00:00 All right, it's time to take a look at
00:02 what to expect for next week.
00:04 Our long range expert meteorologist
00:05 Joe Lumberg. What are the three things
00:07 that we're looking for for next week?
00:09 Well, it could be a case of deja vu all
00:12 over again. Another weekend storm is
00:13 possible in the Northeast next weekend.
00:15 Looks like there may be a little rain.
00:17 The plains in Midwest surfers.
00:19 Some minor drought relief
00:20 doesn't look like much.
00:21 Good news is the tropics look like
00:23 they'll be quiet at least in terms
00:25 of how they will impact the US.
00:27 And speaking of the tropics show,
00:28 we're going to be talking about
00:30 into the Western Pacific,
00:31 a powerful typhoon,
00:32 and this is going to have impacts along
00:34 the eastern United States late next week.
00:36 Yes, it is. This is Bolivian.
00:38 It's a super typhoon.
00:39 It's moving through the Western Pacific.
00:41 It's moving north right now,
00:42 and let's track this over
00:43 the next several days.
00:44 You can kind of see it.
00:46 We've got it highlighted in this area here,
00:48 and over the course of the next few days,
00:51 it will move northeastern and it's
00:52 being guided by an upper level trough
00:54 of low pressure here in eastern Asia.
00:56 That's pushing this northeastern
00:57 area over the course of the weekend.
00:59 It continues to move east,
01:00 passes South of the Aleutians early
01:02 next week and then curls up into
01:03 the Gulf of Mexico so you may get
01:05 some rain in the Alaska Panhandle,
01:07 but it forces the jet stream northward here.
01:09 And then there's a compensating
01:10 bend to the jet stream back to
01:12 the South and the Plain States.
01:14 Next week, yeah,
01:15 and with that change in the weather pattern,
01:17 you know in the West,
01:18 a big change as we get into next week.
01:20 Yeah, a little rainy start of the northwest,
01:22 but then the Ridge builds.
01:24 It turns warm and dry.
01:25 That dip of the jet stream though moves
01:27 eastward means some showers developing
01:28 later in the week and that could set
01:30 the stage for a late week storm.
01:32 We've got rain potential really from
01:34 the Mid Atlantic States into the Northeast.
01:36 Could be a soaking rain with gusty
01:37 winds and the potential for your
01:39 outdoor plans to be disrupted.
01:40 So something to stay tuned here to

01:43 updates through next week.
