00:00 Stakeholders, especially those in government, recognize the value of a post-conflict needs
00:05 assessment to help guide government as it continues to rehabilitate the once war-torn
00:10 city of Marawi.
00:11 Johaira Dedato of PIA Lano-Gil-Soar has the full details.
00:18 Some line agencies have continuously joined forces to refine the updated post-conflict
00:24 needs assessment or PCNA report detailing the evaluation of the aftermath of the historic
00:29 firefight that transpired in Marawi City in 2017.
00:33 Presidential Assistant for Marawi Rehabilitation Assistant Secretary Felix Castro Jr. stressed
00:39 that this was a crucial undertaking as the outcome would serve as one of the basis of
00:45 the MCB in the compensation of siege victims.
00:48 This was affirmed by the OCD, who stated that the required data outlined in the document
00:54 are indeed seen as essential elements in the works of the MCB, especially that this would
00:59 also cover all the narratives of concerned sectors.
01:02 I wish that they will be able to deliver the data and they will be able to finalize because
01:12 this is needed very badly.
01:16 The OCD also shared that they collaborated with the Marawi City government to request
01:21 for supporting information and the MCB for solid observation and suggestions on what
01:26 else to incorporate in the existing draft sectoral report.
01:30 The OCD noted that the report was already 85% done and they are committed to wrap this
01:35 up by the end of November this year.
01:37 This is needed.
01:38 We don't have an extension.
01:39 We really have to finish this.
01:41 No choice but the participants to really have to work overtime.
01:46 Juhay Radidado of the Philippine Information Agency, Lano del Sur for the Nation.
