00:00 It's a new system, defensive system.
00:03 And this team in particular creates a lot of different challenges that
00:08 we have complex layers to our defense that we're still in the base defense phase.
00:15 So we walked through some of the coverages this morning and
00:18 just ask for guys to compete through those things even though they're not.
00:22 Those guys are capable ball handlers, Grayson in particular,
00:26 it's really showing me something offensively.
00:29 Especially when those guys are out, he can really carry the load for us.
00:33 But when he is on the backside and with those guys scoring,
00:36 he's gonna really give us a different dynamic.
00:39 And Joe as well, shooting the ball with confidence from the perimeter but
00:42 also attacking and his ability to use the space that those three guys create,
00:48 to attack the basket, he's an exceptional driver.
00:51 So both of those guys really gonna help us offensively.
00:54 Drew, you might have swirled his ankle.
00:56 We were gonna bring him in till about the four minute mark and
00:59 Drew rolled his ankle.
01:01 Trainer said he wanna look at him.
01:02 So we just got Boal in for a minute to figure out Drew was okay.
01:07 And then we put Drew right back in and
01:09 kept Boal's regular rotation, where's that?
01:12 >> How do you feel about Boal's [INAUDIBLE]
01:16 >> Really good, I like to be behind a back pass turnover.
01:19 But the rest of it, I thought he really competed and
01:22 he's gonna be a wild card for us this year.
01:25 Someone that can mix pitches and give opponents a different look and
01:29 give us a different dynamic.
01:30 Yeah, pretty good.
01:32 We got crossed up on some of the the Joker Murray switches that we wanna do and
01:39 where we wanna switch.
01:41 We have precise rules on that type of stuff.
01:44 We got crossed up on some of that.
01:45 But I thought on the ball, he really competed against Jokic.
01:50 And what I really liked is that we were able to go back at him on the other end.
01:55 I think he can do 2000 on him on post ups and play the power post game,
02:00 which is it's not a Jokic thing, it's an opponent's best player thing.
02:05 We always wanna make the opponent's best player defend on the other end,
02:08 however that looks.
02:10 And I thought you should did a great job of that.
02:12 Yeah, it's invaluable.
02:14 It's an opportunity for them to earn minutes and
02:16 press the coach with what they're picking up with our system.
02:20 It's a little bit imperfect because a lot of those guys are being asked to do more
02:24 than they typically are gonna be asked to do when they're playing with their
02:27 starters or in the rotation.
02:30 But yeah, it's an opportunity for them to go and compete and
02:34 show that they're picking up our system.
02:36 >> Thanks, coach.
02:38 >> Yeah.
02:38 - Thanks.
