Next week’s weather: Conditions turning colder as October continues
The Met office are predicting the mercury to drop slightly over the next few days, as more seasonal temperatures are expected after a warmer start to the month.

00:09 influence is that it helps low pressure in the Atlantic push in from the West
00:15 and it tends to hinder high pressure from developing. So if the computer
00:21 models are a little bit uncertain in a week and a half about whether high
00:25 pressure will dominate or low pressure from the West will dominate, you would
00:28 slightly favour low pressure dominating because at this time of year that's what
00:33 the correlation with El Nino and the UK weather would suggest. So most
00:40 likely later next week and into the weekend after that dry but chilly start
00:45 to the week turning wetter windier and milder, but some uncertainty later in
00:50 October and into November about how wet and windy it could be.
