00:00 A victim of human trafficking was saved while on her way to the United Arab Emirates.

00:06 A Peking Travel Authority is now investigating if this is another modus, like the Pastillas scheme.

00:25 She will be flying abroad soon to work as an entertainer.

00:30 She was a tourist who was going to Singapore.

00:33 She was seen by a travel authority from the Department of Justice.

00:38 The truth is that this victim will be going to the United Arab Emirates to work there as an entertainer.

00:47 She already has a debt before she went there

00:50 because the costs of her fake documents will be reduced.

00:58 This was seen by the travel authority, which is considered a trafficking victim.

01:05 It has a letterhead of the Justice Department and it was signed by Justice Undersecretary Nicholas T.

01:12 It was signed by USEC in charge of the Interagency Council Against Trafficking or IACAT, which is focused on human trafficking.

01:20 Perhaps in the hopes that we will not be able to trace or look at their documents.

01:27 In the travel authority, there were some discrepancies that were seen.

01:31 The signature of USECT was also different from what was seen in the document.

01:36 Our agency is in close coordination with the IACAT.

01:40 So it was very easy for us to verify if it was indeed issued by the Department of Justice.

01:46 She only got her documents right before leaving for the airport.

01:53 She got it from a fast food chain near the airport.

01:57 T. was concerned that the DOJ's internal process may be known by the public.

02:05 Although she is considered a victim, the DOJ is still investigating if a passenger who was rescued from a human trafficking tank was a violation of the law.

02:16 She is in custody by the IACAT while the incident is being investigated.

02:21 According to the Justice Department, this is not a simple case where only one person was the victim.

02:28 Well, congratulations to those who were caught. Thank you. But it doesn't end there.

02:34 The past few days, I've been receiving many calls about certain acts of corruption being practiced in the BI, escort services for that matter.

02:48 We're looking at that right now. I will be in conference with the immigration commissioner.

02:54 It is also being investigated if this is almost the same as the pastille scheme in the past where immigrants were being escorted to the immigration office in exchange for money on paper.

03:05 This problem is not a problem anymore but it will return. The attraction of illicit money is very strong to these people.

03:13 The Bureau of Immigration has been called to account by the IACAT to find out who is behind the alleged syndicate inside the immigration bureau.
