 Oh!
01:14:54 Oh!
01:14:55 Oh!
01:14:56 George, get a hold of yourself.
01:14:58 Make a left here.
01:14:59 Left here!
01:15:00 All right.
01:15:01 [screams]
