Despite this, young entrepreneurs thrive outside the city in unique and innovative ways. 00:00 I was 23 when I started We Buy Mum.
00:02 My wife and I started this business when we were 24.
00:05 I'm 24, I live in Ballarat and I own the Minority Co.
00:08 I opened a little coffee shop called Tortoise Espresso when I was 16.
00:12 Almost half of young people see themselves as entrepreneurs in the future.
00:17 And the other part is that 40% of young people are prioritising social impact in career choices.
00:22 When those two are combined, it's extremely powerful.
00:25 The young people are definitely equipped with digital skills,
00:28 which is an exciting arm of entrepreneurship.
00:31 What I do is go on around social media,
00:35 create content based around fitness, training.
00:38 I was a freelancer, then I started my own digital marketing agency.
00:42 I can see how a lot of these characteristics I have has helped me think outside the square
00:49 and really grow my entrepreneurial spirit.
