00:04 >> How do you feel?
00:07 >> About losing?
00:09 There's only one way to feel, we gotta get this shit together.
00:12 >> What aspects do you feel that as far as the defense, they need to learn?
00:17 >> Second half was a good half.
00:19 First half, we gave them back momentum.
00:21 You can't let a team that you feel like you're imposing your will upon,
00:24 you can't let them get will back.
00:26 Gave them confidence and you saw confidence then put 17 points on that first half,
00:30 another three points in the second half, gave them 20 points all together,
00:33 which was more points than we put up on the board.
00:35 At the end of the day, self inflicted wounds, penalties, extended drives.
00:38 We gotta be able to eliminate those, I've said it weeks before.
00:42 So how do I feel?
00:45 It sucks to lose, it's frustrating to lose when we have the talent to affect
00:49 quarterback, we knew he had up to this point the fastest release of quarterback.
00:53 So it's gonna be frustrating to pass rush after him, but we collapsed the pocket,
00:58 got him to escape, and you saw the throws that we wanted to get out of him.
01:01 At the end of the day, we didn't do enough to get a win.
01:04 >> How did you guys jump in the second half?
01:07 >> Nothing, it was all us.
01:10 Again, you get an interception early on the game, first drive,
01:14 second drive of the game, give it right back.
01:17 It's not fortuitous for our defense.
01:20 You feel like we had another penalty that extended their drive.
01:28 There was a lot of, again, self inflicting wounds.
01:30 We have to focus on us and how to get better rapidly.
01:34 We've got a game in 96 hours or whatever that is.
01:37 >> Did you have a message for your teammates?
01:41 >> We've already talked about it, yeah, in locker room.
01:44 Going into halftime is a challenge too.
01:50 We looked up and it was 90 yards on the ground.
01:53 That's a direct reflection of the D line, interior, exterior, all of us put together.
01:58 So it was a challenge to step the hell up.
02:00 And you saw the energy in the second half.
02:02 So if you want to tell two tales of two tapes is first half didn't have the energy
02:06 that we needed cuz we gave up some momentum back early in the game.
02:10 And the second half, we're back to our defense.
02:15 That being said, back to our standards of defense should be what our standards should
02:18 be from start of the game to the end.
02:20 >> Was it team leadership
02:26 that you had to do to get this thing on course?
02:32 >> Again, as a defense, you can only look at how we played in the second.
02:37 If we came out with that same energy in the first half, if we came off the interception,
02:40 whether it be a pick six would have been great, but just give another chance to our team.
02:47 You look at everything even beyond the two missed kicks.
02:50 You feel like if you were 19 to 20 going to the last drive,
02:53 it's a quick chip for a 22-20 situation.
02:56 You can't get that back.
02:58 Interception early in the game against a quarterback who really hadn't thrown any
03:01 interceptions, you need those.
03:03 I think there was tackles that hit our edge that you can't give those,
03:07 those blatant runs up, especially against our edge.
03:10 I think with our edges, we've been quite stout, and that's not like us.
03:16 So we have to play our type of ball.
03:18 If we do that for four quarters, then we'll talk about it.
03:20 But right now, I'm just looking forward to breaking down this film and
03:22 getting better.
03:23 >> Is this team's confidence still intact after the three-three strike?
03:25 >> It better be.
03:27 Again, if you eliminate our mistakes, it's not like the team came out and
03:32 beat us today, we beat ourselves.
03:33 Gave the ball back.
03:37 Defense did an okay job that first half, better job in the second half.
03:43 We eliminate our mistakes.
03:45 We stay tuned to what we know how to play our brand of football.
03:48 If we execute our plays on a high level each and every play, each and
03:51 every series, the game will go our way more times than not.

03:58 >> Anything else for Cam?
04:00 >> Cool.
04:02 >> Thank you, Cam.
