00:00:06 Alright, alright, alright. Welcome to another episode of Ravenloft Strat's Possession.
00:00:13 We're getting toward the end. If we're not at the end already, I now have, I need to review what I have.
00:00:23 And so I'll go ahead and jump cut to where I need to be.
00:00:30 To jump cut, you're not even going to see where I'm moving right now.
00:00:33 But I am going to be pausing the video in order to figure out whether or not I'm now supposed to go to Castle Ravenloft or not.
00:00:42 If I am, then this will be a double-sized adventure.
00:00:47 Having said that, I will not, well I don't know, maybe I should record the entire adventure of Castle Ravenloft.
00:00:54 Make it a total event.
00:00:56 So, like, comment, share, subscribe, hit the little notification bell.
00:01:02 That will certainly help me on my way to partnership.
00:01:05 And I hope you have a wonderful day. Take care.
00:01:09 (Music)
00:01:13 One second.
00:01:14 Oh, I forgot my Ancient Elven Crown. Gotta keep that.
00:01:18 (Music)
00:01:20 And jump cut, as if you could tell, outside of maybe the music in the background.
00:01:25 So, yeah, at this point I can go directly to Strahd in Castle Ravenloft.
00:01:34 They are up, not down, North Slavic Road.
00:01:40 And I'm mostly not going to be speaking because I'm also watching TV.
00:01:46 You probably heard some sounds from Forbidden Planet in the background during the last video.
00:01:52 But with this particular video, I'll go ahead and give you an uncut one.
00:02:00 I mean, I may still pause the video because I may be interrupted.
00:02:04 You know, because real life.
00:02:08 But, you know, this is fun.
00:02:12 And I'm going to double check.
00:02:14 I'm 90% certain that there is no quest for the lost little boy.
00:02:19 And there's nothing to do with the old crazy woman.
00:02:22 Because I remember spending hours trying to figure out the quest for that forlorn father and the crazy woman.
00:02:31 But if they were supposed to be a quest, they dropped the quest.
00:02:37 It never made it to the final product.
00:02:39 But, yeah, so that's what I'm going to be doing.
00:02:45 And I'm going to clear everything.
00:02:48 So it's North Slavic Road until the end.
00:02:52 Enjoy!
00:02:56 [evil laughter]
00:02:58 Oh, yeah, and if you notice, like the bandits are replaced with ghouls.
00:03:21 This road had bandits, but now they are ghouls.

00:15:30 Oh well. Let's start over.
00:15:34 [music]
00:15:37 Jump cut. I never went to Castle Ravenloft before.
00:15:42 I didn't die. Not me.

00:16:11 Once more, Castle Ravenloft lies ahead.
00:16:18 The first time you came in answer to an invitation, riding within the Lord's carriage.
00:16:23 Now you are riding a newbie.
00:16:26 Without even sending the torchless term to the gate, the castle appears yet more obvious, threatening, and bare.
00:16:34 By slow steps you cross the drawbridge.
00:16:38 It is impossible to shake the feeling in a certain break that someone, somewhere in the vast stonework above, is watching.

00:20:04 One morning in the second half of the year 350, my older--my brother, Sergei, entered my study in a mood too cheerful to bear, too bright and youthful to tolerate.
00:20:14 He had met a girl from the village of such virtue and beauty he planned to marry her. I was furious.
00:20:20 Sergei, destined to embark on a life of service to the Church, was to be our most high priest.
00:20:29 He had already been given the priest's pendant to wear as a symbol of the approaching ceremony, and here he was bumbling over with ludicrous devotion to a peasant.
00:20:40 Less than a week later he brought this wretched embarrassment of his--named Tatyana--to my castle, and I...I fell in love.
00:20:51 I say it simply because it happened simply. At the first sight of her I knew she was as far beyond ordinary beauty as the luster of a jewel is beyond that of a polished glass.
00:21:04 From that moment on, my brother became no more than a cold obstacle to me, and Tatyana became my life.
00:21:13 Strahd.
00:21:16 So, uh, fun fact, I, Strahd, was a huge book for Dungeons & Dragons and TSR.
00:21:29 And it came out right before this game, they put this game out to reflect the book.
00:21:37 It was huge, Ravenloft was big, it was bigger than World of Darkness, Vampire the Masquerade, it was huge.
00:21:44 And Strahd is always just a pure, pure evil man.
00:21:49 Um, anyway, so, uh, I had to do my best to give a voiceover for that, I hope you guys liked it.
00:21:57 Take care, let's go ahead and keep going.
00:22:00 [Music]
00:22:29 Behold, my heart's desire, a pact with death.

00:27:39 The balcony reveals a steep precipice dropping off into the valley below.
00:27:44 A harsh wind threatens those who brave the sight.
00:27:48 While in the distance, Barovia appears as a small grouping of homes, helpless and exposed.
00:27:55 How insignificant it must seem to he who makes castle Ravenloft his home.

00:33:37 These notes are to be added to my folios when a final disposition in the matter of Aslan, the lord of Drakkon, is achieved.
00:33:53 When I contemplate that lich, the fashion by which withered flesh clings to his bones, his stench of mold and decay, and when I think of his great power I despair.
00:34:06 The land between betrayed me in bringing him to my world. It has come to my attention that a brazen female, an assassin by trade, stole from Aslan two objects of necromancy.
00:34:18 Further, my agents among the Vistani say this woman escaped Ravenloft entirely with these objects. How she escaped and the exact nature of the items remains a mystery.
00:34:29 In any event, with these necromantic pieces in my possession they may provide a long-awaited advantage over the lord of Drakkon. I must have them.
00:34:39 Today, the faithful Vistani have informed me of new travelers through the land, along with a curious note from a gypsy seer about objects of power returning to Ravenloft. Are they the same?
00:34:53 Will the few lost fools at last deliver Aslan's power into my hands?
00:34:59 See, everyone was hoping that we would fight Aslan, the lich, in the next video game, but they did The Stone Prophet, which has Octopot, and Octopot was a great story.
00:35:13 But dear God, I wish that they could have continued this line. Oh man, it would have been so awesome to have 12 video games out.
00:35:22 You know, SSI did a whole bunch of Gold Box games, which were good, I mean, they were okay, but I mean, imagine having 12 video games like this. That would have been amazing.

00:53:49 Wow he's actually a badass fighter! I
00:54:03 shit!
00:54:05 He's actually really really good! Level 6, 18-0-0, that's that's pretty that's
00:54:12 pretty fucking amazing! He does not have anything else of value, but yeah okay so
00:54:24 yeah that's that's this guy. Now let me go ahead and decline him.
00:54:31 [Music]
00:54:34 By a turn of ill luck, what God allows you to roam these halls with impunity?
00:54:50 If you're in Strahd's favor, I spit at you. If you've good heart and true, I beg you,
00:54:57 let me join you. Gladly I'll add my strength to yours, that we might escape
00:55:04 this place alive.
00:55:07 [Music]
00:55:11 I'll never tire of thanking you for my freedom, and my strength remains at your
00:55:20 call when you desire it. Should you need me, always come west of Barovia, to the
00:55:26 woods. I'll be waiting.
00:55:29 I honest to God don't know of anybody who would actually bother to go to the
00:55:36 west of the woods west of Barovia. Once you are in Strahd's castle,
00:55:42 you you're just going to finish the game. So I mean I don't understand why I mean
00:55:53 I get if somebody really wanted to go out of their way to get him but this late in
00:55:57 the game you need to be level 8 at least and I mean maybe if you're trying to
00:56:06 speedrun but if you do you're not going to go back so I don't I don't get having
00:56:15 him at the at the woods west you know proper game design would say I'll watch
00:56:22 the entrance for you and to ensure your safe escape like you do that then he's
00:56:30 right there at the entrance right and you just go back to the entrance of the
00:56:34 castle and you got him but to go all the way back to the woods I mean that's
00:56:40 pretty friggin far away. Oh God. Yeah so basically you saw the entire tower that
00:57:01 you missed earlier. That was literally it. Alright, let's see here. Let me mute myself.

01:06:33 Dear Madame, though I think of you often, it is with regret I managed to write so infrequently.
01:06:43 It is also true that securing reliable delivery for my correspondence has become difficult.
01:06:49 On more than one occasion your talents have proven of value to me, as have your readings of the mystical Terracota cards, or Terraca cards.
01:06:59 I believe your ability to see into our future remains unparalleled in the present age.
01:07:05 Without your people, the venerable Vistani, as my allies, I would find my grasp on the land falling away in bits and pieces, like autumn leaves.
01:07:16 Your information on the intruders from beyond our borders has aroused my curiosity unlike any event in recent times.
01:07:24 Thus, when this message is at least presented into your hands, a bonus of great measure beyond our regular agreement will accompany it.
01:07:41 My undying regards, Strahd.

01:08:46 Alright, alright, alright. So, I screwed up. I got my characters killed, and I hadn't have saved in like an hour.
01:08:55 So, I didn't realize that.
01:08:58 So, I've got... I'm tired. It's 1130. I spent two and a half hours on the second stream, and I'm just going to edit this video down.
01:09:13 So, I'm sorry I made the promise that I was going to do a full unedited version of Strahd's castle.
01:09:22 I got lost for an hour and a half. I wound up dying, and now I have to redo a bunch of stuff.
01:09:29 So, I'm just going to go ahead and edit a ton of crap out of this video and finish it tomorrow.
01:09:39 I mean, I might finish it tonight. I don't know, but I'm going to edit the video first and see what to do.
01:09:46 Anyway, so, love you all. Take care. Remember to like, comment, share, subscribe, click the little notification button on my way to partner.
01:09:57 Help me, and take care. Love you all. Bye.
