00:06 The series is an overview of the Great Barrier Reef.
00:09 It's probably the only overview of the Great Barrier Reef that's ever been done.
00:12 It covers all aspects of the reef.
00:14 The first show is about the story of coral.
00:16 It's the classic story of coral and the little animals that go into making this vast structure that's the Great Barrier Reef.
00:22 All the amazing little interactions, all the animals that live on it.
00:25 The reef's changing all the time.
00:26 The visibility changes, the fish change.
00:29 So it's about the ever-changing world of the coral reef.
00:32 The second program is about the different habitats that are part of the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem.
00:37 So not a lot of people realize that only 7% of the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem is coral.
00:42 The rest is made up of all these amazing habitats.
00:45 Mangroves, seagrass, beds, rivers, jungles, and this huge lagoon that connects all of them.
00:51 The third program is about the reef's relationship with the outside world.
00:55 And that includes the animals that come to visit it, the pelagic species like tiger sharks and green turtles and minky whales and humpback whales.
01:03 It's about the weather systems that interact with it, like the cyclones.
01:07 And it's also about the wider reef and how it relates to the world.
01:10 And of course that brings in the ecological story of global warming, of ocean acidification, and all those kind of things.
01:17 So the series encompasses everything about the reef.
01:20 It is the definitive portrait of the Great Barrier Reef.
