00:00 I apologize to the girl who sent me a DM
00:02 that I thought was gonna spoil the episode,
00:05 but we're not even at the wedding,
00:07 so I'm so sorry, girl.
00:08 You can send me the DMs again.
00:10 Like, don't, mm-mm, my apologies.
00:12 Hello, everybody, welcome back to my channel.
00:13 My name is Queenie.
00:14 For those who don't know me,
00:16 reviewing, what show is this?
00:20 Love is Blind, season five, episode nine.
00:22 Before I get into it,
00:23 please make sure to like this video,
00:25 subscribe and hit the bell,
00:26 and leave a comment down below.
00:28 Also, quick shout-out, 'cause this still blows my mind.
00:32 Quick shout-out to the people who I saw
00:35 at the event that I was at.
00:36 It is so,
00:37 it is so cool that people I don't know know me,
00:42 and I'm just like, oh my gosh, like, wow.
00:44 So yeah, shout-out to you guys.
00:45 You guys really made my day.
00:46 Okay, with this episode,
00:48 it started off with the couples going,
00:51 oh, another thing, too.
00:53 Guys, apparently there were five couples
00:57 that went to Mexico.
00:59 The three that we know,
01:01 Renee and Carter, who I've already talked about,
01:02 and Renee has spoken out,
01:04 and so I'm gonna do a video on that.
01:05 It's probably gonna come out tomorrow.
01:06 And then a fifth couple,
01:09 who has been completely X'd out
01:11 because they are in an open lawsuit
01:13 against Kinetic right now.
01:16 On top of that, I've seen all your messages
01:19 about Aaliyah talking to Cameron Hamilton
01:24 about her relationship with Uche and all that.
01:27 I will do the review on that as well.
01:29 We're gonna talk about it,
01:35 but wow, this season,
01:36 yeah, it's looking like love is blind.
01:41 It might be on its way out.
01:42 But anyways, we see the couples
01:45 going to get their marriage licenses,
01:46 which was cool.
01:47 That was a new thing.
01:49 And then Nick and Vanessa pop up.
01:51 I know everybody doesn't like them,
01:52 but we barely get to see them, guys.
01:54 They pop up to do the suit and dress shopping.
01:57 They try to make Renee's story fit
02:00 into her being there for Lydia,
02:02 even though we know that's not the case.
02:04 And to me,
02:06 this part just never...
02:10 I don't care.
02:12 - Oh my God, why are you crying?
02:14 It's supposed to be fun.
02:16 - I know, it's just getting real.
02:18 - I'm madly in love with her.
02:20 I'm just more happy than anything.
02:23 - Sorry, now I'm just filled with love,
02:25 happiness and ready to go.
02:27 - She's stubborn as hell.
02:29 She's a brat, but I love it.
02:32 - He says that we always write women.
02:34 Well, it's true.
02:35 - It was so funny to me seeing Izzy's mom
02:39 in the mix with all the guys.
02:41 I'm just like, "Oh, she's so cute.
02:42 I fricking love her."
02:44 And then I wasn't really listening
02:46 to much of the conversations
02:47 'cause I just don't care about the shopping part.
02:49 But I did hear Milton say that Lydia is a brat
02:54 and, oh shoot, what was the other word he said?
02:58 Explosive.
02:59 He seems to find it endearing.
03:04 I would be concerned.
03:06 But hey, it's not my relationship, it's his.
03:08 As we know, Izzy has been told
03:09 that his gestures are going unnoticed,
03:11 so therefore he is ramping them up
03:13 and he is giving Stacey this very luxury,
03:18 private, exclusive experience.
03:20 - I wanted to give her a little bit of a sample
03:22 of what the rest of our life is gonna look like.
03:25 - So I've gotta be somewhere this Sunday.
03:30 - Stacey's father did tell me that he loved his first class,
03:32 so that's what I had lined up for her today.
03:34 - He also was told that she loves private jets.
03:38 Shoot, let my love be first class too.
03:42 Let my love be private jets too,
03:44 because wow, I think the best I've done is business.
03:48 I'm elevating myself.
03:50 My love is first class.
03:52 Izzy says that he is concerned
03:54 about his family's perception of him
03:56 because of this experiment
03:57 and obviously how it's structured.
04:00 It looks like this is fake or whatever.
04:03 So he's deciding not to invite
04:05 a lot of his family members to the wedding.
04:07 - I don't want any opinions or anything like that there.
04:12 People who are coming are the people
04:14 that mean the most to me
04:14 that have been most genuine and supportive,
04:17 even when I haven't been the perfect person.
04:19 - This man was not kidding in the pods
04:21 when he said that he wants to leave and cleave,
04:25 leave his own family and cleave to his wife's family.
04:28 And I understand with the history that he's coming from,
04:33 I mean, not even knowing his biological father
04:36 for a long time, his stepfather,
04:39 forcing him into a lifestyle that he did not resonate with
04:43 and then finding out he had all these other siblings
04:45 and whatever later, like it's a lot.
04:46 It's kind of tumultuous.
04:48 It seems like his closest family member is just his mama,
04:51 him and his mama.
04:52 So yeah, my only question is that,
04:55 my only question is her family, Stacey's family
05:01 was just as critical, if not more,
05:03 about his ability to provide, his stability in his life.
05:08 And so if he's unable to like prove his worth,
05:13 I hate having to say that,
05:14 but for lack of a better phrase,
05:17 if he's unable to prove his worth,
05:19 he's going to feel less than in this family as well.
05:22 So it doesn't remedy what he's trying to like leave, you know?
05:27 Milton meets up with his sister
05:30 and he believes that the family meeting
05:32 actually went a lot better than he expected.
05:35 - We're passionate.
05:36 And we give.
05:38 We don't give emotion.
05:40 Marriage is huge.
05:43 - And what does mama always say?
05:44 - Your perception is your reality.
05:46 You guys are still part of the process.
05:47 We all know I'd probably still do it anyway.
05:49 - I've seen a lot of conflicting opinions
05:52 on how Milton's family treated Lydia.
05:54 Some of you guys feel like it was out of line.
05:56 Some of you guys particularly did not like
05:58 the accent question that the mom asked.
06:03 I didn't really think too much of it,
06:06 but I could see how it is rubbing people the wrong way.
06:09 They also did give her a grilling,
06:12 but I felt like Lydia held her own.
06:13 Other people feel as if Lydia is just like the mama.
06:17 When the mama was talking about--
06:19 When the sister was calling out the mom,
06:21 saying that she's gonna do some FBI investigation,
06:23 people were like, "Well, that's just like Lydia."
06:26 So some conflicting opinions on that.
06:29 I do think that he comes from a measured, stoic family
06:34 and Lydia is very much not that, at the moment.
06:41 She wants to be, but she's not that.
06:43 And so, are they too different to get along
06:48 or is it just enough imbalance to balance?
06:52 Does that make sense?
06:54 It makes sense in my head.
06:55 Like, they're just so opposite
06:57 that eventually they'll find a way to meet in the middle.
06:59 Like, they'll balance each other.
07:00 Y'all know, I know.
07:01 Y'all grown, y'all understand what I'm saying.
07:03 And then Milton says to his sister,
07:07 "Even if y'all don't approve,
07:09 I'm gonna go through with it anyways
07:11 because I've run through the analytics
07:12 and I feel like I'm making the right decision."
07:15 I don't feel like he's run through all the analytics,
07:19 but I do appreciate a man
07:21 who could stand behind his decisions.
07:23 He is a big man in stature
07:27 and technically, I guess you could say, in age.
07:29 He's grown, he's living his own life.
07:31 So if he feels like he's making the right decision,
07:33 then cool.
07:34 This is kind of similar to what I tell my mom all the time.
07:36 Like, you raised me.
07:39 So if you don't have faith in me,
07:40 you don't have faith in yourself.
07:41 So I should be able to make my own decisions
07:43 because you did a good job, right?
07:46 All right.
07:47 After this big romantic date that Izzy and Stacey had,
07:51 they're having this awkward tension.
07:53 And at first we don't know what it's about.
07:55 I was thinking maybe it's the fact
07:56 that they have shoes on the bed.
07:59 Or maybe it's the fact that this man cannot fold his clothes
08:02 into the damn suitcase.
08:03 But no, it's about bad credit.
08:06 - Like I tell you everything.
08:08 I would not not tell you.
08:11 And for me, I wanted to have this conversation
08:14 very formal because I knew it was gonna be long.
08:17 - I feel like a lot of times you ramble
08:19 and maybe are skirting around the actual answer
08:23 of what I'm asking you.
08:24 - I have to work on,
08:25 but it's not like I'm trying to beat around the bush.
08:27 But I mean, it's like with everything,
08:29 like I would not, I would not try to lie to you.
08:32 - A few things stuck out to me.
08:34 Stuck out to me, stood out, stood.
08:37 I noticed a few things.
08:39 They both waited to really talk about finances
08:44 until after the pause.
08:46 And so yes, Stacy had the conversation earlier,
08:49 but she's kind of annoyed with Izzy for waiting
08:51 because she felt like this was an important thing to know.
08:54 But I'm like, but girl, you waited too.
08:57 You waited too.
08:58 So I don't really know.
09:01 What we're getting from this conversation
09:02 is that he doesn't have a good credit
09:04 and there were opportunities
09:05 where he could have brought it up,
09:07 but he didn't.
09:08 However, Johnny knew.
09:10 Johnny knew.
09:13 Why did he feel so comfortable telling Johnny and not Stacy?
09:17 Izzy?
09:20 Interesting.
09:22 Then Johnny, not, fricking hell.
09:25 What's her name?
09:26 Stacy.
09:27 Stacy is noticing that Izzy tends to deflect
09:32 whenever his back is against the wall.
09:35 And this is what I've been saying.
09:37 Some people have caught it, some people haven't.
09:40 The man knows how to finagle his way out of being the villain
09:45 and turn himself into the victim.
09:48 It's like the victim Olympics.
09:49 As soon as Stacy voices some kind of concern,
09:52 he all of a sudden has a bigger concern
09:54 that now takes precedence in the conversation.
09:56 That is so manipulative.
09:58 It's so unfair.
09:59 This is not the victim Olympics.
10:01 You can't just worm your way out of an argument
10:03 just because you can find a bigger qualm to have with me
10:06 than I have with you.
10:07 At some point, we're still gonna have to address this qualm.
10:09 So fine, you can have your moment,
10:11 but we're gonna get back to this.
10:13 So I don't know what the resolution
10:14 of this conversation is.
10:15 I guess she's gonna help him with the credit thing.
10:18 He says he's not in debt.
10:20 It's just bad credit.
10:22 I honestly don't think bad credit
10:23 is like the end all and be all of life.
10:26 You can build your credit.
10:28 Like I was saying on live, I don't even have good credit,
10:31 but I'm leasing this place without a guarantor
10:33 or a cosigner.
10:34 So like, it's not the end of the world,
10:36 but definitely given the life that Stacey is living
10:40 and the warning of the dad talking about,
10:42 if you default, this falls on me,
10:44 I understand why it's a concern for her.
10:46 Lydia and Milton go to this like mineral museum thing.
10:51 And listen, I hate museums.
10:52 I cannot stand there.
10:53 So frigging boring.
10:55 But this mineral thing, it was really cute.
10:58 - I don't feel like I get nervous to like the day of.
11:00 - I'm gonna get really nervous the day of.
11:03 - So you never thought how, like,
11:05 how will you like your wife to be?
11:06 - Sometimes you wake up very cranky for no reason.
11:10 - How long?
11:11 Let's just, we're there.
11:12 How long?
11:13 For how many days?
11:13 - About a day.
11:14 - So food, besides your bed stable,
11:16 like have us there for three days?
11:18 - I don't even know it was by my bed.
11:19 - I'm gonna have to write down the location of this place.
11:21 No, honestly, I'm so taken.
11:22 I'm gonna be in Houston real soon.
11:25 I'm going to this mineral thing
11:26 and y'all gonna see pictures of me on social media
11:27 in this mineral museum.
11:29 Anyways, remember in the pods when Milton was joking
11:34 about things like asking for permission to do stuff,
11:40 hang out with friends, sleep late or whatever.
11:43 And Lydia was like, well, I'm not your mom.
11:45 I'm not gonna mom you.
11:46 That's the dynamic that they have.
11:48 That is 100% the dynamic that they have.
11:50 He's not asking for permission to do stuff,
11:51 but he does need to be followed after
11:54 to clean after himself.
11:55 It can get on your nerves.
11:58 It really can.
12:00 I did say earlier, don't let roommate issues
12:03 become relationship problems.
12:05 But at some point it does become a relationship issue
12:09 if your listening skills aren't great,
12:11 your communication skills aren't great,
12:12 you don't pay attention to things,
12:16 your attention to detail is just in the pits.
12:18 Like, no, get it together, sir.
12:21 She said the dishes of him eating something
12:24 and like leaving it by the bed
12:25 had been there like two, three days.
12:27 Milton, no.
12:31 No, Milton, no, okay, no.
12:33 He believes that she needs to be
12:39 more measured when it comes to her
12:46 emotional outbursts and stuff.
12:48 And it's not that I don't agree,
12:49 but I don't like the way that he handled it.
12:52 He could've said like, okay,
12:54 in that conversation with Uche,
12:57 how do you think you could've showed up
13:02 in a way that was better, something, anything,
13:08 instead of saying, this is what you need to do.
13:10 You need to be more like me.
13:12 You need to change your--
13:13 No, it sounds very judgmental.
13:15 It sounds very critical.
13:16 And I don't think it's gonna land well for a lot of people.
13:19 His rebuttal is, well, you always telling me
13:21 that I need to clean after myself
13:22 and I don't feel like you're judging me.
13:23 Different, totally different.
13:25 Your living habits are absolutely jarring, though.
13:27 That's a problem.
13:28 And the funny thing is about falling in love with somebody,
13:31 you never expect that their living habits
13:33 are going to disrupt your atmosphere.
13:36 That is just a crazy thing.
13:37 But what he is judging her on is a character thing.
13:42 And so I felt like he could've walked her
13:44 through alternative reactions
13:48 rather than just saying, don't do this.
13:51 That's my opinion.
13:53 What else do I have in here?
13:54 He thinks that she likes arguments or likes to fight.
13:59 And she was saying, it's just a disagreement.
14:01 I don't think that disagreements are bad.
14:03 I think that conflict resolution is great.
14:06 He doesn't want conflict at all.
14:08 I think that's very naive of you.
14:09 Your age is showing.
14:10 Conflict is necessary.
14:12 And conflict does not equate fighting,
14:15 arguments, yelling, screaming.
14:16 No, it just means we have a difference
14:18 in opinion on one thing.
14:19 Can we come to a resolve
14:21 or can we agree to accept the differences
14:23 in our perspectives?
14:25 Anyways, I feel like Lydia has been growing
14:29 from this process because when she's getting
14:31 very irritated with him, she decides to take a second,
14:34 collect herself, and then rejoin the conversation.
14:38 - I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.
14:39 - I'm sorry that I don't abide by your expectations.
14:44 - And I'm sorry that I done things that you don't like.
14:47 - God forbid if what my mind doesn't say,
14:49 my face doesn't say.
14:51 - I love you.
14:52 - I love you too.
14:54 - I like that they both acknowledge
14:55 what their temperament is,
14:56 but in the acknowledgement,
14:58 what is the attempt to do better?
15:01 If I say, "I know I have an explosive personality,"
15:05 and I just leave it there,
15:06 okay, what are we gonna do about that?
15:11 So I do think that they could meet in the middle.
15:14 He could be a little bit more emotionally expressive.
15:18 She could be a little bit more measured
15:21 or maybe calculate your reactions
15:24 before you just let things spark a big reaction out of you.
15:29 They also need to work on their apologies
15:31 because he's like, "I apologize if I hurt your feelings."
15:35 She walked away and had to collect herself.
15:36 You obviously hurt her feelings.
15:37 And she was like, "I'm sorry I don't measure up
15:39 to your expectations."
15:40 Girl, now you're being petty.
15:42 Now you're being petty, but listen,
15:44 in this life, we all have things to work on.
15:46 I think that there is some real growth and development
15:49 from these two, which is so mind-blowing.
15:52 But yeah, that is it.
15:55 Predictions?
15:56 Actually, no, let me not predict
15:58 because it was spoiled for me
15:59 and I think that that would just be a spoiler
16:01 if I was to predict for you.
16:02 But like, comment, share, and subscribe.
16:04 We are almost there.
16:05 I'll do the video of Renee and the mystery couple tomorrow.
16:10 So yeah, I will see you guys then.
