00:00 - Nailo, NASCAR.com, Riley, congratulations.
00:02 You talked about the weight that's been lifted off of you.
00:06 How much of a toll has this year taken on you,
00:08 just the ups and downs that have come with it?
00:11 Because you talked about the speed
00:13 that you guys have shown at times.
00:15 To go through those ups and downs
00:17 and now to be on the other side of it,
00:18 celebrating here, what's this been like for you?
00:23 - I think the biggest thing is when people aren't around.
00:26 When you don't finish well
00:29 and you go home by yourself,
00:31 you go to dark places, to be honest with you,
00:33 and you start to question yourself.
00:35 That's all that falls back on foundation,
00:38 and you have to have good people around you.
00:40 And for a while in my career, I didn't.
00:42 And I'd start to question myself
00:44 and wonder if I could do this.
00:47 But whenever I was down,
00:48 I would get a call from somebody at Monster
00:50 knowing that they believed in me
00:52 and they told me that they supported me no matter what
00:54 through the ups and downs.
00:56 When a lot of people didn't support me,
00:58 there was a few people who did.
01:00 That was Monster Energy and obviously my parents.
01:01 So some teams didn't support me either.
01:05 And I'm very grateful to everybody at SHR,
01:08 Greg Zippedelli for stepping up to the plate
01:11 when I didn't really have a place to go.
01:13 And they took me in
01:14 and they knew that they could polish me
01:16 and work with me and help me grow
01:18 to become the person I am.
01:19 And there's still so much growth for me to become.
01:21 And hopefully I can stay at SHR for a long time to come.
