Cardinals TE Trey McBride Excited for Expanded Role
Arizona Cardinals TE Trey McBride met with reporters following the team's Week 6 loss and preached patience when it came to second half collapses and also touched on his expanded role.

00:26 >> On a weekly basis, you had most snaps tied in yesterday.
00:32 When you get a sense of how much or how little you're gonna play on Sunday,
00:37 or is it a surprise to you when you're actually out there?
00:40 >> Sometimes it's a little surprise, sometimes you don't really know.
00:43 This game I kinda knew I was gonna get a few more reps than I had been.
00:46 I didn't know how many, but they did tell me to be ready to go in,
00:50 a lot of personnel to be able to play this whole game.
00:52 So every week I come in ready to play, I know the whole game plan,
00:56 whether I'm playing one player, I'm playing every place.
00:59 So I prepare like I'm playing every snap every week.
01:02 And when my number gets called, I get thrown in the fire a little bit,
01:05 I know exactly what to do.
01:06 So I was prepared for this game and I felt like I was ready to go.
01:10 A totally new offense, but I feel very comfortable.
01:13 This is something that I ran a lot of system and stuff in college and stuff, so
01:17 I'm very comfortable with this stuff.
01:18 But really, we just gotta execute a little better on offense.
01:22 Played together collectively in all three phases and
01:25 just kinda finish games like I said.
01:27 But ultimately I feel comfortable out there.
01:29 I feel like as an offense we feel comfortable,
01:31 we just gotta execute a little bit better in some cases.
01:33 >> You said you're kinda thrown into the fire a little bit.
01:35 How have you tried to embrace that?
01:39 >> Yeah, I think it's kind of the role I'm in right now.
01:42 I'm excited and every opportunity I get I wanna take full advantage of that.
01:45 Whether I'm playing 20 snaps a game or I'm playing 50,
01:48 I just wanna be able to contribute to the team as much as I can.
01:52 When my number gets called, and when my number gets called,
01:54 I wanna be able to do everything I can to help this team win.
